Username Annotation. Once upon a time I use to go by the name mistress-of-the-fading-moon; however, I now go by the name woochann. It has been a long-time coming from that name, and the change was sought because with time comes change. While I can never be mistress again, I shall always carry a bit of it with me. What I hope you take now is of a more mature, and deeper writer than before.

About the Author & Their Work. I have always been intrigued with the fanfictions that, in essence, expand upon or deepen the mythologies and story-lines present in their chosen material. I also love works that seek to pull from other learned sources so as to add depth, character, and a greater array of knowledge for both characters and the author themselves. That is why it is my hope that, at least with some of my fanfictions, to create a world both familiar and different than the one known. I am not a huge fan of stories that simply repeat the story-line of their material without offering something beyond it. Most fanfictions are attempts of these but the ones I believe that truly succeed are those that take the time to be self-reflective, inquisitive, ask questions of its characters and us, and engage us with thought and intellectual rigor. I do not want you walking away from my stories feeling that you have not, in some way, been altered. Whether it is simply that you have taken the time to think of what makes us human, and what it is to live this out, then I feel I have succeeded in my meta-goal.

Writing, in all avenues, in my personal reflection and core-belief should be to ask questions of us and to seek to be a touchstone to hone us in such a way as to be more aware, thoughtful people. I even believe that fanfiction in and of itself can be such a tool as to add thought, depth, and curiosity into our real lives. That is why I strive myself to jump out of the cliche's some of my writing has dwelled on, and those that others seem bent to repeat. Those, to me, seem forced and I hope to add true intimate moments to my writing for it to be genuine and appealing to both hard-core fans of the things I write and mere dabblers in the subject material, or my own personal writing.

AS OF JUNE 26, 2015: I apologize for the month or two delay in giving you a new chapter for Crane Wings on Windows; I am slowly working on it in-between real life complications and writer's block. Do not worry though, I am still working, albeit slowly. I thank you all for your patience in this matter.

Current Writing Project: "Crane Wings on Windows." Most of my other stories I am leaving as they are until I start working through most of Crane Wings on Windows as it is the only fanfiction currently I am still passionate about to really see it succeed. Other Hakuoki stories of mine will be edited and updated at a later time. In all things please be patient while I go through Crane Wings on Windows to make sure all is well and is being correctly edited. It will be a long process of re-working things but overall I am excited to take on the challenge!
