Post-Prime. Ratchet thought he'd be in for a nice peaceful retirement of sorts, remaining behind on Earth while the other Autobots returned to Cybertron to rebuild. He managed a grand total of five years before leadership dramas, Aerialbots, and that Spec Ops team came along and ruined it. Not to mention the damn bugs...
