I believe in Eric and Sookie Happily Ever After, always! I am a fan of Charlaine Harris, because she created the world I now play in and read about. However, I in no way, condone or accept the outcome of her book series. Or the Alan Ball/Buckner version of True Blood. They were all wrong! I believe CH and AB did not allow the supernatural world to consume them and therefore they made choices for Sookie that she tried to fight against. Case in point: Sookie is in love with Eric, but fights him the whole way. Only when it is all over is she depressed and in the show's case, makes bad decisions. Sookie is no longer in love with Bill but never pushes him away completely, even after her rape by him. Bastard! Weird, unknown inner musings and actions. Most importantly, you will never see this behavior from my Sookie. I believe Sookie to be a strong Southern woman. Without a formal education, sure. Uneducated? No F* way! Ah, hello? She is a telepath. Can Sookie improve herself, grow and change into a mature woman? Oh yes! We all can but I'm happy to say she does and enjoys the ride. I believe Eric to be a powerful, take what I want, when I want, Viking vampire. Highly intelligent, strategic master, and lover extraordinaire. Enjoy your reading world and have a fabulous day! |
