As you can probably see, I go through many phases... =_=;;

Some I try to follow, and some describe me. Others are just cute or catchy. You can probably see the ones where it's what I am, then what I strive to be. That's why there are a bunch of contradicting ones. :)

The Laws of Anime: Made by Darrin Bright and Ryan Shellito

1. Law of Metaphysical Irregularity
The normal laws of physics do not apply.

2. Law of Differentiated Gravitation
Whenever someone or something jumps, is thrown, or otherwise is rendered airborn, gravity is reduced by a factor of 4.

3. Law of Sonic Amplification, First Law of Anime Acoustics
In space, loud sounds, like explosions, are even louder because there is no air to get in the way.

4. Law of Constant Thrust, First Law of Anime Motion
In space, constant thrust equals constant velocity.

5. Law of Mechanical Mobility, Second Law of Anime Motion
The larger a mechanical device is, the faster it moves. Armored Mecha are the fastest objects known to human science.

6. Law of Temporal Variability
Time is not a constant. Time stops for the hero whenever he does something 'cool' or 'impressive'. Time slows down when friends and lovers are being killed and speeds up whenever there is a fight.

7. First Law of Temporal Mortality
'Good Guys' and 'Bad Guys' both die in one of two ways. Either so quick they don't even see it coming, OR it's a long drawn out affair where the character gains much insight to the workings of society, human existence or why the toast always lands butter side down.

8. Second Law of Temporal Mortality
It takes some time for bad guys to die... regardless of physical damage. Even when the 'Bad Guys' are killed so quickly they didn't even see it coming, it takes them a while to realize they are dead. This is attributed to the belief that being evil damages the Reality Lobe of the brain.

9. Law of Dramatic Emphasis
Scenes involving extreme amounts of action are depicted with either still-frames or black screens with a slash of bright color (usually red or white).

10, Law of Dramatic Multiplicity
Scenes that only happen once, for instance, a 'Good Guy' kicks the 'Bad Guy' in the face, are seen at least 3 times from 3 different angles.

11. Law of Inherent Combustability
Everything explodes. Everything.
First Corollary - Anything that explodes bulges first.
Second Corollary - Large cities are the most explosive substances known to human science. Tokyo in particular seems to be the most unstable of these cities, sometimes referred to as "The Matchstick City".

There is alway an energy build up (commonly referred to as an energy 'bulge') before Mecha or space craft weapons fire. Because of the explosive qualities of weapons, it is believed that this is related to the Law of Inherent Combustability.

First Corollary- Small and cute will always overcome big and ugly. Also know as the A-Ko phenomenon.

16. Law of Inverse Accuracy
The accuracy of a 'Good Guy' when operating any form of fire-arm increases as the difficulty of the shot increases. The accuracy of the 'Bad Guys' when operating fire-arms decreases when the difficulty of the shot decreases. (Also known as the Stormtrooper Effect)
Example: A 'Good Guy' in a drunken stupor being held upside down from a moving vehicle will always hit, and several battalions of 'Bad Guys' firing on a 'Good Guy' standing alone in the middle of an open field will always miss.
First Corollary - The more 'Bad Guys' there are, the less likely they will hit anyone or do any real damage.
Second Corollary - Whenever a 'Good Guy' is faced with insurmountable odds, the 'Bad Guys' line up in neat rows, allowing the hero to take them all out with a single burst of automatic fire and then escape.
Third Corollary- Whenever a 'Good Guy' is actually hit by enemy fire, it is in a designated 'Good Guy Area', usually a flesh wound in the shoulder or arm, which restricts the 'Good Guy' from doing anything more strenuous than driving, firing weaponry, using melee weapons, operating heavy machinery, or doing complex martial arts maneuvres.

Any being displaying extremely high levels of martial arts prowess and/or violent emotions emits light in the form of a glowing aura. This aura is usually blue for 'good guys' and red for 'bad guys'. This is attributed to Good being higher in the electromagnetic spectrum than Evil.

All ugly, non-humanoid alien races are hostile, and usually hell-bent on destroying humanity for some obscure reason.

Any color in the visible spectrum is considered a natural hair color. This color can change without warning or explanation.

Hair in anime is pretty much indestructable, and can resist any amount of meteorological conditions, energy emissions, physical abuse, or explosive effects and still look perfect. The only way to hurt someone's hair is the same way you deal with demons... with bladed weapons!

ANY shape, no matter how convoluted or odd-looking, is automatically aerodynamic.

Clothing in anime follows certain predictable guidelines.
--Female characters wear as little clothing as possible, regardless of whether it is socially or meteorologically appropriate. Any female with an excessive amount of clothing will invariably have her clothes ripped to shreds or torn off somehow. If there is no opportunity to tear off the afore-mentioned female's clothes, then she will inexplicably take a shower for no apparent reason (also known as the Gratuitous Shower Scene).
--Whenever there is a headwind, a Male characters will invariably wear a long cloak which doesn't hamper movement and billows out dramatically behind him.
First Corollary(Cryo-Adaptability) - All anime characters are resistant to extremely cold temperatures, and do not need to wear heavy or warm clothing in snow.
Second Corollary (Indecent Invulnerability) - Bikinis render the wearer invulnerable to any form of damage.

35. Law of Musical Omnipotence
Any character capable of musical talent (singing, playing an instrument, etc.) is automatically capable of doing much more "simple" things like piloting mecha, fighting crime, stopping an intergalactic war, and so on... especially if they have never attempted these things before.

Also called "The Five-man Rule," when "Good Guys" group together, it tends to be in groups of five. There are five basic positions, which are:
a) The Hero/Leader
b) His girlfriend

--Extreme Coolness
--Amazing intelligence

37. Law of Extradimensional Capacitance
All anime females have an extradimensional storage space of variable volume somewhere on their person from which they can instantly retrieve any object at a moment's notice.
First Corollary (The Hammer Rule) - The most common item stored is a heavy mallet, which can be used with unerring accuracy on any male who deserves it. Other common items include costumes/uniforms, power suits/armor, and large bazookas.

Eyes tend to be rather large in Anime. This is because they contain several gallons of water, which may be instantaneously released at high pressure through large tear ducts. The actual volume of water contained in the eyes is unknown, as there is no evidence to suggest that these reservoirs are actually capable of running out. The reason water tends to collect in the eyes is because Anime characters only have one large sweat gland, which is located at the back of the head. Females don't get nosebleeds, but invariably get one heck of a blush along the cheeks and across the nose, suggesting a lot of bloodflow to that region.

Wooden or bamboo swords are just as sharp as metal swords, if not sharper.

Regardless of how long or involved the transformation sequence or how many times they've seen it before, any 'Bad Guys' witnessing a mecha/hero/heroine transforming are too stunned to do anything to interrupt it.

Simply changing into a costume or wearing a teensy mask can make you utterly unrecognizable to even your closest friends and relatives

Supernatural, (New to it, but I LOVE EVERYONE. At least, everyone as in Cas, Dean and Sam. XD They are amazing. Just...so... *there are no words*.)

White Collar, (I love this show. It and Supernatural are the only ones with any regularity that I watch. Neal, Peter, Ell, Mozzie, Diana... I love them all. ])

My Rule:

Here's my one and only rule when it comes to pairings: If you can convince me, and it isn't a crack pairing, then I'll go for it.

I hate the stories that go: "Oh, hi there! I just spontaneously realized that I love you. You just randomly realized that you love me too? Great!" I believe love doesn't happen like that. People have to FALL IN LOVE, not just love. I can go for the "been in love the whole time" thing, but it has to be well written. Yeah, I'm a romantic.

But, there are certain pairings I can't stand. They are:

No-No Pairings:

MustangXHughes- I'm sorry. I realize this is kinda sorta cannon, like before Graicia and Elicia, I get that. It's just... I'm a sentimental person. I saw Full Metal Alchemist for the first time when I was little, and they were just awesome friends! I wanted me and my best friend to be like them! Able to kid around as well as talk about serious things, and always watching out for each other. Then he died and it was awful. A few years later and I read my first MustangXHughes fanfic...a lemon...not knowing what a lemon was besides a fruit... I was traumatized. So...just no to RoyXMaes. Sorry if you like that pairing.

Alex Louis ArmstrongXAnyone- Just...No. My eyes would melt to goo. I can see him being his normal huggy, clingy self, but a serious relationship? With who? And lemon? *shudder* So just...No to this pairing too. Plus, really? What character in FMA would be able to put up with his sparkles 24/7? Now, parental is a whole different story. I can see him looking out for his little crew like Ross and Brosh, along with Ed and Al, but only in the parental/brotherly/friendly way. Not at all romantically.

AnkoXAnyone- I've never really read this pairing because I think she's just way to sadistic and creepy to be romanticly involved with anyone. I know that she was the apprentice to Ooroachimaru or something, and that's what made her creepy, but still. I like her as a character just fine. Just not in pairings.

EdXEnvy, Edvy, whatever- Just...no. There are so many reasons why no, too. 1. They are half brothers (in the anime, not Brotherhood) 2. Envy is to sadistic, manipulative, crazy and just plain evil for him to be right for Ed, sorry. 3. Envy hates Ed. There is no evidence supporting anything else in the seires besides hatred or (fancy that) jealousy. And those are just three, there is way more but I don't feel like listing them. In some stories, I've seen them pull out a friendship just fine, but no pairings can come out, that I've seen, that doesn't make Envy or Ed OOC. If they are to both stick with character, they would likely kill each other sooner than be in a relationship. Maybe brotherly? If Envy becomes good? I've seen it work before. But just no pairings.

HavocXFuery/Ed- No, this does not mean Ed and Fuery and Havoc all in a relationship together. This means no to Havoc with either Fuery or Ed. I see no reason to put Mustang in there, considering Havoc hates him for stealing his girlfriends. Another point, GIRLfriend. Maybe brotherly for both of them and parental for Ed, but just no to pairings.

SasukeXHinata- Sorry, I just don't see it. Hinata likes Naruto, Naruto likes Sakura, Sakura likes Sasuke, and Sasuke is a chicken-butt hair dude bent on revenge. XD Sorry, that's a mean way to put it. More like I can see Hinata with Naruto, Sakura with Naruto and Sakura with Sasuke (it's a long shot though), and Naruto with Sasuke (Yep, there's the yaoi fangirl in me), But Sasuke and Hinata together? Hinata would be mauled by the Sasuke fangirls. Basically, I like the characters in pairings, just not this one.

Alfons HiendreichXEd- No. Alfons is like... he doesn't even act like Al. So, sorry, just no. Plus, he's dead. XD Sorry, sorry, sorry. That was a low blow if you like this pairing. It just doesn't work for me.

Yeah... Sorry if I offended anyone. I just named the pairings that I don't click on stories with and said why. It's fine if you like them, these are just my personal preferences.

Characters I love: Naruto Uzumaki, Oz Vessalus, Gilbert Nightray, Alice - The Bloody Black Rabbit, Edward Elric, Zero Kiryuu, Alphonse Elric, Riza Hawkeye, Roy Mustang, Minato Namakize (Or however you spell his last name- The Fourth, Yondiame, Naruto's Dad, previously known as Arashi Kazuma, etc.), Romano (Lovino Vargas, South Italy), Spain (Antonio... Don't know his last name...), Alfred F. Jones (The United States of America), etc. For the "why", they're freaking awesome that's why! XD

The "etc." means that there are more that I just can't think of right now. All of the above can tolerate teasing so I often, jokingly, poke fun at them.(For example: Mustang is a government issued pyromaniac.) I can handle that, if when I get around to writing stories, you want to tease or poke fun at them in reviews. But absolutely no bashing allowed. Unless they are not listed. :)

Characters that just rub me the wrong way: Danzou, Sai, Vincent Nightray, Alyss, Hakuro (from the first FMA anime, the half-robot guy) , Envy(cross-dressing palm tree),Dante, Rose (she's annoying), Shou Tucker (who doesn't hate him?), Noah (same as Rose), Draco Malfoy (sometimes he's ok, just most of the time), etc.

I can handle them if they are written well, just their character in the actual cannon story usually just bugs me or I strongly dislike them. Sorry if you like them. Again, these are just my personal opinons.
