Yep, I'm back.

I'm writing a new story, can you believe it? I started out with the idea of simply getting Nadir and Giry to collaborate their efforts to try to pick poor Erik up, dust him off, and get him on his feet again after the whole tragedy... and then it sort of spiraled into this whole overarching theme of how different people "meddling" -- whether purposely or inadvertently -- can alter the outcome of our lives. What might that mean for Erik and Christine? Well, stay tuned and find out!

My sincere apologies to anyone who has been patiently waiting for me to pick up Benediction again. For the time being, it is on indefinite hiatus. If you know anything about me, though, you know that I can put a fic on the back burner for literally years, and come back to it later full of gusto. Only time will tell with this one.

As for the truly overwhelming response to Evergreen... I just... I literally have no words. I wrote the vast majority of that story when I was in high school, and to see that it still resonates with people today just absolutely boggles my mind. I personally can't reread it, haha -- too self critical. But a cursory glance at the stats page left my jaw on the floor. Over 500,000 views, ~1900 reviews, and the second-most favorited story in the entire section? What even??? Thank you very much indeed. Humbled and undeserving, over here.

This fandom is seriously the best. You'll never find such a creative, intelligent, articulate, appreciative, or responsive group as this. I feel blessed to have "grown up" as a writer with you as my tribe.
