Just when Luigi becomes comfortable in his new community everything goes awry when those of his former home decide that they want their lovable loser back.

In the year 1962, Kamek the Magikoopa jumped on a broomstick and attempted to abduct two human infants as they were being delivered to their parents. He succeeded in taking one, but lost the other. The lost infant, led by fate, now only has one hope: an island of dragons. A retelling of the events that took place in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

On the eve of the Star Festival, Mario and friends find themselves plunged into a grim alternate timeline where the sky is empty and Peach rules as a tyrannical empress. Now they must find their way back home, before "home" is consumed by a new evil that threatens both worlds.

After finding a mysterious book, Luigi is tasked to guard it. An evil from a kingdom from long ago seeks this book and now Luigi has to go on a quest to defeat this threat. Will he succeed? (Bad summary! Short Summary!:/)

The heroes work to find Luigi and to collect the star shards before the opposition does, but the mysterious minions of Bleck, and the strangely familiar Mr. L, have every desire to make this impossible.

A devastating fight leaves Mario in critical condition to the point of death, as Luigi remembers how it all happened. Contains swearing and violence.
