Author has written 10 stories for Ben 10, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, Naruto, Toaru Majutsu no Index/とある魔術の禁書目録, Fate/stay night, RWBY, and Fairy Tail. Hello, internet. All of you who were kind enough to look at my profile page can call me Animan10. I'm just a guy on the internet trying to improve his abilities as a writer as a hobby. I like pretty much anything that is animated or has an animated incarnation. I also can get pretty defensive when it comes to any series that I think is good and will do whatever I can to defend it. Coupled with the fact that my standards for what make a series good are much lower that most people's and my overall optimistic view on entertainment, it gives me a considerable amount of self-inflicted grief. Right now, I am working on a Toaru Majutsu no Index Fanfic that I titled A Certain Strange Addition. It attempts to mend together the stories of Index and Railgun into a single narative with new character relationships, a slight turn in traditional events, and much more exploration in the characters. Give it a look if you're interested. I also have several other stories for the franchise, experimenting with other scenarios. Give them a look if you liked ACSA. On another note, one of my previous. works which is sadly now dead is a Ben 10/RWBY crossover which has delved a bit into quantum physics and existence theories. Because of this, I have been flooded with questions regarding my layout of existence. In response to these questions, I have decided to lay out all of the answers in a single place, here. On a side note, should I do another crossover, my same theory of existence will most likely apply to them. Just a reminder, this theory is built entirely from my personal research of existence theories on the internet and what is provided in the Ben 10 franchise pre-reboot (no that does not mean before Omniverse, despite what some hater would want you to believe). Omniverse Existence Theory All of existence in contained within the omniverse, which supersede everything else in existence. Within the omniverse are multiverses, which consist of all of the possible past, presents, and futures that a universe could have experienced or could experience. Each of these paths in time can be qualified as a universe, with each existing on a different time-plain. In essence, the omniverse is a forest, multiverses are the trees in that forest, and universes are the branches of those trees. Still with me? If not, read the first paragraph again, because now we get into the information pulled from Ben 10. The Contemelia, a race of aliens that exist on a five dimensional plain (as opposed to the four dimensional plain we inhabit consisting of length, width, height, and time), go around the cosmos creating universes as experiments using a different versions of a device they call the Anihilargenesistoriafimiaorgost (Anihilarg for short). These devices create universes through an explosion we refer to as the Big Bang, releasing all matter, energy, and time. The release of time causes branching timelines, turning a universe into a multiverse the moment it comes into existence. Simple enough right? No? Well, if you don't already have a headache then your probably going to get one now. Traveling through the omniverse is very possible through traditional means, it would just take a really long time. As seen in the Ben 10 Ultimate Alien episode "The Forge of Creation" it is possible to physically travel between universe by traveling through the space beyond a universe. However, these universes will not have shared history, as they are the creation of different Anihilargs. Should someone or something travel between these universes, they would only be able to reach universes that exist on the same time-plain. To travel between different time-plains to visit other versions of a universe within a multiverse, one must have the means to travel through what the Ben 10 franchise calls "crosstime". To do this, one either needs a time machine, or to posses the natural ability to do so, such as the likes of Professor Paradox, Chronosapians, and Clockwork(Danny Phantom. There also exist alternate spacial plains, which hold each old the different dimensions of a universe within them. These other spacial plains where dimensions like the Null Void, Ledgurdomain, the Ghost Zone, and the multiple dimensions seen in Star vs the Forces of Evil. Some of these dimension even exist on on alternate time plains were time flows differently, such is the case with Dimension 12 of Ben 10 and Hekapoo's Dimension in SVTFOE. These places can be accessed through devices and artifacts like Null Void projectors, the Door to Anywhere, Ghost Portals, and Dimensional Scissors. As for traveling within the same time-plain, everything is rooted to a specific time period. When something travels through time, the past they can visit is limited to the past that lead to that present. When traveling to the future, it is only possible to travel to futures that have experienced the minimum of common events with the present that the time traveler is from. This is best exemplified with Ben of Ben 10 meeting three different versions of his future. The original series Ben 10,000 had only experienced significant events that ten-year-old Ben has experienced, so events like his retirement at age eleven and the recalibration of the Omnitrix were never experienced by this Ben 10,000. The Ultimate Alien Ben 10,000 only experienced what Ultimate Alien Ben of the present had experienced at the time the two meet. Hence, this Ben 10,000 never got the new Omnitrix and still had the Ultimatrix, although to was recalibrated. The Omniverse Ben 10,000 is at this point the canon future for Ben since there are no longer any significant events that could be missed that lead to this future. Ben has the new Omnitrix and gave it to his son Kenny when he built the Biomatrix. All previous versions of Ben 10,000 are now unaccessible through conventional time travel since events that would have caused significant change to the flow of time have already passed. The same principle applies to Danny Phantom. The bad future of The Ultimate Enemy is no longer accessible and is now impossible since the key event that leads to it (Danny cheating on the CAT) was avoided. Headache anyone? Well, it's about to get worse. When anyone creates an idea, a possible work of fiction, the world they build is already in existence somewhere in the omniverse. The same can be applied to dreams, since they are also just subconscious figments of imaginations. Since there are infinite possibilities for what exists within the omniverse, anything you could think of exists in some universe on another time-plain, possibly in another multiverse. Anyone have a headache yet? Don't worry, I'm about to explain why you get one, but most characters who deal with and/or str aware of this do not. Many characters in "fiction" understand these ideas and can comprehend this without getting a headache for any combination of the following reasons. First, they could be just that smart and can understand these ideas with no difficulty at all, as is the case with Azmuth(Ben 10). Second, it could be a natural part of their lives, such is the case with Chronosapians(Ben 10) and Clockwork(Danny Phantom). And finally, it could be that they have already gone insane from thinking about this and may or may not have been alive for so long that they got bored with being insane and became sane again because of it, the former case possibly being Deadpool(Marvel) and the later case being Professor Paradox(Ben 10). Paradox even admitted to this in his premiere episode in Ben 10 Alien Force, "Paradox". In Professor Paradox's own words, "Time travel is for immortals and fools." If you have a headache from thinking about this, that just means you were foolish enough to try to comprehend this. Heck, I have a bit of headache now. Okay I jest, but seriously, I can't answer every question about my own layout of existence. There are just some things we are not meant to comprehend. At least not yet. |
