Author has written 37 stories for Dragon Age.

Standard Disclaimer: I own nothing, BioWare owns all. I just play in their pond. Adding this disclaimer here, so I can stop worrying about tweaking it in on updates and new stories.

BioWare made me do it. Really. Including the game spoilers down below, so don't read about my stories if you don't want to know what's coming. ;)

After having gone through the games enough to know most of them inside out, and after lapsing from writing even though I really enjoy it, I found myself poking around here and wondering about the things you don't see in the games. And, here we are.

The basics: female, far too old for fangirling (though I do it anyway), residing in Midwest US.

Random trivia: when I post a story, you can bet at least one of my legs is asleep. I can't sit at the desk for two seconds without a very large cat arranging himself in my lap.

Pet peeve: they're teyrns, not teryns.

The World According to Snark

Now that I've finished building the framework for Thedas as I interpret it, here are some of the "facts" for how things played out in my head.

The Warden was Aedan Cousland. As is hinted in Through the Blackest Nights, he ended up paired with Zevran. However, Aedan ultimately sacrificed himself to slay the Archdemon.

Alistair became King, and Loghain was killed during the Landsmeet. Anora remained imprisoned. The post-Blight Alistair in my universe is rather more mature than we might see in game, but for all that he's still every bit as innocent as the stumbling boy I fell in love with during Origins.

During my DA2 stories, which set up the frame of Thedas-in-my-head, it's revealed that Danica Amell is alive and well, eventually marrying Alistair after being sent to court as the liaison to the Circle of Magi.

Davin Hawke, who was the character from my original DA2 playthrough, ends up paired with Anders.

Dragon Age: Origins

Whisper in the Night: Aedan Cousland's perspective on the events leading up to Twice Bitten, which picks up after Zevran is introduced to the group. Complete.

Twice Bitten: Tells the story of the Blight from Zevran's point of view, as recalled to Danica Amell almost ten years later. In progress.

Judge Me Worthy: One-shots from varying points of view connected to Twice Bitten. Zevran can only relate what he's seen, and there's so much more to be told. In progress.

Dragon Age 2 and Post-Game

The Smallest of Deeds: Digs into Hawke's interactions with all companions throughout DA2, but focuses on Anders. You know, love interest and all. This came from my desire to explain everything that changed about Anders, and some heavy thinking about why the Chantry would have gone the way it did. Complete.

Through the Blackest Nights: Sequel to The Smallest of Deeds, carrying out the post-game bits referenced within TSOD. Complete.

By Any Other Name: On the anniversary of the end of the Blight, Danica Amell considers her freedom from the Circle as its liaison to the court, and Alistair struggles with his memories of the end of a war. One of the earliest truly meaningful interactions between them as they find each other. One shot; complete.

Funeral for a Friend: Danica Amell, at the Circle. Some insight into comments she made during Through the Blackest Nights, though it stands alone. She was not one of those who were content to stay in a tower. One-shot; complete.

Ordinary Enchantment: Danica/Alistair, directly related to Funeral for a Friend. Perhaps a hint at how they finally decided they were courting each other. One-shot; complete.

Symmetry: Reflections on each other, surrounding the first night Danica and Alistair spend together and the meaning of what they've found. One-shot; complete.

Written in the Rime: One year after Symmetry, events force Alistair and Danica to think about duty and desire. One-shot; complete.

Practical Revolution: Danica and Alistair consider the consequences and benefits of a royal engagement. One-shot; complete.

Ignobility: A Danica story, set later in the Dragon Age timeline. This gives us a glimpse at who she is now - an impulsive wise-ass who knows she's not fit to be Queen but is pushing ahead with it anyway. The context of this story relies heavily on the framework built in Through the Blackest Nights, although it stands well enough on its own. One-shot; complete.

Bosom Bodyguard: Zevran has returned to Denerim, after clearing out anyone chasing her down for the bounty on her head as a result of her trip through Antiva City. In this story, we see the very beginning of his trust in her. One-shot; complete.

The Wizard in the Tower: A fairy tale story that stands on its own, but is a companion to The Smallest of Deeds. This is the story Hawke and his siblings heard from a Chantry sister one market day in Lothering. One-shot; complete.

Wisp in the Dark: This one actually features a deliberately genderless Hawke, showing Anders's perspective on various ends of his life. It serves as a companion piece now to TSOD, however - the backstory Anders was given there is referenced within the larger story. Vaguely in progress, as it's a dark piece and there's no telling when I'll want to go back there.

Cheeky Monkey Prompts and Random Insanity

Yes, I am one. Always have been, though now I'm a member of the community as well. ;) Stories listed here have nothing to do with Thedas-in-my-head as described above. They're all one-shots that spawned from the recesses of my imagination that I just can't bring myself to inflict on the characters I actually like. ;)

Inevitable: The challenge was to write a difficult character. Naturally, I went for Fenris, who's difficult because I can't stand his default viewpoint in the game, and BioWare never let him develop at all. Hard for me to get into his head, so I chose a moment in the timeline before I started developing him for my own purposes.

Some Enchantment Required: This takes us back to Origins in response to a challenge to create an impossible pairing. Yep. I went there.

Glowing and Sparkles: A Satinalia parody at Vigil's keep. This wasn't actually a Monkey prompt until I made it one after writing it, because God knows I'm not the only one out there with a sense of humor.

Poor Unfortunate Souls: The second parody to be spawned from a conversation with another author here. A desire demon's attempts to ensnare a young mage.

Stick-ebana: A third parody prompted by conversation with another writer, following up with our poor desire demon from the previous story.

Support Magic: Another parody, this one inspired by Shakespira and her Warden Josslyn Amell, as revealed in the fabulously hilarious With Noble Intent.

A Bra Mination: Following our poor desire demon from her first appearance and touching on Support Magic. I swear I should be committed for this.

Past the Radar: The desire demon has returned, with help from an unexpected source.

Other Bits and Bobs

One Untrue Epic: A lighter take on the characters written in Poison and Wine, part of Frayed One's three-part series, Varric Tethras: One True Epic. How meta; it's my first fan-fic based on a fan-fic! Written as a gift-fic for Frayed One.

Guest Appearances

Through the Brownest Mud: Gift fic written by Frayed One, who took over my characters as written in Through the Blackest Nights and gave them a hilarious - and non-spoilery - interlude during one of the scenes alluded to in the story.

Dragon Age Kink Meme

Started taking these so I can get practice in with writing all manner of different things, including the dirty, dirty secks.

Mistaken Identity: Response to a prompt for a confused Carver. Originally intended as a one-shot. Continuing by popular demand.

Like Magic: Reworked and published in response to a prompt for an angsty solo scene.

Sins of the Mother: Response to a prompt for more on Leandra's thoughts in Act 2.

Lyrium Blush: Response to a prompt for Isabela mocking Fenders.

Lyrium Shock: Yes, fine, I answered an actual Fenders prompt. It'll probably be the only time I do, but I needed to push myself hard outside my comfort zone.

Why Mages are Feared: And now back to Anders, in response to a prompt involving his name and the concept "BAMF." This one was fun to write.
