Heh, the profile that I wrote in my younger days seems quite dreadful in retrospect, and I'm no longer quite so sure what to say about myself. I suppose the easiest things would be that I'm a Mathematics graduate student from a publishing family--certainly a unique enough combination, ce n'est pas? On the whole, my days as an author of fanfiction are done, or at least that was what I thought. Of late, I've resumed taking some enjoyment of the craft simply because working in the bounds of an existing world suits my abilities better than creating a wholly new world to work in. Restriction breeds creativity in terms of writing, so long as it's not -too- restrictive.

Given that, I can be somewhat free with my interpretations of things. I try to avoid being blatantly out of character, but I'm well aware that my style has a certain effect on everything that it is used to portray. I've been told that it's a sort of enforced decorum, or that "[e]verything vibes refinement and politeness, a strictness of order that all must adhere to." So, if you prefer more humorous or casual styles, I might not be the best author to satisfy your interests, although I like to think that I do have a certain humor. Irony, after all, has a place in anything.

As to what I write, that changes rather often as far as I can tell. At the present time, my interest has been captured by Devil Survivor II, but who knows what will be next? Even though I'm an avid reader, I've never felt right writing fanfiction for books, though. On the whole, I expect to write about games, as they are a medium I both enjoy (which can't be said so much about anime anymore) and feel comfortable writing for, given that there is generally more room to interpret characters from games. Occasionally, though, I might write for other forms of visual media.
