Author has written 4 stories for Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Mysteries, and Twilight. Updated 2/11/2014: Wow, it's been a long time! It was more than three years ago that I promised I was working on the next chapter. I get PMs occasionally from people who want me to finish the story, and I want you to know I get those messages. I think about this story and think about finishing it (I also think of doing a piece of original fiction based on Magda, the psychic I created for "Bitter Fruit"). But I don't have the time right now. I'm in the midst of preparing to publish a nonfiction book (I'm a journalist IRL), and working like crazy to maintain my regular work. I just don't have the time right now, but that doesn't mean I don't love Sookie and Eric, and that I don't want to see the story completed. I had originally planned to do far more than I know I'm capable of now. If I do complete it, it might be one more chapter and an epilogue. We shall see. Thank you for reading and liking the story and asking me to complete it. I'm sorry to disappoint you. Updated 9/15/10: Just so you know, I have *not* abandoned Healing Blooed! I wrote an entry for Age of Eric, I started dating and I started a new job. I've been... distracted. But I'm starting to write the second half of Eric and Sookie's date now and I promise I'll be updating as soon as I can. Also, I'm thrilled to say that Bitter Fruit, my Age of Eric story, got a Judge's Mention and a banner. It's my very first banner and I'm so thrilled! Bitter Fruit is set in 1490 Spain, and it's definitely HB Eric. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it. And if you haven't read the other stories submitted for Age of Eric, I highly recommend those too. My favorites were Sleepless Nights by SibylVaneVamp, Restoration by FarDareisMai2, Eyes to See by my very favorite beta moxie mo and All the Girls Love a Sailor by Northman Maille. Enjoy! And now back to your regular programming: I'm a 39-year-old pop culture fanatic. Many years ago now, when I was going through the painful breakup of a six-year relationship, I became obsessed with Twilight and then the Sookie Stackhouse books and began writing fan fiction. I wrote a one-shot on Bella and Edward's first time (now available below), and am trying my hand at my first multi-chapter fan fiction. I'd love suggestions and directions from veteran fan fic writers and have immensely enjoyed reading other fics! I used to be a literary snob, but now I'm coming back to my roots. I always did love those Sweet Valley High books when I was a kid, and I guess I never lost my pleasure in intrigue and romance. I'm not opposed to tension in stories, since that's what makes stories great. But I also firmly believe that in order to love a story, you have to be able to root for someone--and I totally root for Sookie. I'm definitely of the 90210 "I choose me"-era Kelly Taylor school of thought. I want what's best for her. But I'm also totally Team Eric after reading the books. How could you not be? Hello, tall, blond and dead! "Healing Blood" literally woke me from sleep, writing itself in my head as I was waking up. As I write, I keep hearing this song from Swell Season, "In These Arms." It seems like a good encapsulation of where I'm going with this story so please check out the song if you're interested. |
