It will be posted under another title because some kind soul told me that the translation I used was wrong (thanks so much!) and it will DEFINITELY be better than the first chapter I posted.

Twisting the Tides

I had just watched Painted Skin and Painted Skin 2: The Resurrection and I loved it! The actors were amazing and the plot was wonderful, except I totally think Xiao Wei should have been with Jing in the end. Poor Xiao Wei! She suffered so much... *cries* So anyway, after a long (much too long) period of inactivity on this site, I came up with this. I have some others for other fandoms too, but this was the one I was content to post already. JingWei (Xiao Wei and Jing) and lots of drama. Will be a series of one shots. Please give it a try, even if you don't know the plot of the movie, at least read it and tell me whether the writing was good!

To those who are like just starting out with FANFICTION *fangirls/ boys(?!) all over the world scream!*

I know it must be frustrating to hear all about the wonders of fanfiction, but be unable to find these so-called *mind blowing fics* you've heard of. Don't lose hope! I mean, its hard for everyone, but when you do find those fics, it will definitely be worth the wait! Don't just try this site, there are others on LiveJournal (LJ), Archive Of Our Own (AO3), and even Tumblr! The key is finding good rec lists.

I know sometimes when you find something you particularly don't like in a fic you happen to read, you want to scream your frustrations or flame the author (I myself haven't been flamed yet, and I'm sure I'll cry my heart out when I do). Please don't. Remember this is FANfiction, which means its made by fans like you who have their own likes, ships, etc. Same goes for when the plot is great but the writing quality... meh, not so much. I'M NOT PINPOINTING OR CRITICISING ANYONE WITH THIS. And so, yeah. If you don't like their writing style, why don't you gently point out the mistakes in a review. Reviews were made for constructive criticism afterall. OR... you could offer to be their beta! Just don't be mean about it.

Try not to stick to one fandom, open your mind and explore the world of fanfiction. God only knows it took me long enough to do just that. If you need help finding a start in a certain fandom, drop me a PM or in a review, and I'll see what I can do, even if I don't go into that fandom. I have connections (like a MAFIA BOSS), and... yeah I'm rambling.

Basically, welcome to the world of fanfiction. Now go on, waste the rest of your life here, and you damn well won't regret it. Maybe a bit.
