Author has written 6 stories for Final Fantasy VII, and Kingdom Hearts. To Those Without Pity Cruel of heart, lay down my song, Your reading eyes have done me wrong, Not for you was the pen bitten, And the mind wrung, and the song written. -Edna St. Vincent Millay I have an account on deviantart where I go by Lady-Aerin. If you want to check it out, go to my homepage. In case you hadn't noticed (looks at username), I rather like Robin McKinley's The Blue Sword. It's a good read, an adventure story whose main character is a girl and not all "Oh help, I am stuck in a tower. Someone save me." Check it out, it's worth it, honest. Right, so I'm an English major living in a small town. Pretty quiet on the whole, unless I am comfortable around whomever I happen to be talking to, and hope I'm friendly, and mostly cheerful. (And when I say small town I mean like "a Mako Reactor outside of Midgar usually means...nothing else out there" Crisis Core and we don't even have a Mako Reactor.) I am a downright VORACIOUS reader (emphasis intended) and writing is a compulsion (sort of like breathing) although inspiration comes more for original works than fanfiction. If and when I write some fanfics that I think are worthy of being read I will post them. (In fact I have some I like for FFVII and KH up now. Shameless. headdesk) I also like to play video games (sporadically) and am one of those people who thinks that Final Fantasy VII is the absolute all-time greatest game ever made. Ever. In fact Crisis Core was the first game I ever FINISHED (not the first I played, just the first I actually finished. And within the first year since its release. O.O) My tastes in music and anime are all over the place and I won't bore you with them. I will say that Speed Racer and G Gundam got me into the whole anime thing, Yu Yu Hakusho is one of my faves, and Ayame (Fruits Basket) makes me laugh so hard I can't breathe. Musical interests go from Classical to Rock 'n Roll with few exceptions. I don't like rap (with the exception of like three songs), oldies rock 's awesome 'cause it's happy (mostly), even the sad songs, and I'm a Country Girl so that genre is a given. I love "old" movies. My favorite actor is John Wayne and my favorite actress is Maureen O'Hara. The best comedies ever are Bringing Up Baby, Monkey Business, Philadelphia Story, and Arsenic and Old Lace. All of which I recomend. Also Some Like It Hot with Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, and Marilyn Monroe (who IS a good actress in her own right). Charleton Heston, Gregory Peck, James Mason, George Sanders, and Orson Wells have beautiful speaking voices. Nothing beats a good Humphrey Bogart/Lauren Bacall movie. I also like to listen to Ingrid Bergman and Maureen O'Hara (it's the accents, they're pretty). The list could go on for HOURS, so I'll stop here. I like to read other's works because they inspire me and cause me to grow as an author. I don't read yaoi/shonen-ai/shojo-ai, only het. Though I'm not overly big on Romance to begin with. Now that personal whatevers are over, some words to live and laugh by. This section subject to random updates whenever I feel like it. Best advice I ever got from an English teacher.: Read it out loud. (Meaning whatever you wrote. It works. I find more mistakes than you can shake a stick at that way.) "I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others and I require the same from them."- J. B. What the heck was that?! You don't make bombs go BOOM in yer face!" - Jin (XD) "Yu Yu Hakusho" "Help! I'm in a pickup truck full of psychic cannibals!" - Kuwabara "Yu Yu Hakusho" "There are three things I have learned never to discuss with people: Religion, Politics, and the Great Pumpkin." - Linus "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" "You can talk to the moon, but the sun won't listen." - Rerun "I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown" "Sometimes angels rush in where fools fear to tread." - Cary Grant "The Bishop's Wife" "Now it isn't that I don't like you, Susan, because, after all, in moments of quiet, I'm strangely drawn toward you, but--well, there haven't been any quiet moments." - Cary Grant "Bringing Up Baby" Wadsworth Professor Plum, you were once a professor of psychiatry specializing in helping paranoid and homicidal lunatics suffering from delusions of grandeur.
