Author has written 33 stories for Legend of Zelda, Voltron: Legendary Defender, and Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. "Fanfiction is what literature might look like if it were reinvented from scratch after a nuclear apocalypse by a band of brilliant pop-culture junkies trapped in a sealed bunker. They don't do it for money. That's not what it's about. The writers write it and put it up online just for the satisfaction. They're fans, but they're not silent, couch-bound consumers of media. The culture talks to them, and they talk back to the culture in its own language." —Lev Grossman, TIME, July 18, 2011 Hi. I don't know what I'm doing, but if you're here, it's (presumably) because I write fanfiction. I wrote a bunch in high school, and I thought I would stop when I went to college, and I basically did. Then Breath of the Wild was released, and I had ideas I had to spill. Then I started watching Voltron: Legendary Defender, and in between seasons I am so desperate for content that I literally made some up. I'm a big nerd, and love things like backstory and unnecessary medical detail. I love the medical stuff because I'm a newly minted nurse. Maybe one day I will crank out a couple hospital AUs. That is my dream. And I have an original novel sitting on my desktop that I work on every third night at 12am like clockwork, despite the fact I never plan to. There, that's the important stuff about me. Part nurse, part nerd, all writer. I hope you like what find here! It's the positive reviews that keep me posting, and the critiques that make me better. Oh, and you probably don't care, but I do, so here goes: my profile pic is an inside joke with a friend from 2008. It's a ninja doll with a yellow wig on, made on Microsoft Paint by a friend 10 years ago. I don't plan on changing it, for no particular reason other than I can't be bothered. Also, nostalgia. My username comes from who I thought I was in high school, and I'm not creative enough to change it, and I kind of like the idea of the people I PM-ed 7 years ago being able to find me. Peace, Running Ninja My old profile from highschool, for antiquity's sake: Hello! I'm someone who spent her teenage years on this site writing imaginary backstory for the characters of Legend of Zelda. I'm not on this site much anymore, and no longer write fanfiction. I do still read your reviews though, and I love them!!! You should know that it's extremely unlikely that I will ever finish the stories I have up that aren't finished. I'm in nursing school now. I put the last of my things up because I figured you guys would like to read them, even if they aren't perfect or completed. Thanks to this site though, I have grown as a writer. Because of the sheer amount of words I put out while I was most active on this site, I've taught myself a lot, but I think it's time for me to move on. I loved it, but its not where my heart is any more--I have found a love for taking care of people and being a nurse that I knew nothing of back when I thought I was going to grow up to write novels and study English. It's an incredible life I have found, caring for the young, the old, the dying, and the sick, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Thanks for everything, and I wish you the best. Also, take a poem by me for the road. Blessing for the Hero May no re-deads rise up to meet you, -a Zelda-version of a traditional Irish Blessing, "May the Road Rise Up to Meet You" |
