Ermm...hi!

My name's Ruth, but you can call me weird and delusional. Or Vampy. Or Ayu. Whatever.

I'm eighteen years old, English and in my first year of art school, which doesn't leave me a hell of a lot of time for fandom, and I'm more likely to spendmy fandom time drawing or RPing, but hey, I can always try. I like...things. Lots of things. All the things.

Things like...

The Dresden Files, Good Omens, Discworld, Sandman, X-Men, Iron Man, Young Avengers, Runaways, Harry Potter, Vampire Game, Full Metal Alchemist, Eyeshield 21, NANA, D.Gray-man, The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, Blood, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Axis Powers Hetalia, Realm of the Elderlings...I'd go on, but I'm getting bored.

There are a lot of things I'd rather not read, like RPS, Mpreg, incest (especially twincest, excluding HikaruxKaoru) and so on, but if you like them, go ahead. I won't be writing them, but if they're very well done, I may still fave them. Because a good writer can make anything good. I know someone on LiveJournal who made RemusxHermionexSnape sexy. It's all about how you write.

However, there are a couple of things I absolutely CANNOT STAND.

-Character bashing

-Plagiarism

-Bigotry

Fanfic is a way of self-expression and enjoying yourself. How about a little deal? I won't flame your pairings, you don't flame mine, ok? (which isn't to say I would anyway, but still...)

I'm NOT a grammar nazi, but there is a lot more chance I will go on reading your story if it isn't so much work to understand what you mean by "i luv your stile ichigo saiz 2 ruki w/ a smile it r well goffik" or "deth wake up n sai 2 dreme "i think im gai"', which to me sounds like it was written by a dyslexic monkey...

And just so you know, I am not only extremely insecure about the quality of my fics, but I am also neurotic that you're only giving me nice reviews because you're lovely people, not because my story's actually any good. Regarding Moon And Stars

My apologies to everyone who enjoyed my Puppyfic Moon And Stars, but it's highly unlikely it's ever going to be updated. The way I wrote back then and the amount of pathetic plot-points and poor characterisations in the fic make it really difficult for me to even read it, let alone work on it, without losing up to half of my fragile self-esteem. Thanks to everyone who commented, faved and subscribed to it over the time it was running, and I'm so glad you enjoyed my work!

Let's Talk About Some Fics I Actually Like, Ok?

Harry Potter

Die Letzte Tag: (SiriusxRemusxTonks) As I said in the A/N, this was titled on a Tokio Hotel high. So, I think of it as really being The Last Battle, but, you know, that title's kinda taken (Damn you, CS Lewis, stealing titles for crappy fanfic sixty years before I write it! Damn yoooou!). Title aside, I do like this one. I think it's the only time I've written a decent TonksxLupin, and that's a shame because I do like that pairing. I've started a few, a couple of AUs and oneshots, but none of them got far. I can't even draw them. Dunno why. Tonks is like my favourite character ever.

The Morning After The Years Before: (RemusxSirius) First fic I ever wrote for a community and I got several really great comments on it :) This one was fueled on a mixture of supernatural TV shows and Neil Gaiman short stories. Manna for the creative mind, I tells yer! Manna! Plus I always wonder about their reunion. That one was going to end with Sirius actually turning up, but I liked that ending a lot. It's open and I don't have to write dialogue! -:is lazy:-

Under The Shadow Of The Dog Star: (RemusxSirius)I do enjoy thinking about how Remus would feel after Sirius died. It's such a rich emotional vein. For the post-Hogwarts team on the RemusxSirius Games, I had the prompt 'we are all lying in the gutter, but some of us are staring at the stars'. And, well, with the challenge deadline fast approaching and no ideas, I started with the idea of 'staring at the stars', crossed it with Sirius and got the Dog Star. And it practically wrote itself once I had the title, it really did. I think it's one of my best :3

Bleach

Love Is...: (InouexIshida) Sometimes I just get ideas growing in the back of my head. This wasn't going to be IshiHime to start with, but then I realised just how Orihime it was getting, so I took it from there. I think it's pretty cute (though I do say so myself), even if it's dead short.

Discworld

Cutting Away The Pain: (Death) LAAAAWL. DAMN YOU LIVEJOURNAL! DAMN YOU FOR MAKING ME DO THIS! Albert voice a bit weak, but I like the OC from the first half XD. I may use our friend Bobby Sniles as a cameo elsewhere, but I don't think he'll work half as well.

Unfortunately Illogical: OCs are my crack. I have a head full of them. Some of them manifest through RP and short stories, but most of them just hang out in there, trashing the furniture. The idea for Erich came about, I think, when I was talking to my sister about her Discworld RP (I wish I could find a Discworld RP) and her uber-powerful wizard Thomas (if he isn't familiar yet, he soon will be). So this story is thanks to her, not just for giving me the idea, but also for lending me her OC to butcher. I've never put an entirely OC-driven fic up here before, so I'm constantly nervous about its reception and the potential for sueishness x.x

Coming Soon To An Near You

Well, there's a bunch of stories hanging around on my hard drive and in my head haven't been finished or are still waiting to be written.

As far as Harry Potter goes, I'm working on a songfic based on the song The First Five Times, because that song is so exquisitely SiriusxRemus it hurts. And there's a few paragraphs waiting to be continued about Remus seeing Sirius for the first time after Azkaban. Also I've got a couple of finished fics that just need a bit of tweaking, but I'm procrastinating forever; one about Regulus and Sirius and one very short oneshot about a letter set after OoTP. Aside from RxS (!) I've got a PansyxHermione in the works.

Discworld calls for crossovers, and I'm tapping into that at the moment; The Dresden Files and Hellblazer are both possibilities, as is The Once and Future King /nerd. I'm also looking at doing some Drumknott-centric stuff and maybe a bit of Vimes.

I'm thinking about some RodneyxRadek fic, and on the note of a-bit-more-than-friends, I have a couple of ideas for Good Omens fics (AC, of course, and maybe some PepperxAdam future!fic). And since I'm so active in Hetalia terms, it's probably only a matter of time before I get ficcing there too.

I've got some D.Gray-Man and Monster stuff hanging around in My Documents, too, and sometime I might come back to my Mulan yuri fic. But those are long-term projects, so they probably won't even see editing until next eternity.
