AUGUST 2018

I just spent the last hour or so going through every story I had posted on this site and deleting many of them, for various reasons. The main reason for the purge is because many stories were problematic, poorly written, immature, and/or not reflective of me as a person or a writer any longer. They were cringe-worthy at best, and absolutely terrible at worst. I could not stand leaving them posted for anyone to read. Trust me when I tell you that you are not missing out on anything by not being able to access these stories any longer.

The ones that I left posted were, while not the best, the ones that I either felt had the most promise or that I was the most proud or fond of. Some of them (such as "Armageddon") were the product of sheer perseverance and determination, and I felt were reflective of important milestones in my evolution as a writer. Many of the fics that were removed were written nearly a decade ago, when I was a fumbling, inept teenager who didn't know what she was doing. (As opposed to now, when I am a fumbling, inept 20-something who still does not know what she is doing...)

I hope that you all understand why I felt the need to take so many stories down, and can still find enjoyment from the ones that I left posted. And if not, well, I apologize. But I will not be revisiting any of these stories, and while I appreciate all of the input and advice I received on them, they were, frankly, awful. Many were written during a very bad time in my life, and it is a time I would rather not dwell on. I honestly feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders from this purge.

I also very seriously doubt I will be posting much on this site any longer, if at all. If you are still interested in reading anything I have written, you can check out my AO3, where I have several more stories posted and will continue to post in the future, as well my tumblr (though I rarely, if ever, even log in to my tumblr account so I wouldn't hold my breath for anything new there...).

At the moment I am wrestling a lot with myself and trying very hard to break out of a very bleak headspace, and this purge was a step in the right direction for me. Thank you, once again, to anyone and everyone who has followed me throughout the years, thank you for your feedback and support. I truly appreciate you all and hope that you can forgive me for the massive deletion without any notice.
