Author has written 21 stories for Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, Fringe, and Trauma Center. UPDATE: For anyone wondering, Welcome Home has not been abandoned. To cut a long story short, since the start of the year I've had a few serious issues which meant writing had to be sidelined for a while. But, the issues have now been resolved (yay) so I can get back on track with writing. I hope to have the final chapter of Welcome Home uploaded for you very soon. Cheers. -THT Let’s see here... I’m a university student with more ideas than time. I’ve finally arrived I can be more like myself. Life’s too short to be giving a damn to what other people think of me. If people like what you’re doing, great. If they don’t, fuck them. Trust me though, it’s taken a lot of time for me to get there. I once got stuck in a lift (what you American folks call an elevator) while dressed as a cow. For the rest of my life, I will wish I could have taken a picture of the guy who pried us out of that lift. His face was hilarious. I believe in having a sense of humour in the face of adversity. I wouldn’t have survived this past year without it. For instance, if your mother is undergoing treatment for a blood clot in her brain, and when on a night out with your friends you see a shot on the menu called ‘Blood Clot’, you take a picture of the menu listing on your cell phone, send it to your mum with the tagline ‘Found your drink’, buy said said and drink said shot. Just because. If anyone’s wondering, it tasted like cough medicine and my mum responded with a very sarcastic “Ha. Ha. You’re funny.” I have a bad habit of mulling over and procrastinating decisions – some important, some as ridiculous as ‘Should I buy myself a bacon roll before class starts?’ - which I ultimately and invariably make with two simple words: “Fuck it.” If a sample of my blood was taken, it would be discovered that pure tea was being pumped through my arteries and veins. There’s a reason the poster on my wall says ‘KEEP CALM AND DRINK TEA.’ That being said, I’m not opposed to a good coffee either. My favourite gadget in my house is the coffee machine. :D Seemingly in contrast to most university students, I don’t like to go out every weekend and party until I’m trashed. Don’t get me wrong, I will have a quite drink every now and again – and yes, I am above the legal age for buying alcohol. Drink of choice, Kahlua and Coke. Yum. I will also (and usually do) drink a Jack Daniels and coke. And nothing says Christmas like a cup of mulled wine. Really, I don’t drink often at all. I know it doesn’t sound like that right now. Oops. I play rugby and I row. I’m forever covered in bruises. I’m also a huge fan of Formula 1 racing. There are no words for how upset I am that BBC will only be covering half of the races next year, with Sky Sports – a subscription channel – will be showing all of them. Aside from the personal annoyance, I think it’s going to be bad for the sport. My favourite F1 driver is Mark Webber (closely followed by Jenson Button.) I’m not a fan of Lewis Hamilton in the slightest. You get the strangest look from people when you tell them you’re a girl who enjoys watching F1. It’s really annoying and I don’t understand why that would be so strange to people. In case you hadn’t already guessed, I’m not exactly what you might class as a girly girl. And I’m not one of those girls whose entire life hinges on whether or not she gets the guy. I couldn’t care less. Another ‘in case you hadn’t noticed’ I drop the F-bomb far more often than I should. It’s a Scottish thing. I am Scottish. I don’t like to be called British. I do not consider myself to be British. I’m Scottish. Though I don’t have much time to watch TV shows anymore, I absolutely love Fringe. I never know where that show is going to go next. It’s brilliant. Walter Bishop has some of the best lines I’ve ever heard on television. I also very much love Scrubs and Cougar Town. As for video games, I am a huge fan of the Trauma series by Atlus. I have, however, only played Second Opinion and New Blood as those are the only two games that have been released over here. I have also watched Trauma Team walkthroughs on youtube. I think Trauma Team is the best one in storyline terms. You can find me over at tumblr. http://tell-her-this683 (dot) tumblr (dot) com/ Well, there are some irrelevant things about me that you didn’t ever need to know. If you read through that, you get a cookie. :) Before I go, I will leave you with one piece of advice: When prompting a three-year-old to say please, never ask ‘What’s the magic word?’ The little bugger will respond ‘Hocus Pocus.’ The only thing better than a cow is a human! Unless you need milk. Then you really need a cow. Walter Bishop, Fringe. |
