How do you do?

I'm NumberCDLI, and it is nice to meet you. I'm a writer who with a fondness for the Fire Emblem series and archives, and a few others, such as Fate/Stay Night, RWBY, and My Hero Academia.

My goals as a writer on this site:

1) Write stories that people will enjoy.

2) Gain experience and grow as a writer.

In my opinion, experience is one of the best, if not the best, teachers out there. As such, I hope that as I work on my writing style and improve my quality of writing, I can publish stories that readers will be able to enjoy. I find that these two goals go hand-in-hand, and my end goal is to continuously improve with each story and each chapter that I publish.

My reasons for writing on this site:

Some years ago, a good friend of mine introduced me to Rick Riordan's series, Percy Jackson & the Olympians. At the time, the second book in the series, The Sea of Monsters, had just been published, so my friend lent me his copy of the first book in the series, The Lightning Thief, to read during school. I didn't get that far into the book before the school day was over, but in that short time, I found myself completely enraptured with it. That same week, I went to the local Barnes and Noble and purchased a copy of The Lightning Thief for myself.

Ever since then, reading has always been one of my favorite pastimes. I would often found myself being drawn into a world beyond ours through the form of paper and text, and every time I finished a book or a series, I found myself longing for more. It got to the point that I ended up skipping classes at school to go to the local bookstore to just read. At some point in time, I was inspired at how authors were able to create the worlds that I immersed myself in and the characters that I came to love, so I figured that I'd try my own hand at it.

Potential delays in updates:

Despite my love for writing fanfiction, I am unable to do so all of the time. As much as I would love to continuously write and publish stories here, writing fanfiction will not earn me income.

As it is, I am currently working on a novel that I hope to publish. It is set in a medieval-fantasy world, not unlike the Fire Emblem series, with a heavy emphasis on the moral grey area, and how the terms "good" and "bad" differ depending on the person.

This idea stemmed from how everything is a matter of perspective, and is a theme that I’ve started putting the idea into a couple of my fics as well, the main one being Plegia’s Strategist. It will also become more apparent in A Second Half-and-Half and Fire Emblem: Another Awakening as the stories progress.

With me working on the story and working during the day, I’ve come to find that I have very little free time on my hands. Whatever free time I do have, however, I will spend on my stories.
