My name is Jen. I am 32. I write. I read. I have a Bones addiction. Well, DB in general. He's an amazing actor and an incredible director.

We all have our celebrity crushes. David Boreanaz is mine. If he was not already married and 17 years older than me... whew! I don't understand how he just keeps getting hotter each year.

Maybe the age difference, the long distance and the fact that he's married is a blessing. I'm a Taurus and he's a Taurus... Tauruses are too bullheaded to be with each other. It wouldn't work out anyway.

I have always worn crazy socks. ALWAYS. It's who I am. I have tons of crazy socks. I only have two pairs of normal white socks and three pairs of black socks for when I need to be professional for a gig. I was very surprised when I first found out DB had the same affinity for fun socks. It made my day.

I am a huge fan of Bones. Favorite show ever. Honestly, if I had my way and wrote for Bones, I would have to insist that they move the show to HBO. ;)

I have four fics being written at the moment. Two are a little bit on the fluffy side with a does of drama. The other is definitely a little more angst/hurtcomfort/romance. The other is a series of smutty one-shots.

Incomplete

The first one, "First a Dream" is under the process of being rewritten slightly, so I may not be as diligent with it as I am my other fic. Recently brought out of a hiatus. (Update June 19th 2014: This is STILL (hey, we all have real lives, right?) in the process of being finished. I will post the remaining chapters when it is completely finished to minimize long gaps between chapters.)

"The Jelly Bean in the Bones" is my most cherished baby at the moment; not just because BB are expecting in this fic, but because I've spent so much time and effort on this one and really made it a priority for myself to escape the reality of the beginning of s6. This fic takes place before the gravedigger trial, so it before Bones starts to question her part in everything. She and Booth never split and go to separate parts of the Earth. He never meets Hannah. In fact, Hannah, is briefly in this one, but I believe you will greatly enjoy the capacity in which she does appear. This main arc of the story is that Bones is pregnant and she and Booth had been keeping their relationship a secret, but now they have no choice but to tell their friends and family. This story is the depiction of their lives during the pregnancy. There are several smaller story arcs within this massive 200,000 word story, some of which could stand on their own. So if a particular part of the story doesn't interest you, keep reading because it's a real roller coaster and something might interest you later on. "She Isn't Enough" is the angsty one. It deals with Booth's gambling addiction resurfacing as he realizes things that are amiss in his life with Hannah as his girlfriend. He rights the wrongs in his life as he develops a deeper relationship with Brennan. They work together to solve what made him snap and leave work to go on a gambling binge in order to destroy what he thought he wanted out of life. Along the way, it's a turbulent emotional roller coaster for Booth. He goes back and forth between acceptance and turmoil and guilt over various aspects of his life and the effects that his decisions have had on him and others around him. "Smutty Side Dishes" is a series of smutty one-shots relating to various foods in one way or the other. The food may be directly involved in the sex or it may just be a passing mention or a motivation for the sex. For this I've taken a list of various foods and wrote them down on pieces of paper and out them into a bowl. The bowl decides what comes up next.

My "Bailed Out" series is now complete. It started off as a one-shot depiction the humorous aftermath following Booth and Brennan's arrest. Why were they arrested? Well, let's put it this way, the last installment is the M rated prequel that accounts the events leading up to the arrest. The series outlines different reactions of characters such as Cullen, Caroline, Max, Angela, Sweets, Daisy, Wendell and Cam to the arrest of our favorite crime-fighting duo. The series should be read in this order: Bailed Out, Best Friend Card, Dude, Seriously?, Nosy Interns, Arrested.

"Tangible Pain" is also complete. Very angsty. Very dark. Starts off BH, and Brennan can't take it. Rather that deal with the irrationally painful feelings, she turns her pain into something real, something physical, something tangible. She turns it into something she can understand. She self harms herself to create a physical pain. A pain that she can see why it hurts, unlike the hurt of her feelings. When Angela discovers the truth she seeks the help of Booth, only to find out he knew something had changed in her, but didn't do anything. Will guilt be enough for Booth to finally be able to get Brennan the help she needs?

"Family Comes First" starts out right off the bat with Booth yelling at Hannah for going to chase a story on Christmas day. She leaves anyway, and Brennan comes over to have Christmas dinner with the Booth boys. She had already accepted the invitation long before Booth and Hannah had the argument so she shows up knowing nothing about their fight. She comforts him, and they talk out a lot of issues between them. The BB love continues in the M rated follow up, "New Year's Celebration".

"Will You Be My Valentine?" is a short and sweet little one-shot designed to give the warm fuzzies. Booth is coming off of a rejected marriage proposal to Hannah, and Brennan is coming to terms with the fact that Booth was with Hannah and they had truly missed their shot at a life together. Now, with Hannah gone, Brennan knows that chances is back, but even though it's Valentine's Day, she knows that he isn't ready for anything like that so she gives him the distance she thinks he needs. How does a visit from Parker persuade her to go see him? Lots of Parker and Bones cuteness, along with one of the cutest little conspiracies with unexpected twist. Ends with BB's close friendship on the road to a relationship. (This may eventually have a followup.)

"Accepting Help" was inspired by a motorcycle accident of someone very dear to me, Douglas. Booth gets into an accident, and he has a little trouble accepting help, as the title suggests, but this penchant for independence gets him into a little comical trouble. This is meant to be a funny light-hearted one-shot, that I wrote mostly because when I tweeted about the actual occurrence that happened to Douglas, someone said that they could see Booth being the same way. I completely agreed that it was very much something that Booth would do. Just what am I talking about? Read to see. This was a great writing exercise for me and I think that it played a great part in helping me heal emotionally from the accident.

"Wedding Cake" This is a "T" version of a pair of one-shots from my "Smutty Side Dishes" collection that I felt could stand on its own sans smut. In the first one-shot, JA are renewing their vows and Bones once again questions Booth about change and happiness, leading to a surprise for everyone. In the companion one-shot, BB are celebrating with their own wedding cake.

"Requesting Maternity Leave" Brennan talks to Cam, who is unaware of the pregnancy, about taking maternity leave, or more specifically needing to take it. Her social skills leave some comical misunderstandings until Cam and Jack start questioning Brennan, who isn't as forthcoming in her answers as she thinks she's being. Highly humorous; I suggest not drinking anything in case of spraying it everywhere as one reviewer experienced.

"Baby Shopping with the Booth Clan" Booth and Brennan procrastinate shopping for the baby. It's two weeks until her due date, and they have NOTHING. Why? Brennan refused to let anyone throw her a baby shower and Booth's been too busy to take her shopping. Now that Brennan is officially on leave, and they both have time to go shopping, Brennan is heavily pregnant, snarky, and sassy as she just wants to stay at home and eat or sleep. Booth and Brennan take Parker along on their shopping trip to involve him, where he ends up being the mediator of BB bickering, joking around, fluffy bunnies, Inquisitive!Parker, booby talk, Embarrassed!Booth, static-electricity more bickering, adorable big brother Parker, Colloquially.Challenged!Brennan. Post season 6 finale one-shot.

"Just the Two of Us" This was written for the Bonesology Fanfic Writing Challenge in which we were to give BB some alone time away from the lab, work, baby talk, and reality before the baby comes. Booth wants to surprise Brennan by taking her on a babymoon to a place she's never been. He takes all kinds of measures to find out every place that she's been in order to choose a destination and does whatever he can to make the trip happen. It's their last chance for alone time before the baby comes to just be themselves. Take a tour of Dublin with BB! Despite how much the sex wanted to happen in this fic, I was able to keep it a nice T rated fic. Rare for me, I know. It's sappy sweet and sure to give you cavities. Booth POV; one-shot.

"Authority Figure" This was written for the Bonesology Fanfic Writing Challenge in which we were to pick two characters in which the dynamic will be changing for the up-coming season and explore those changes in a one-shot where there is an argument, conflict, and a resolution. Changes come along with new relationships Brennan finds that one of the most significant changes is her status with Booth's son. Some harsh words tension between Parker and Brennan lead Booth to mediate find a solution that all can live with. Rated T

"Item Number Six" This was written for the Bonesology Fanfic Writing Challenge in which we were to "Write a one-shot in which any two characters compare 'bucket lists'." In this short little ficlet Angela shows Brennan her list helps her make one of her own. Booth enters the scene right as Brennan is adding one last thing to her list. Item #6 on her list will prove shocking to both Booth Angela. Rated K.

"For Our Family" This is a Booth POV one-shot taking us from the moment Brennan left him at the church with an empty baby carrier through his thoughts and emotions as he heads home alone. He breaks down, only to be picked up by Caroline who has come with a delivery for him. She explains that Max paid her a visit and said that he knew that Booth would need someone to talk to and that she could deliver a letter that might help him a lot in his struggle to understand why Brennan left and to come to peace with it. Booth is also paid a visit by the FBI in their search for Brennan in which he tries to assure them that he has no idea where Brennan is and that he had nothing to do with her going missing.

"The Moments We Pine For" This was written for Biba's Bones Secret Santa 2012 challenge for Dispatch22705. She wanted BB, pie, a birthday, and a shirtless Booth. There are moments in all of our lives that we wish we could be there for, but can't. It's Parker's birthday, but he's in London and Booth can't be there for the big 13! There are also many people who let moments like those pass them by for various reasons, choosing to instead focus on protecting themselves from hurt. Brennan used to be one of those people. Booth's presence in her life has changed that for her. Booth's in a foul mood due to not being with Parker on his b-day. Brennan seeks to cheer him up. They both get more than they could have hoped for on this day.

I read a lot. And I write a lot. But keep in mind that I do have a real life outside of ff, and my updating is not really set on any schedule. It happens when it can, which is most of the time way less often than I'd like.
