Author has written 1 story for Deus Ex, and RWBY. Here are some OCs that I created but have no use for. If you're interested or want me to create a different OC tell me. I'll probably add more for different things as time goes on. If two OCs are connected, you can seperate them if you want. The Wolf Among Us: Grey Heart: Name: Grey Heart (known as Greyson Heart in the Mundi world) Gender: Male Height: 5'8 Age: Unknown (appears 38) Hair Colour: It alternates between streaks of white and black but there is an equal amount of each. Hair Style: Combed back. Eye Colour: Hazel Skin Colour: Slightly pale. Clothing: He wears a black suit with a white shirt and a grey tie. When he expects a fight, he also wears a light armour vest over the shirt. Accessories: He can often be found smoking a pipe and always has at the very least a knife or some other sort of weapon on him. Fable Form: He is a twelve foot long black and white snake with silver eyes. Personality: Very manipulative. He has access to information others don’t and always uses it to advance his own goals. One of the ways he does this is by only giving people some of the information he knows. He is someone whose information can be trusted to be true, but not someone who can be trusted to tell everything. He also often only gives this partial information if he has something to gain from it. This can either be an agreement to do certain tasks or simple payment, both money and items. If someone refuses to a deal, he refuses to talk no matter how bad he is treated. Despite this, he is unusually polite and always addresses someone by their title (e.g. Ms. White, Mr. Wolf). As a snake, he also extends his s'. This changes if someone refuses to play his game or he is being played with. This has lead many to believe that this respect is just a way of hiding the deep hate he has for those who cast him out of Fabletown. It is also believed that this same hate is why he tries to be so manipulative and awkward to work with since he gets a sense of joy from watching them squirm. If someone tries playing his own game of refusing to tell him information then he will get very violent very quickly and likely resort to torture. This also carries over to when he is in a fight, using anything and everything to gain the advantage and acting without mercy. If he is in his fable form, he will often try to bit his opponant, he sometimes does this in human form too. His bite is vemonous if he wants it to be. Despite all his questionable methods, he claims that his own goals are to protect his people in times of peace and during times of unrest or chaos to resolve it as soon as possible. This is proven when, during times that Fabletown has nearly been revealed or fallen into severe unrest, he gives all the relevant information he has to the appropriate people for no gain. This suggests an underline goodness to him, although he denies been remotely close to a hero. His main priority is to protect Clear at all times and he refuses to cooperate with Mundi law enforcement at all. Standing in Fabletown: If there is an outcast of outcasts then Grey is it. His habit to play games with people has made him unpopular and he finds himself living beyond the Fabletown boarder, in the Mundi world. Although he isn’t trusted and sometimes even hated, if anyone needs information then he is the first they go to. This makes him more of a bearable nuisance then a menace, but everyone would rather have nothing to do with him. Some of the more powerful Fables are actualy grateful to him since he uses his Mundi contacts to keep Fabletown hidden. The only time he is seen in fable town is when he gets his glamours... or domething big happens. Fable: Little is known about Grey’s fable and all of it comes from him. Supposedly, there was a kingdom with a ruthless King who was so obsessed with protecting his power that his people began to suffer. This suffering caused someone who was trying to help the people to be approached by the King’s daughter to lead an uprising. The King's daughter was helped to find the man by a snake. The young man didn’t know how to do this, but found a mercenary who was also interested in making the rebellion a reality for reasons unknown. Grey Heart was that mercenary. This is also the first known use of a glamour. He slowly provided information and resources to the young man with the King’s daughter often been the carrier. The two eventually fell in love. The rebellion was launched when the King found his daughter, who had been helping the young man, and took her back to be looked up. Ignoring Grey Heart’s warnings about failure, the young man fought his way towards the King. After the battle the King was dead and the young man married the King’s daughter and became the new King. The fable ends there and is supposed to teach how it is better to treat people well rather then ruthlessly, but that wasn’t actually the end. During the chaos of the rebellion, Grey Heart led a few trusted men into the kingdom’s treasury and emptied it. He then took the treasure to a nearby kingdom that had wanted to invade since the King’s ruthless reign began. They couldn’t thanks to the King’s paranoia and focus on military so Grey Heart was hired to weaken the kingdom in any way. He handed the treasure, minus his substantial fee, to the other kingdom which attacked. With no funds for a defence, the young man was soon defeated. It is also suspected that it was Grey’s doing that put the young man and King’s daughter into contact in the first place, though he says it was his elder sister, White Heart. Exodus: During the Exodus, Grey Heart was often fighting the armies of Adversary who were driving the Fables back. It was during this time that he met a young girl without a tongue. The girl couldn't, or wouldn't, tell Grey her name or past. Grey tried to hand her over to Snow White, who at the time was about to leave into the Mundi world. The girl refused to leave him and he was eventually convinced by Snow to also leave. When in the Mundi world, he adopted the young girl and called her Clear Heart. Mundi: When in the Mundi world, Grey was immediately interested in interacting with the Mundies. All the other Fables were busy trying to find a way to keep themselves concealed. By the time they realized what he had done, Grey (now known as Greyson) had started a small gang. These Mundi servants made it impossible for the Fables to remove Grey without drawing attention to themselves. Now the alias Greyson Heart is publicly known as a major crime lord in the Mundi world. Despite his close ties to the Mundies, only his right-hand man Brian O’Conner knows of his true nature or the Fables existence. His symbol is a silver snake head bitting a silver heart. Family: Clear Heart (adopted daughter/ known as Claire Heart in the Mundi world) White Heart (Supposed elder sister. Nothing is known about her.) Black Heart (Supposed younger brother. Nothing is known about him.) Associates: Brian O’Conner (right-hand man/advisor) Clear Heart: Name: Clear Heart (known as Claire Heart in the Mundi world) Gender: Female Height: 4’3 Age: Unknown (appears 9) Hair Colour: Blonde Hair Style: Shoulder length, straight Eye Colour: Brown (normally golden without a Glamour) Skin Colour: Fair Clothing: She wears a white girls dress with white shoes. Accessories: She can often be found either playing with a toy bear or using a colouring book. Personality: Clear is very reluctant to trust the other Fables apart from Snow White. This means that her first instinct when she sees one is to hide. She is more likely to trust another Fable if they are with Snow White. Because she lost her tongue and can’t speak, she communicates either by drawing, writing or simple actions like pointing. She is usually friendly and cheerful if she can get past the trust barrier, but suddenly becomes frightened if someone tries to get some of Grey’s information and will do anything to try and stop them. She is also very quick to get upset if someone mentions the Homelands or how things use to be. She also has the unusual ability to be able to see danger in the near future of people that she cares about. If that happens, then she will try to warn them or prevent it from happening. Standing in Fabletown: Clear is seen as a victim in one of Grey’s games among the citizens of Fabletown. Most people looked for an opportunity to rescue her when Grey got on the communities bad side. All attempts failed and most people still see her as imprisoned. Their animosity for Grey does not show towards Clear, but her distrust and her attempts to avoid them have made them pity her. Fable: Nothing is known about her fable as she refuses to tell anyone. However, Grey believes it was during that time that she lost her tongue and believes that the story is better off forgotten. Exodus: During the Exodus, Clear was trying to run. Eventually she was caught and taken away by them. Soon after she was rescued by a man she would learn was called Grey Heart. After weeks of travelling, during which Grey cared for her, he tried to hand her over to a woman called Snow White. He said Snow would take her to a safe place. He was then going to turn and leave. During the time travelling with him, Clear had grown to see him as a father figure. She was able to foresee his death if he stayed to fight, so she held onto him refusing to let him leave. Despite this, it still took a long discussion with Snow White to convince him to leave. Mundi: When in the Mundi world, Clear continued to travel with Grey. She saw as he built up his criminal empire. She was protected by him but she sometimes had to stop him from acting too rash. When the other Fables turned on Grey, they tried to take Clear away from him. She was able to stay with Grey thanks to the Mundies under his command and since distrusts almost all Fables apart from Snow White. In order to hide her unusual eye colour, she has a minor glamour that the witches charge Grey extra for because of his standing in the community. Family: Grey Heart (adopted father) Associates: None Brian O'Conner: Name: Brian O’Conner Gender: Male Height: 6’8 Age: 54 Hair Colour: None Hair Style: Bald Eye Colour: Blue Skin Colour: Typical Irish tone. Clothing: He wears a suit and grey trench coat. He also wears a fedora and sunglasses. Accessories: He has a pocket watch that he often checks when waiting for meetings. Personality: A life of crime has made Brian a cold and ruthless individual who is very logical and systematic when dealing with threats. He simply doesn’t care who gets hurt as long as his own goals are completed. Although he first didn’t believe in the Fables, he has become fascinated with how ‘human’ they really are. He often points out similarities between the Mundies and the Fables and enjoys making the Fables feel uncomfortable this way. When going for a meeting he always arrives a few minutes early and doesn’t like it when others are late as he is very time conscious. He also has a very short temper and is easily provoked into a fight. Because he is a Mundi, he knows the way the Mundi world works better then Grey. This means his main goal is to keep track on potential leeks of the Fable community and report them directly to Grey. He takes this duty very seriously and does anything to encourage Mundies investigating in Fabletown matters to reconsider. He also operates directly in Fabletown when Grey can’t afford to be seen doing something or needs some extra muscle. He has a small group of high ranking gang members known for their discretion when dealing with these matters. He advises Grey on how to deal with matters in the Mundi world and always follows orders, even if it is against his advice. He is incredibly loyal and in return is given a lot of freedom in how he completes the tasks that Grey sets for him, as long as he doesn’t jeopardize the Fable community. Standing in Fabletown: Because he is a Mundi, most people in Fabletown try to avoid him. The fact that he knows of their existence has made him seen with suspicion since they fear the Mundies learning of their community. He is also hated by the Fables outside the Woodlands because he is the strong arm of Grey’s operations in Fabletown and is only seen when acting on behalf of him. Fable: None. Brian is a Mundi. Exodus: Brian was not involved in the Exodus. Mundi: Brian was born to Irish parents in New York. His parents died when he was eight and he was placed in an orphanage. However, the owner of the orphanage was cruel to the orphans so Brian ran away when he was twelve. Without anyone to care for him, he turned to a life of crime in order to survive. When he was fifteen, he successfully stole something belonging to Grey. He spent the next year on the run from Grey’s gang, which had been established as a major group for decades. When he was eventually caught, he was taken directly to Grey. Everyone thought Grey would give him a painful death, but he did the opposite. Brian was instead invited to join Grey and began a career in the criminal world. He slowly rose up the ranks and became Grey’s right-hand at the age of 47. It was then that he was told the true nature of Grey (who he hadn’t seen since first been recruited) and the existence of Fabletown. At first, Brian didn’t believe it. After he was shown proof he was fascinated at how much more human they really were then in the stories. Since then, he has been handling the Mundi side of Grey’s crime ring and doing the dirty work in the Fable side. He also keeps a watchful eye out for any hint that the other Mundies (even in the crime ring) are beginning to notice the existence of the Fables. Family: None Associates: Grey Heart (boss) The Iron Skeleton: Name: The Iron Skeleton (known as Ian Skelton in the Mundi world) Gender: Male Height: 5'6 Age: Unknown (appears 22) Hair Colour: Iron Grey Hair Style: Short and spiked Eye Colour: Dark blue Skin Colour: Ghostly Pale Clothing: A grey suit that has Grey Heart’s symbol on the left side of his chest. Accessories: Whatever happens to be a part of his latest prank. He is always planning one. Fable Form: A skeleton encased in an iron shell. He eye sockets are filled with dark blue orbs. Personality: Often described as a big child, Iron loves to play pranks on people. He is a very witty and loud individual that rarely takes anything seriously. However, he doesn’t really know when to stop and will take things too far if there isn’t anyone to restrain him. The only thing that outmatches his desire to pull jokes and be the centre of attention is the desire to protect his home and those he cares about. If he sees a clear threat, the smiling, witty person turns into a cold blooded killer. This can lead to problems since he doesn’t wait for permission to remove these threats and several “misunderstandings” have resulted in this reckless behaviour. Sometimes his pranks are lethal in their own right. The number of these, however, has greatly reduced over the years, physically beaten out of him by Grey Heart. Further evidence of him being a big kid comes whenever he is upset or angry. If upset, he will sit in the nearest corner and sulk. If angry, he will lash out at any random objects in range. His unwavering loyalty to Grey Heart has ensured he is protected from the worst consequences of his own actions, and in return he does everything he can to protect the group when needed. He is however, forced to apologize to any Fables that his jokes hurt, be it physically or emotionally. Standing in Fabletown: Iron is a mix of pitied and hated among Fabletown. He is pitied because most think he is used by the ever manipulative Grey Heart. However, this pity quickly vanishes when they are on the receiving end of his jokes. Most Fables become angry and are glad to see the back of him. When the Fable in question has calmed down, they go back to pitying him since their constant hate for Grey Heart outweighs their annoyance for Iron. Fable: Iron’s fable is one that highlights peoples ever shifting opinion of him. He was born the son of a witch but was accepted by the village because he kept bandits away despite his young age. However he died in an accident. His mother wasn’t able to let him go and used her magic to revive him. The spell was interrupted and he was only revived as a skeleton. On top of the physical changes, his attitude was altered as well. Iron now had a love for pranks and other practical jokes. Because this resulted in many deaths, he was slowly hated by the same people he protected. Eventually they had enough and imprisoned him in a solid lump of iron. His mother died trying to protect him. It was then that the bandits, hearing of Iron’s death, started attacking again. This slowly drained the town of everything. Using the last of there wealth, the village hired another witch to revive him again. This revival caused the iron to fuse with his bones and he had an iron coating. When the bandits attacked again, Iron showed another personality change. Instead of repelling the bandits like he normally did, he slaughtered them. With the danger passed, he went straight back to his jokes. The villagers once again grew annoyed at this and, with no bandits to fear, they cast him out. Exodus: During the Exodus, Iron worked along the border settlements, often placing traps and fighting when needed. Eventually he was severely wounded during a battle. He awoke in the Mundi world and was told that it was the villagers who had saved him. Mundi: When in the Mundi world, Iron started of by helping the other Fables conceal themselves. However, his tendencies to play pranks once again got him in trouble and he found himself as an outcast. It was then that Grey Heart, the supposed enemy of Fabletown, helped him. He found himself in Grey Heart’s employment and, as a Fable, now serves as part of the team that operates in Fabletown. He would have been in charge of it if it wasn’t for his childish tendencies. However, instead of been driven away when he makes a mistake, he is punished by Grey Heart and is slowly learning how to behave more professionally. For the best part, his childish ways remain. Family: None Associates: Grey Heart (Boss) Brian O’Conner (Direct Superior) Black Heart: Name: Black Heart (known as Blaec Heart in the Mundi world) Gender: Male Height: 5’4 Age: Unknown (appears 33) Hair Colour: Jet black. Hair Style: Short and spiked. Eye Colour: Red Skin Colour: Slightly pale. Clothing: He wears a black tank top with a black leather jacket and black leather trousers. He also wears black trainers and sometimes black gloves. Accessories: He has a broken snake fang on a necklace around him. It is his own fang and reminds him of the time he underestimated his elder siblings. Fable Form: An 11’6 long black snake with red eyes. His bite is venomous and he makes full use of it. Personality: Very sinister. He is the youngest of the Heart siblings. He inflicts pain for the sense of enjoyment it gives him. Even in a fight, he will take his time with his opponent in order to make them suffer more. There is nothing he enjoys more then getting other peoples skin and making them feel uncomfortable. He also prefers not to fight directly, instead attacking people that his opponent loves and ripping their world apart a piece at a time. He also acts through others instead of directly unless he is certain he can win. When doing this, he leaves enough of a trail for the right people to know it was him but not enough to track him down. He is ruthless and callous, showing no emption outside of enjoying watching other suffer. This is particularly true for his brother, who has stood in his way several times. While he hates his sister, he doesn’t see her as a threat for her tendency to find peaceful solutions. He also has no concept of loyalty and will betray anyone once he feels he has everything he can get from them. Because of his own lack of loyalty, he is a bit paranoid about being betrayed. This means that he doesn’t trust anyone and refuses to get attached. This means he has nothing to loose and often acts reckless and without caring about consequences. Standing in Fabletown: Black Heart is unknown to the other Fables and few believe that he actually exists. The few that do believe he exists believe that he died in the Homelands. The only ones who know otherwise are his brother and sister, who he often has conflicts with. A few of the witches may know him, but with the amount of glamours they give out it is unlikely they kept track. Fable: Black Heart is only mentioned in a footnote as the one who placed the King in Grey’s fable on the throne in the first place. Like Grey’s tale, the details are almost non-existent. Exodus: During the Exodus, Black Heart was double dealing. He would guide people to “safety” for a fee. He would then lead them to the Adversary and hand them over for another fee. Another thing he would do is tell the Adversary where it was best to attack, and then warn them before the attack came. Eventually, this was discovered by the Adversary and he had to flee. He snuck to the Mundi world unnoticed. Mundi: After arriving at the Mundi world, Black realized that his brother had become a major crime lord. Deciding to have some fun, he scouted out his holdings and told some local street thugs where to strike. The attack was successful and he has since become a good informer for several groups. Despite his brother knowing it was him, he has been able to avoid a direct confutation with Grey Heart, instead using the petty gangs as a proxy in his own shadow war with him. A war tat still continues and might escalate if either of the brothers decides so. Family: White Heart (Elder Sister) Grey Heart (Elder Brother) Associates: None White Heart: Name: White Heart (known as Whitney Heart in the Mundi world) Gender: Female Height: 6’0 Age: Unknown (appears 39) Hair Colour: Clear White Hair Style: Straight down to her lower back. Eye Colour: Brown Skin Colour: Fair Clothing: She wears a long elegant white dress and silver high heals. Accessories: She has a picture of her and her brothers together before internal conflicts tore them apart. Fable Form: A fourteen foot long white snake with golden eyes. Her bite contains paralyzing venom and she uses it to subdue opponents. Personality: Very caring. She is the oldest of the Heart siblings. She loves her brothers and it tears her apart that they are always fighting. She is arguably the strongest of the three and is always separating her brothers before they destroy everything in their way. She prefers to avoid violence and always looks for a peaceful solution to any problem. She saw how her brothers used two world wars as an excuse to fight each other openly and was ashamed by it. This makes her appear cold when talking directly to them. She is reluctant to ask for help because she feels they are her responsibility as the oldest sibling, but neither can she bring herself to kill them. If she is forced to fight, she prefers to subdue her opponents in any way and use non-lethal force. She is also greatly troubled whenever she is forced to kill someone. Despite killing before, she never got used to it and she still tries to avoid it at all costs. She prefers to do things according to law but isn’t afraid to move behind peoples backs when it comes to her brothers. She tries to help people whenever she can and often puts that ahead of completing her goals. When talking about her brothers in the past, she prefers to remember how close they all were and questions how they all wondered apart like they have. Standing in Fabletown: White Heart is unknown to the other Fables and few believe that she actually exists. The few that do believe she exists believe that she died in the Homelands. The only ones who know otherwise are her brothers, who she often has to stop their conflicts. A few of the witches may know her, but with the amount of glamours they give out it is unlikely they kept track. Fable: She is mentioned in a footnote of Grey’s tale as the one who guided the King’s daughter. Like Grey’s tale, the details are almost non-existent. Exodus: During the Exodus, she spent the time guiding people to the Mundi world. When they were able to escape, she was one of the first out and helped create Fabletown for the Fables safety. Mundi: After creating Fabletown, she left and lived an isolated but peaceful life for over a centaury. It was then that she realized that her brothers hadn’t changed and were still trying to tear each other apart. She now spends her time stopping conflicts and cleaning up the mess as a Mundi police officer investigating Grey’s crime ring. However, she is very carful not to reveal the true nature of the Fables or her brothers conflict. Family: Grey Heart (Younger Brother) Black Heart (Younger Brother) Associates: None OC Species: Staq: Basics: The Staq are a bird species that have four huge wings and four long legs. The front legs are positioned further up then the back legs so they are longer. The Staq have adapted to use these front legs as hands since gaining sentience. On the end of there feet are long, curved claws. They also have a wide elegant tail used for balance while in flight. There lifespan is 280 years. They have two narrow eyes which make them appear untrusting and suspicious. There eye colour varies from gold to a rusty brown, however there are some that have silver eyes. After further study, it is obvious that silver eyes are evidence of blindness. Apart from this, there eyesight is impressive. They have short pointed beaks and small, stumpy ears. They have good hearing, slightly better then Humans. Due to the nature of their homeworld, they mostly eat a diet of meat but can also live on plants if the appropriate meat isn't available. Staq skin is smooth and thin, as well as covered in large feathers. These feathers are dark colours (normally yellow, orange and purple) that become faded as they age. The feathers on the wings are more vibrant then those on the chest, so that attention is drawn away from vital organs. The male members of the Staq are generally bigger and stronger, standing at 6'5 on average. While the females are shorter standing at 6'1, they are much friendlier and more cunning then their male counterparts. The feathers of the females are more vibrant then the males. Society: Name: The Sabin Matriarchy The Sabin Matriarchy (with the capital of Sabin) was founded out of a period of violent war and turned the rules from who could kill each other to who could outthink each other. Using their cunning, they slowly absorbed all other nation politically instead of the failed force of the past. Since achieving unification, and no longer wasting resources against each other, Sabin has focused on scientific developments and has achieved much. However, the threat by the wildlife is something they take very seriously and safety is one of their primary concerns. The main strengths of Sabin are the military which also doubles as the police force (although they are untested against other sentient life) and the scientific developments that have enabled the Staq to reach their full lifespan of roughly 280 years. However, due to the lack of natural resources, they have a very small industry and scientific development is slow to implement. The colony of Zeen-La has however provided more resources allowing production to be sped up and industry increased. If the current rate continues, Industry will be reasonable for the size in 80 years. A council led by the Grand Matriarch rules Sabin. When the Grand Matriarch dies, a vote is passed among the other council members to choose a replacement. Councillors are elected by the common Staq and each one controls a specific role. Examples of ranks are the Matriarch of Economics and the Matriarch of Education. However, there is one Patriarch among the council, the Patriarch of Defence. A male is chosen to fill this role because they are better suited to war both physically and mentally. It is theoretically possible for the Patriarch of Defence to win the vote and become the Grand Patriarch, however such a thing hasn't happened and isn't likely to since it was male leadership that shattered the last unification. If the Grand Matriarch ever proves to be harming the Staq, the council can name her a public enemy and remove them from power. If this happens, the council must resign afterwards and a new one voted in. Because of the chaos this causes, it has only happened twice in the past. The people of Sabin are happy with this system and there is no opposition to it. Religion has lost most of its importance over recent years, however many of the old traditions related to it are still practiced. Most Staq prefer to rely on their technology and personal experience. Technologically, Sabin is more or less on par with 21st century Humans. However the environment has made them more focused on space flight and green energies as opposed to warfare. They also haven't achieved any sort of atmospheric flight (outside of researching space flight in the early research) since they can fly themselves. Homeworld: Name: Staq-La Diameter: 21.6 times Earth Gravity: 1.7 times Earth Day Length: 39.5 hours Year Length: 481 days Moons: 3 Staq-Li is a large desert planet covered in sand, snow and the occasional dirt desert. There are few oasis of bushes, shrubs and grass plant life but no trees. Most of these are located along the costal regions near the water. There are also mountain ranges and other rocky areas inland. The land portion covers 61% of the surface and is divided into 9 continents, all separate from each other. Because of the lack of nutrients in the ground, most of the land based plant life has adapted in various ways. The most common adaption is that plant life has bonded with another, essentially becoming one plant. This adaptation has caused a radical change in the types of plants and gives the oasis a wide variety of colours. The next most common adaptation is that plants have become carnivorous, feeding on the smaller wildlife. However they are known to team up and tackle larger animals, often a dozen feeding on one large animal. This makes the oasis more of a hazard then a sanctuary in the vast deserts. The third adaptation is similar to the second, but the plants attack other plants instead of animals. This violent attitude to steal nutrients often saves the species in question, but at the cost of another. However, these plants are harmless to animal life. The fourth variation is the least common and is divided into too sub categories. The first category is to effectively reproduce the same way as a cell, dividing when large enough. If there are no nutrients under the plants, then the younger one would feed of the older one, effectively moving the entire plant as a whole further along and giving the ground a chance to regain nutrients. The other variation is that the plant grows a storage sack for nutrients and feeds of that when none can be found in the ground. This variation has proven less effective then the others and all plants that use it are almost extinct. The sea plant life is far more aggressive and almost all variations are carnivorous. This makes journeying in shallow waters hazardous for even the largest sea creatures, as they team up in a similar way to their land brethren. This also makes survival hard for the smaller sea life that is always at risk. In deep waters, they are at risk from larger creatures. In shallow waters, they are at risk from the plant life dragging them down. As such, sea creatures tend to be larger then their land counterparts. Land creatures are naturally violent and attack any other species of animal on sight. Because of this they have all evolved to be appropriately armed with claws and teeth. The most dominant creatures also have wings. Because of their reliance on speed rather then strength, land creatures are smaller then their sea counterparts. First Colony (Only Colony to Date): Name: Zeen-La Diameter: 18.5 times Earth Gravity: 4.8 times Earth Day Length: 25 hours Year Length: 357 days Moons: 4 Zeen-La is a largely oceanic planet with 5 continents covering 17% of the surface. Most of the surface is too rough for any form of plant life so any form of life has failed to evolve. Under the sea is a mass of volcanoes that have made it impossible for sea life to develop. Too make matters worse, the surface is covered in severe lightning storms and earthquakes are common. These factors combined have made it very hard for the Staq to colonize the planet. But beneath the surface lies a large abundance of all types of resources making the planet a gold mine, both literally and metaphorically. The challenges presented by the planet are simply seen as a bigger fight by the Staq for a bigger reward. That has made the colony very profitable for them. However, the land based colony has only scratched the surface as scans show even richer deposits hiding among the volcanic oceans. Mining was only able to mine successfully for the past 12 years as the much higher gravity caused problems for the Staq. History: When the Staq first gained sentience, it was a period of cooperation and exploration that eventually lead to unification of their species. However, disagreements between the male leadership quickly severed this peace and several hundred nations were formed. All these nations fought each other over the planets resources for over 2000 years. It was then that a woman by the name of Uris Fonera overthrew the male leadership and founded the Sabin Matriarchy. Over the next 4500 years, Sabin negotiated with the other nations and slowly reunited the powers into one large power. Total unification was achieved 200 years ago and since then scientific study has bloomed. The Staq were able to create their first colony on Zeen-La 15 years ago, and it has already made up for the cost. Religion: The Staq religion has one God or Goddess for each of the planets in their system (minus the home world) and one for the sun. Some of these Gods are dualities that represent the polar opposites. This is to show that you can't have one without the other, the good without the bad, and is a fundamental part to Staq thinking as a society. Because each God lives on a planet or sun, this guide will start with the sun and work outwards. At is the Queen of the Gods and lives on the sun, At-La (the home of At). At is a very practical Goddess and knows the best role for all the other Gods. She maintains the balance of all things in general, while the lesser Gods maintain an individual aspect. Yohr is the God of life and death, and lives on the planet closest to the sun, Yohr-La (the home of Yohr). He is a God that deals in the judgement of the dead. If their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, they will be sent to live with At. If their bad deeds outweigh the good, they will be sent to Zar at the systems edge to fight the void until their time is served, and the spirit balanced. Ulp is the Goddess of light and dark, and lives on the second planet, Ulp-La (the home of Ulp). She is an all knowing, mysterious and manipulating Goddess. She works from the shadows to remove threats to the Staq people and often organises public action as a distraction for her real plans. Zeen is the Goddess of provisions and lives on the third planet, Zeen-La (the home of Zeen). Her planet is the closest planet to Staq-La. She is also the younger sister of Zar. Because of the importance to At of protecting the Staq, Zeen and Zar both share the duality of protecting from internal and external threats respectively. She is very passionate and caring but is also very emotional. This emotion sometimes causes her to overextend herself, resulting in droughts and famine in some regions of Staq-La. Urut is the God of war and peace, and lives on the fifth planet, Urut-La (the home of Urut). He is very ruthless and hasty. He serves as an early warning system for the Staq people. If the void is beginning to push Zar to his limits, Urut will cause several wars on Staq-La to prepare the people for a fight. However, this has always proven wasteful since Zar has managed to regain control every single time. Some of Urut's worshipers claim this is because of the evil dead that were sent to Zar reinforced him. In other words, Urut should be praised for protection as much as Zar. Zar is the God of protection and lives on the last planet, Zar-La (the home of Zar). He is an incredibly fierce fighter and is tasked to fight the void and protect the Staq from its darkness. He is the second most powerful God behind At and fought At for leadership before been assigned to fight the void. He is a very restless but intelligent God. The army he uses to fight the void is composed of the evil dead spirits that are sent t him by Yohr. He decides when the spirit has made up for their crimes and can leave to join At. Military: Staq military is mostly about speed and flexibility, making full advantage of there flight ability to take cover in hard to reach places. Their armour is light and around the torso so that their ability to fly isn't hindered. They can also have small arms mounted on their backs to shoot over cover where their front legs can't reach effectively. It is possible for them to have small compartments on their back that can be stored with bombs for bombing runs, however all the weight drastically slows them down, making such actions suicidal if not protected properly. Staq prefer to never stay in one place long so that they can attack from multiple sides and keep the enemy of balance. Commanders prefer to use units alongside each other in hit and run tactics to make the enemy react to them. It is normally the commander that wins this fast pace manoeuvring that wins the battle. Defensive forces also have large rapid-fire emplacements that are designed to cover large areas and pin the enemy down, denying them their mobility. |
