Hi everyone, and welcome! If you are an old subscriber or new to my profile, here is some news! I have been on hiatus for a VERY many years, only posting an occasional one-shot, but now I am officially coming out of retirement! I can't promise I'll update as often as I used to now that I've got my PhD and am aiming for a job as a college professor in biology, but I will try to be fairly consistent!

A little about me: I'm a 32 year old female currently living in Michigan. I love animals and am a scientist by profession, specializing in entomology (the study of insects). Although I am a scientist I am really a middle-brained person and need both logic AND creative pursuits in my daily life, so I love writing stories and drawing and doing other creative things as well!

I'm a super nerd and I love reading, video games, anime, manga, and the like, as well as Western cartoons and sitcoms. My favorite book genres are mystery along with some lighter fantasy, sci-fi, and the occasional romance. I've written many original stories as well as fanfiction. I enjoy writing and hope to have some of my original stories published someday. Please read & review my stories! I love to hear what people think! You will notice that one of my primary fanfictions is "The Serpent's Kiss", a Severus Snape/OC story in the Harry Potter universe. There is also a co-story set in the same "universe" as mine which is written by my friend, CommanderValeria on this site, and it would be great if you checked her story out too if you're interested. It's called "Don't Leave Me" and is a Sirius Black/OC story. The new sequel to "Don't Leave Me" is "Carry On", also on CommanderValeria's site, and we both have a lot of other supplementary stories set in the same universe as well, both focusing on our original OCs and secondary characters. I am currently working on "Scoundrel or Saint?", a sort of "sequel" to "The Serpents' Kiss". I highly recommend checking out our stories set in that universe, if you'd like. You may start with the first stories or dive in elsewhere, just know that there will be major spoilers if you do. My avatar features an original drawing of mine of Severus Snape and my OC Dinah Samson from those stories, as teenagers (they are transformed into teenagers at a certain point in "The Serpents' Kiss").

Also from Harry Potter, there are a few tales featuring Severus paired with a female, human Fawkes, and... wait for it... a Potter-Pokemon crossover! Please check those out too!

Another highlight, or at least hopefully they will be soon, are my two Macross Frontier fics. It's sort of a two-part tale, one focused on Mao Nome (Mao/OC), one of the heroines of Macross Zero and Sheryl Nome's grandmother from Macross Frontier, and the other focused on Sheryl - I'm an Alto/Sheryl fan big-time. I like Ranka, but she and Alto seem more like a brother and sister to me than anything. I'm a HUGE Sheryl fan... I think she's one of the strongest female characters I've ever seen in an anime, and want to explore her further. My updates to these have been rather slow, but I hope to continue with them soon.

My older fanfictions include some Hannibal Lecter ones, humorous ones that are movie-based and not to be taken seriously. Just read them for a laugh! I still like them even though I wrote them ages ago :) - as well as a one-shot sad one that I think is okay but could probably have been fleshed out a bit more. Ah well! We grow and learn and our writing evolves; that's the way it should be, right? :) I also have a Sailor Moon fic that I intend to keep updating, although slowly.

I'm hoping to update my Series of Unfortunate Events story (a Lemony Snicket/OC story) on this site soon, as well as add some new fanfiction. I have recently been very into Revolutionary Girl Utena and My Little Pony. Interesting combination, I know ;) - I'm definitely a fan of many different things, so my fics show a very broad range. Anyway, hopefully there's something for a lot of people on here and everyone enjoys my fics!
