Beca has an epiphany during a trip with the bellas.

A young girl passes by a dust shop, an heiress doesn't rebel, and a rebel keeps fighting. Team RWBY of Beacon never comes to be. Instead it is formed by four fully capable and trained huntresses. But these are no carefree schoolgirls, and each brings with them their own fair share of life's burdens. Eventual White Rose and Bumbleby, but ships will not be the main focus.

For Chloe Beale, Beca Mitchell was always the girl that got away. After the Semi-Finals fiasco, Beca stormed away from the Concert Hall, away from Barden University, and away from Chloe. Five years pass and Chloe still can't let the brunette DJ go. But when the Bellas are meeting up for a reunion in Hawaii and get stranded in Los Angeles, will they run into an old acquaintance?

Beca, 24, has been in the army for six years now. She enlisted right after her mother's death and has been pretty lonely since then. Chloe, 26, is an elementary school teacher and her life hasn't been going well lately. When she starts a 'Write a Soldier' project in one of her classes, her kids convince her to take part in it herself. AU

"Come here, pookie," Chloe says, grin bigger than ever as she puts on her baby voice. She moves over to the sofa and rests her chin on Beca's shoulder, nestling it in her neck. There are a lot of traditions to be upheld within the Bella household, Beca learns. And not just at Christmas time.

It's a foolproof plan: Impersonate her bother, infiltrate Barden Prep's a cappella team, and kick some aca-butt. Beca just didn't expect to end up playing matchmaker in exchange for it. OR the She's the Man HSAU where Beca is Viola, Jesse is Sebastian, Luke is Duke, Chloe is Olivia, a cappella is soccer, and somehow this became 17.7k words.
