My take if a self insert was sent into the mass effect universe.

On the dawn of the 27th century, the UNSC discovers a Mass Relay, and unlock its power. What follows not only includes making contact with new species and making new friends, but making new enemies as well, and the entire galaxy will shake.

After reuniting with another member of the original Normandy, Shepard runs across a derelict ship that holds a savior of another galaxy and recruits him for a suicide mission against the collectors.Story is certain events of ME2. Prequel to ME3 crossover.

Noble Six is left behind to fight the Covenant, and die fighting. Or so they thought. AU where Six survives Reach, and gains a new companion from an unlikely source.
