Kíli feels the cold more than others. When they were little, Fíli would hold Kíli in his sleep to warm him up. Now older, Kíli has grown fond of his brother yet doesn't want to let his feelings take hold and ruin their relationship While traveling with Thorin and his company, a cold night hits and Fíli notices that Kíli isn't coping well. Two people have only ever fought since they met but they have the same group a friends. What happens when one of them look deeper inside themselves? Bilbo and the dwarves get recreated in the modern world where they all slowly start to remember Middle Earth and their adventure together. Bilbo remembers his past; he starts to document all of Middle Earth, while fruitlessly searching for the rest of the Company and others from that time. A curse is upon Thorin, and he is forced to relive the same day over and over, each time ending with Bilbo's death.

Soulmate AU; Thorin/Bilbo romance. In a Middle Earth where dwarves dream of Heartsongs and hobbits carry the name of their fated partner as private Mark, Bilbo Baggins had never been able to properly translate the strange rows of runes inscribed on his wrist. And likewise, Thorin Oakenshield had never imagined he would hear the voice of his Heartsong from a fussy little hobbit.

"He had never felt the need of being close to someone. Thorin Oakenshield always had been just fine being on his own. So the embrace he had shared with the halfling on top of the Carrock, while being his own initiative, had shaken him to his very core. He needed to get his mind back in control over his emotions.
