![]() Author has written 30 stories for Harry Potter, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Prison Break, Revolution, Thor, Arrow, Firefly, and Avengers. *PLEASE NOTE* For probably obvious reasons, I've changed my user name. I had gone by isis_uf since the late 1990s and due to current world events, I didn't want to continue to be associated with that name. Thus... So_Caffeinated is born. Thanks for reading my work! I appreciate your time and would be grateful for any feedback you'd care to give. A little about me... I'm 30-something, married, live in Oregon and am a mom to a little boy born in March of 2010 and a girl born in September of 2008. I've previously written fan fics for Buffy, Angel, Roswell, Battlestar Galatica, X-Files, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Lost, Supernatural and La Femme Nikita (the one from the 1990s, not the current one). I've been writing fan fiction for the last twenty-some years. I'm currently only writing new fics for the Marvel movie universe, Arrow, Harry Potter, and (hopefully) Prison Break. I read every single review and they all mean a lot to me. Thank you for taking the time to read! A little about my stories... Posted Better Days - It's Remus/Tonks, but it's not a happy story by any means. One reviewer referred to it as a "dystopia," which I think is pretty darn accurate. It's meant to be upsetting. It's a complete one-shot and I won't be doing anything else in that universe (I don't think my brain could handle it). This is M rated for various reasons and shouldn't be read by younger readers. Four Conversations That Could Have Saved The World (And One That Did) - Yes, that's the whole title... it wouldn't fit in the space provided by ffn. As is true of most "Five things that never happened to..." type stories, each segment of this is independent from the others. This story is Marauder-era and complete. The last of the five parts is canon-compliant. The other four are not. I'm not planning any sequels. The Great Christmas Pudding Caper (or, Ways in Which Remus Lupin is Very Much a Marauder) - Yeah, another one that ffn cut the name off for (what is it with me and long titles?). This was initially written for the 2006 metamorfic_moon Advent challenge on livejournal. It's meant to be funny (and I hope it succeeds). It's Remus/Tonks and Sirius/Hestia, complete and very canon-compliant. I'm not planning any sequels. Rated T for strong sexual innuendo and mild swearing. Where Monsters Lie - This story is rated M for violence, some gore, sex, language and adult themes. It's a post-war Remus/Tonks story. It was canon-compliant through Half-Blood Prince, but is now completely AU after Deathly Hallows for obvious (and not so obvious) reasons. It's on indefinite hiatus. Blood Brothers - This one is a work in progress about the fraternal relationships between Sirius and Regulus as well as Sirius and James, contrasting the two. The first third is up, I don't have an estimate on when the rest will be posted (sorry). Aside from one tiny detail toward the end, it will be canon-compliant. Now on indefinite hiatus. The Way We Fall - It's a Remus/Tonks with spoilers for Deathly Hallows. A painfully canon-compliant fic, the story is short and complete. Intersections - It's a Supernatural crossover with virtually every fandom I can think of, but it's not really a crack-fic. It's rated T for implied sex (het), violence and prolific swearing. The first third is posted and I am (still) planning on continuing to write this. scars like souvenirs - My first completed Vampire Diaries fic. It's a character study of Damon, short and complete. There will not be sequels. I rated it T but honestly it probably doesn't deserve above a K. Four Girls Sirius Black Could Have Fallen In Love With (And One He Did) - Pretty much self-explanatory. Yet another fic that ffn cut the name off of. This is finally complete and is rated M for sex, cursing, adult themes, violence, canon compliance and the awfulness of war. Credit for some concepts and original characters belong to the members of my now-defunct RPG, linked to at the bottom of my profile. A Priori - Yeah, this one is a time-travel fic. Cliche? Yeah. Sorta. But I'm having fun with it and I hope to take a different approach to it than most. It's M-rated for later chapters (sex, violence, swearing, adult themes, death, etc) and very, very on-going. Pairings include a lot of OCs and this is semi-inspired by our RPG (so... at least you know the OCs are well thought out?) but you do not need any familiarity with our RPG for it to make sense (it's a beast of a thing and I don't expect anyone to have read it). You may recognize some characters from "Four Girls..." if you read that. Updates are likely to come in fits and spurts. While this isn't currently being worked on, it's something I absolutely will come back to time and time again. I love the OCs far too much to ever give them up entirely. Five Ways Michael Never Proposed To Sara (But Totally Could Have) - My first Prison Break fic. Nowhere near as sappy as the title might imply. It's rated T for scenes with mortal peril, sensuality, mild cursing and total denial of season four. It is complete. Into the Dark - Like a lot of people, I found the ending of Prison Break to be totally unsatisfying. This fic was planned to be the first out of a series of four that follow canon and - without directly contradicting it - reshape the end. That's not to say that life will be all beaches and fifty cent beers. This particular story is angsty and rated M primarily for adult themes (no sex). It is about 10k words and complete. The series as a whole will be quite long, I think, with action and violence (and probably sex) and most definitely rated M. Look for "Five Minutes to Midnight" as the next in the series (see below). Five Minutes to Midnight - The immediate sequel to "Into the Dark" and meant to be the second of a series of four stories (with possible one-shot complimentary pieces in the future), this story centers around a rescue mission to get Michael out of the Company's hands. This is now complete and the last two planned fics in this series are NOT currently being worked on, but may be picked up again in the future. Toy Soldiers - My first (and only) Revolution fic. Basically? It's Monroe/inferiority-complex because apparently I really like fictional screwed up, unhealthy relationships. Rated T for all the same kinds of things you see on the show. Asgard's Rules for Visitors - T but probably should just be K. This is Darcy/Loki and the first of my Avengers cliche bingo blackout challenge, fulfilling the square for "pretend to be a couple." Complete. for want of nothing - M, but probably should be T. Sif/Loki pre-Thor and my own personal head!canon. Heavy on the imagery and fairly angsty. Short and complete. That One Adventure Thor and Loki Swear Never Happened - M but probably should be T. This is for my Avengers cliche bingo blackout challenge, fulfilling the body swap square and probably the accidental powers square too. Essentially, Loki and Thor accidentally switch bodies and awkwardness happens. Loki/Sif with very, very mild implications of Thor/Sif. Humor, angst, nudity, and way more plot than intended. I really had intended this to be a one-shot, but I failed. Complete. The First Casualty - Rated T for thematic elements. It's Clint/Darcy but the focus is really on Natasha and Darcy and what happens in the immediate aftermath of Darcy killing someone in self-defense. This is a completed one-shot and part of my trope bingo challenge (I totally willfully misinterpreted the "first time" square because I have very little interest in writing virgin smut). What Happens on Midgard Stays On Midgard (...Except For When It Doesn't) - Rated T for hangovers, one-night stands and mild language. Written for the Mischief and Mistletoe 2014 fic exchange on AO3, this story is for coffeesuperhero. It also ticks a few boxes in my trope bingo challenge. The fic centers around Sif/Loki in a vague near future when Loki is quasi-redeemed. While its focus is certainly on Sif and Loki and the aftermath of Tony Stark's New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas, it also includes most of the Avengers and some other familiar faces. Complete. Actions Speak Louder Than Words (and other true sayings) - Rated M for violence, romance, vigilantism, innuendo, mild language and sex. This is Oliver/Felicity and my first (but totally not going to be last) Arrow fic. The plot centers around the media getting their hands on a photo of Felicity and Oliver kissing and the tremendous fallout from that. In spite of that plot, it's very much an ensemble fic with lots of characters involved. There's a lot of humor as well as angst and definitely more plot than I had expected when starting this thing. Felicity's characterization (in particular) means a lot to me and I've aimed to be as true to her awesomeness as I'm able to. Now complete at over 88k words! Other stories in this universe are likely, titling the universe Stop The Presses. Unwoven Threads - Rated T for now, this is a dumping ground for unrelated ficlets resulting from prompts left to me. All Arrow, mostly Olicity. Current Unposted Projects Lessons Learned The Hard Way (Are The Best Kind) - Loki/Darcy and looooong. Definitely M rated (as opposed to so many things I've rated M but didn't really deserve it). Humor, snark, sex, politics and angst. This is Not Casablanca - Loki/Darcy all-human Hollywood-AU for my trope bingo challenge. I've been tinkering with this thing for months, which is ridiculous because it's not that long. M-rated for smut and Darcy's potty mouth. Important Note I also have a tremendous amount of fan-fic writing in the form of a collective writing project at Sun and Shadow. I have called it an RPG repeatedly, but unlike RPGs it's really more of a collaborative writing effort with plotlines and drabble- or ficlet-length posts, rather than one-line entries. We churned out some amazing work by everyone involved over the two years or so that we worked on this. So, if you're looking for some fairly extensive reading material, I'd highly recommend it (so long as you don't mind that it's AU Marauder-era and the ships are not canon). I played Clio Harper (an OC), Stella Gardner (also an OC), Remus, and Regulus. I've also wrote from Remus' father's PoV and a couple as Andromeda Tonks. It should be noted that parts of the RPG feature graphic, strong adult content (both sex and violence). They will be warned for prior to the cut, otherwise all posts should be assumed to be rated T. |
