Author has written 27 stories for Bones, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and Phantom of the Opera. Hello! Thanks for dropping by. I'm pretty sure you want to know all there is to know about me, but this is the Internet, and it's certainly not safe to just throw everything and your mother's uncle out there into the ether. However, I can tell you all about my fandom journey. After all, that's why we're here, right? I started with The X-Files as a twelve-year-old, and followed most of Season 2 (caught up with Season 1 through reruns) up until David Duchovny decided to leave after his contract with the show expired. During that time, I was also getting into Buffy: The Vampire Slayer (Season 1 up until after Glory; after that, I just watched intermittently), Farscape, Firefly, and then grew up. That meant no more TV watching for me - school and life and everything else got in the way. Then I discovered Bones and sunk back into my fangirl roots. Last year, I sank into this massive black hole known as Doctor Who, and I've never climbed out since. My Doctor's Christopher Eccleston, and I am decidedly a Doctor/Rose shipper. I like Amy and Rory, don't get me wrong, but I'm glad that we're finally getting a new companion. Also, I found myself in the Phantom of the Opera fandom all of a sudden, even though I have always been a musical theatre fan, this is the first time I am actually writing fanfic based on one. I also love reading, which explains why I have a Masters in Literary Studies. (Rule of thumb: study what you love.) I specialize in high fantasy and urban fantasy, as well as YA lit. I love Harry Potter, as well as Lord of the Rings, and have gone through Ursula K. LeGuin, Michael Moorcock, Guy Gavriel Kay, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, much of Jacqueline Carey, and so on and so forth. I also love contemporary American poetry, especially Billy Collins and Louise Gluck. If you want to find me elsewhere on the Internet, come on down: I also have an account on Teaspoon, if you're so inclined. I appreciate your comments and constructive criticisms, especially when it comes to misspellings and grammar errors. I usually don't have a beta, so all comments are extremely appreciated. :) Thanks for visiting! |
