Current Projects

Having the 's' is a bit of a misnomer as I'm quite bad at multitasking when it comes to writing so I usually go one at a time. I'm also quite bad at finishing what I start due to anxiety about it being bad. Nevertheless, I will strive to make what I do write as good as possible! Anywhoodle, I am not one to prattle on about such things and will get to the point of this section!

Press Start To Continue: This one is an interesting one for me. This was inspired by the now permanently hiatused New Game Plus by Duncanidaho in the terms of the general idea behind it. Straw Hats go back in time and get another crack at the whole adventure with some changes to the crew, namely, a bigger crew with a few familiar faces. Beyond that, I like to think that our two versions of this story will end up very differently based upon my own taste towards storytelling. Will it be a bit of a curb stomp for the SHs for a while? Most definitely, but that means that I can put them in straining events of a less physical variety. They are the stones thrown into the pound and already they've made ripples.

Marbles: Named for the marbles in Men In Black, I wanted to take a look at a world where things ended up a little different, not through any action of the characters, but simply through being a different timeline compared to the canon one. It starts a little rough and I lost drive for it for a little while but reading This Bites! by Cross-Brain has certainly lit a fire in me. It showed me that I had something with potential and I thank the writers of it for inspiring me once more.

Warpath: Yet another One Piece fic. I have a wee bit of an obsession. This one is a purely OC fic with only mentions of the canon characters as it takes place a century after the 'canon ending' of One Piece. Luffy became Pirate King and, like all men must do, he died. The death of the 2nd Pirate King was thought to be the end of the Age of Piracy, but the Marines were wrong as always. With the throne empty once more, hundreds rushed to sea to claim it. This story isn't about that. This is a story about revenge, about anger, about hatred, and about family. I've done this story three times already and it never quite went how I liked, but now I feel I can do it proper justice as to what is in my mind.

Gamer Blues was never meant to be anything really. It was, as I said at some point in the afternotes, an idea I had in the shower and then wrote down and published on a whim. It is now the most read and reviewed story I have and I don't know what to do. I continued it for so long because people seemed to like it, but I really have nothing for it. No direction to go in and no drive to even come up with one. I never really liked what I wrote in it and it boggles my mind that people did.
