Hello, fellow Internet drifters who have nothing better to do with their times! I am Mr. 96, a fan of everything fictitious! Series I like: Transformers, DC, Marvel, Ben 10, Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, all anime...the list is just too long. Favorite Music Artist: Sia My favorite BADASS characters who nobody gives a damn about because they're too obscure 1. Warsman (from Kinnikuman and Ultimate Muscle) 2. Tex Hex (from Bravestarr) 3. Galvatron (the MOST BADASS incarnation of Megatron YET!) from G1. My catchphrases are "All of mankind is evil!" (though I don't get to say that often enough) and "You wanna explain to me why there aren't any crossovers of RWBY and Bleach yet?" (I also don't get to say that enough, because hardly anyone can give me an answer) I wear a mask (it's on my profile picture) for I have a secret identity. No one must know who I truly am. I'm sure it's the same with all those who have an account on this site or YouTube or DeviantART--of course some will try to make themselves available to their public, but in the end, it is the mask of their account that overshadows their true selves. I use this to my advantage in keeping my privacy. So I keep my true name and my true face a secret, no matter how much I wish to reveal myself, for I do not wish for people to connect "Mr. 96" with my true self, as I believe it would put forth an image of me I do not wish to have. Other than this, I will only say that I am a man, if my name did not already give that away. My mask may be my true self, but watch out for the man on the street. You never know who it is in your life that turns out to be more than they seem. You can never be sure...who is a passing friend and who is Mr. 96. Everybody on this site seems to have the impression that you can interpret a character's personality in a multitude of ways. Seeing characters act in a way different from how I have seen them act is, to me at least, a bit unnerving, as it takes away from how the author intended their characters to be. Now, I am no stranger to having my own specific view of a character in my head (it doesn't show up too much in my works, but I think of Ichigo as this perpetual grouchy figure), but I think that any alternate character interpretation should at least try to preserve what the original character is. You can write Monkey D. Luffy as a selfish, greedy, and cowardly person, and make him far more intelligent than he was before, but you should never take away his potential for incredible grit under pressure and his love for his crewmates. You can have the Doctor indulge in violence as a sharp contrast to who he is on TV, but you should never make it so that he does it because he enjoys it: He should do it because the situation he's in demands it. Copy and paste this if you are also against alternative character interpretation. The day-to-day thought processes of a fanfiction writer with Aspberger's Syndrome and ADHD: "Okay, I got a story to write, but...hey, maybe I should work on my other fics." "Or hey, maybe I should start a new one! Darn, I can't pick what to do!" "Maybe I should watch some shows...but what do I watch? Soul Eater, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fate/Stay Night, Heroic Age, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Shaman King, Power Rangers, Beast Wars, Reboot, Shadow Raiders, Dragon Ball, Bleach, Naruto (not likely if you're me), Fairy Tail, Ben 10, Justice League, Sonic, Mega Man, Devil May Cry...(list goes on and on forever until I name a show I know nothing about)"- Copy and paste if you're just like that! If I die from drunk driving, To my mom, dad, younger brother, and any one of my friends. I died today because my friends decided to do something foolish, and I decided to join them. Don't feel too sad. Death is a natural state of being, and life is full of its downsides too. This started with a choice. Someone could have said no, someone could have stopped this before it started. But after it started, we couldn't have stopped it or prevented it, even if we wanted to. I'm sorry I left you so soon. I was taken early. I have a lot of regrets. I leave this world without fulfilling my dreams and my expectations. My one wish is this: Don't press charges against the drunk driver. If you do, he'll be just as much of a victim as I was: His torment will be just like mine. He'll lose his family, and his hopes and dreams will be crushed forever, if he gets life imprisonment or the death penalty. That's what I'm going through. I don't want anyone else to go through that. I want survivors. Copy and paste this message if you are against drunk driving. Or, make your own version. If you can't make up your mind between Ichiruki and Ichihime, copy and paste this into your profile. If you've ever done something stupid and for an even dumber and more inane reason, copy and paste this message into your profile, then say what you've done, then PM the result to the person you copied-and-pasted this from, they could use a laugh: I quit brushing my teeth because I couldn't find my favorite toothpaste- mr. 96 Everyone of my generation (or a few years before that)remembers Power Rangers from their youth. When exposed to Super Sentai, many felt that the latter was even better, although I'm sure they still loved Power Rangers. As for me, I have a philosophy: Power Rangers has better characters (I'm serious, the characters are a lot more developed in Power Rangers than in Super Sentai), but everything else was better with Super Sentai. Oh, except Timeranger and Time Force. I liked Ransik better than Don Dolerno. I've met jerks of the anime fandom who insist that the subs are infinitely better. Truly, I can't see the problem with dubs. Usually all the changes they make are absolutely necessary. And I do like the voice acting in any dub. Some OC's I am planning to use in the future: Nigo Kurosaki (Bleach)- Nigo is a complete duplicate of Ichigo Kurosaki, which is the reason for his nickname ("Ichi" means one, "Ni" means two). Depending on what story he's in, his origin changes--for example, in my Shakugan no Shana/Bleach crossover, he's a Torch of Ichigo, created while Ichigo was absent from the story for a time, but stuck around when the real Ichigo came back. In all fics he appears in, he wields either Zangetsu or Ichigo's new Zanpaku-To after Ichigo gets a second Zanpaku-To after losing his old one, then getting Zangetsu back. He often changes his appearance in any fic he's in, usually dying his hair black and putting on glasses or dying his hair blond and changing the hairstyle. Racon (Soul Eater)- a reincarnation of Crona, Racon is a complete duplicate of him/her, except he is obviously male, wears mostly white, and has blond hair and blue eyes. He usually wears a white dress shirt, suspenders and a tie, as well as a fedora that Maka gave him. Whenever he uses a Weapon, the weapon's personality takes over his body, allowing the Weapon to move and act through Racon. It is similar to Masamune's takeover attribute. Tina Faust (Soul Eater)- Tina is an undead girl, with blue skin like Sid. Her weapon is Victor, and although the two annoy each other, they share the same habit of being overly dramatic. Like all true Mary Sues, she crushes over Kid like an insane fangirl. Victor (Soul Eater)- Victor is a Death Scythe (as of the events of the story I'm putting him in) who can change his appearance to match anyone. Alan (PR Samurai)- the Black Ninja Ranger. Alan comes from a school of ninjutsu that has been rivals to the Shiba clan, although in truth they were allies, but Alan doesn't know that. He claims to be good at anything, saying that all ninjas are. Originally hates the Samurai Rangers due to him thinking that they destroyed his ninja school and killed his classmates and teachers, but later becomes an ally, although not joining the Samurai Rangers because, in his words, "I'm a ninja, not a samurai." Unlike the Samurai Rangers, he'll do anything to win. His sidearm is the Shuriken Shotgun, and his main weapon is the Ninja Blade. Pilot of all the Scroll Zords due to him being the only Ninja Ranger still alive. Notes on my current stories: My Arabian Knight: An Ichigo X Isane fic. I planned to put a cover on it with a heart picture and the words "I.K. and I.K." written in it, but that never happened. Ultimately Annihilated: While I said it was based on an RP my friend and I had, actually only the Shana vs. Hollow Ichigo and Yuji vs. Hollow Ichigo parts are from that RP. My friend actually thinks my story doesn't make sense. I'm currently trying to make a comeback because I thought that writing would be therapeutic to these dark times when I couldn't go out and enjoy my life the way it was before, but unfortunately all of my current fics (and some new ones I'm trying to work on) are stuck in development hell. So that nobody thinks I'm doing a cop-out, I shall let you all in on a little secret to my success: Just as Dan Harmon created the "Story Circle" as a streamlining of the "Hero's Journey" meta-plot, I too work from a streamlined version of traditional dramatic structure called the "Kishotenketsu," a traditional metastructure used in a lot of Asian narratives. It goes a little something like this: 1. Introduction ("Ki"): Introducing characters and setting 2. Development ("Sho"): The main bulk of the story, a build-up to the twist 3. Twist ("Ten"): The climax. The story turns towards an unexpected development 4. Conclusion ("Ketsu"): The ending. Most plot threads are wrapped up here. |
