Season One – Hurt, Missing Sam / Worried Big Brother Dean – Dean shifted where he sat; an uneasy feeling twisting his stomach as he read the words once more on the small screen of his phone and stared at the unfamiliar email address that had sent them. Because he only had one thing in his life that would fit the description of an Achilles heel...and the kid wasn't there right now.

Pre-Series Fluff – 4-year old Sam, 8-year old Dean, Awesome Bobby...and a dash of John – Bobby never doubted that John loved his kids, but the father was missing so much; so many precious moments that would never return. Like making pizza with a four-year old...

Season 8 – "Where's Sam?" Dean asked, feeling his heart hammer in his chest as adrenaline began to flood his system; his body preparing to fight while his mind buzzed with potential reasons for why a vampire he trusted and a demon he hated would be standing together in nonverbal solidarity.

AU tag to 8.01 – What he didn't know and what he didn't see was who stood in the shadows and watched him leave; who had somehow ended up in Purgatory...and then had somehow hitched a ride out.
