![]() Author has written 11 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh, Stargate: SG-1, Supernatural, Pretender, Psych, Star Trek: 2009, Fantastic 4, Glee, and MacGyver. Hmmm, I feel like this space should say something more than a smattering of shows and books I like. So, here is to my brand new profile which no one will read anyway. I am terrible at reviewing stories I read, mainly because I want to say something more than 'I really liked this' and never remember to sign in when I'm surfing the site. When I do review, rare though it is I try to give at least one constructive criticism as well as point out the parts of the story that I particularly liked. I have a few unfinished stories on this site, but, they are not abandoned. I just need to find some way of spurring the muse into action. I will complete everything here, even if it takes me years to do so. I will apologize for the wait to anyone who is actually waiting for them. Not that I really think anyone is. If someone is then by all means pm me and pester me. I am a writer that prefers to focus on character and plot in a story and really don't care about romance. That is not to say that I don't read stories with romance, I just don't want romance to be the focus. The one thing I find absolutely frustrating is how many people insist on shipping characters just to ship them. Basically my thoughts on relationships is this 1-if it is in the show/book/movie then it is canon and can be used and shown in the story 2-if it isn't then the pairing should be something that would make sense in terms of the world that is given in the show/book/movie 3-if neither of the first two points are valid then there is no relationship and writing about it is pointless and distracting. Anyhoo, that is just me and it bothers me how many times I've had to give up on a story that I thought was good because it turned into so and so stared longingly at such and such. So, yeah, romance and I don't get along. I have come to the decision that I needed to remove my Hercules story. I have been very disappointed in myself because it has been incomplete for nearly a decade. This was my first story and I hadn't realized that I was so far from finishing when I first started posting. I have been working on it, editing and so forth, and will eventually finish it. When I do I will re-post. In the meantime I will finish my one remaining work in progress and only post either one-shots or complete multi-part stories. There, I think this works a little better than what I had before, so now a quote I found on a juice bottle before I go. -You don't need a parachute to sky dive. You need one to skydive twice.- This is Melvin Skoodittle signing off. Where's my Pineapple?? |
