Hello, and welcome to my fan fiction page. I hope you enjoy reading these tales as much as I enjoy writing them.

Feedback and reviews are, naturally, appreciated. However, try to keep in mind that some people read the reviews before reading the story. So, please, try not to leave too many plot details in your reviews, as it can lesson the impact of certain story/character developments for other readers.

I'm on AO3 as CloakedSparrow and will be posting most of my work there from now on. I'm also Riku-Rocks on the GameBase and KHInsider, and I'm RikuRocks on Y!Gallery.

So far, most of my stories here are appropriately rated T and I don't see that changing any time soon.

I dislike any pairings between kids/parental figures, most polygamous pairings or any threesomes/moresomes, shota/shouta, and incest (Hector/Paris & Aragorn/Arwen are immune to this for some reason). Therefore, I shall never write any of them

So, now you know what to expect from me as far as pairings go.

Some facts for the majority of my Kingdom Hearts stories: Aside from the changes I will mention here and facts that have yet to be released as far as I know, I try to stick close to canon KH pre-history and keep the characters in character as I see them in the games/mangas.

I could totally see Sephiroth as Riku's father in Kingdom Hearts; therefore, I write him as such. An original character I created named Dr. Hilargi Akeru was briefly Sephiroth's wife and is Riku's mother. Zack is his godfather.

Sora's surname is Hiruma, based off the Japanese word for daylight. Kairi's surname is Ban, meaning 'evening' or 'night'. Riku's surname is Akeru and is a Japanese word for 'dawn' (it can also mean 'to open' or 'to empty').

The worlds are larger than just the areas Sora sees in the games. I assume the areas he was in were the capitols or main continents. Radiant Garden also includes the main continents (worlds/maps) from Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy VII/X/X-2. You can see maps of my KH universe and a few worlds on my DA page (the 'homepage' link above will take you there).

As in canon KH, the Final Fantasy characters are AU versions of their original counterparts, and therefore, do not share the exact same backgrounds and past experiences as those characters. They all lived on Radiant Garden until the Heartless overtook the world nine years prior to the first game.

As SOLDIER is mentioned in KH2, it along with Shin-Ra exists in my KH universe. Their based in Midgar, which is a city in the world Radiant Garden. They were once set up near the city Radiant Garden, and Ansem the Wise could call upon SOLDIER when he needed elite guards. It was temporarily set up near a town call Nibelheim on another world while the Heartless overran Radiant Garden. As Cloud was mentioned as a member of SOLDIER in KH2, I have him as one in these stories, although he was never a First Class.

I have also included SeeD, which exists in Radiant Garden and Traverse Town, where it set up during the years that Radiant Garden was overrun by Heartless.

In the KH manga, the Heartless overtook Radiant Garden nine years before the first KH game, so that's the time-span I use.

I see the events of the games occurring over a 3-4 month time-span each game, with a year in between the end of KH1 and the beginning of KH2. The events of CoM probably took a week at the most.

I don't believe that Nobodies age, therefore, I don't write them as aging creatures. The exceptions are/were Roxas and Namine, since they were exceptions to nearly everything else regarding Nobodies due to the fact that their Others still existed (Obviously, this will all soon be dis-proven in canon, but oh well; it's fanfiction).

Character ages (examples given are from the first game) I have kept Leon (25), Cloud (22), Cid (42), Sora & Kairi (14), and Riku & Wakka (15) at the ages they are in canon KH. Sephiroth, Genesis, Angeal, and Hilargi all range between 34-38 at that time; Tifa, Rude, Zell, Quistis, etc. are all around Leon and Cloud's age bracket; Zack and Aerith (she is one year younger than he is) are in their early thirties, but look around Leon's age due to their circumstances; Yuffie, Gippal, Reno, and Axel are about 20-22; Zexion will normally be around 14-15, but will range anywhere from that to his early 20s (while still looking as he does in CoM) depending on the fic; Selphie, Tidus, Penelo, & Vaan's ages have been changed to be the same as Sora and Kairi; Rex and Penelo's brother are 16; and King Mickey, Minnie, & Vincent are older than anyone would probably guess, despite their appearances.

A Note for my Pirates of the Caribbean stories (spoilers for films 2&3): I do not believe that Will shall ever be released from his duties as soul farrier (unless his heart is pierced/destroyed). All of the original myths I've read/heard about The Flying Dutchman (before the first Russian novelization) state that the captain was bound to it forever. The Q&A pamphlet that came with my limited edition DVD of At World's End states that as well. More importantly, Bootstraps Bill tells Elizabeth it is so in AWE when he speaks of Will having to take Jones' place if he stabs the heart: "Captain...Forever."

Therefore, any post-AWE stories from me will have him bound to the Dutchman forever, sorry.

Most of my PotC stories will likely take place after CotBP, however, and ignore the other two films. While I love CotBP, the ending leaves too much ignored to allow the all-around happy ending.

The following stories are safe for those readers who cannot handle or simply dislike shonen ai/slash/yaoi: Duo; Contrasting Relations; Meeting Mrs. Mouse; Chercehz Le Femme; any of the Lupine Origins stories; Forever and a Day; The Day After Forever; Unspoken Ardour; In The End; Promises, Promises; Unexpected Holiday; Saving Me; Meaningful Trivialities; New Arrivals; Tempus Fugit; An Unexpected Call; Unlocking A Legacy; Waiting in Denial; An Alchemist's Will; and for the most part, The Division of a Trinity. Many of the stories in Arsenal of Words are also non-slash friendly (see my note on that series for details). Most of the stories in 30 Tales of Brotherhood will be slash-free and those with slash will contain warnings. Thanks.

Here are a few things I think I should mention about certain stories:

Arsenal of Words: This is a series of one-shots, based on word prompts sent to me by friends and readers, and therefore, everything including style, theme, pairing, characters, and length, will alter from 'chapter' to 'chapter'. There will be slash in some and not in others. Some will have multiple pairings, while others will be friendship stories with no pairings. Each chapter is proceeded by a pairing & setting alert, so you may skip the ones you dislike if you chose to.

Note about sending in prompts: Anyone can send in three words and/or acronyms for this by PM or review. However, know that I will write whatever comes to mind when I read your prompt, so I cannot promise that they will or will not be used in any particular way. Thank you. Embrace to Awaken: This is a collaborated effort between myself and the talented Jediempress. It is a Kingdom Hearts fanfic. Summary: Riku’s friends on Destiny Islands aren’t sure what to do about his approaching birthday or his recent strange behavior. That is, until King Mickey arrives with unsettling news that leads to a search for the gift that could prevent tragedy. Notes: this tale will include shōnen-ai. If you are interested in reading this, please go to Jediempress’ page on this site or on Y!Gallery. Complete.

A Heart's Quest: This is a Kingdom Hearts fanfic. Summary: The return of an old friend spurs Leon on a journey he never hoped to undertake. With a Keyblade master as his companion, he will gain more than he set out to learn. Notes: This tale will include shonen-ai, and possibly Yaoi in later chapters. This story is another co-write with Jediempress. Complete.

Unlocking A Legacy: This is a Kingdom Hearts fanfic that is on hiatus. It is a collab with Anne3448, and can be found at her account here, under the pen-name; MoTi550. Summary: When the Worlds are once again attacked, it is up to Sora and Riku to figure out what's going on and stop them before it's too late. The answer, however, may lie where they'd never think to look for it.
