Author has written 2 stories for Descendants, 2015. Cinderella walked on broken glass, It's all about smiles and tears; because love means facing your biggest fears. I love watching 'The Princess And The Frog' as Tiarna is one of my favourite princesses. What Tiarna stands for and what she teaches Naveen is similar to what my family have told me as I have grown up- to work hard as that is the only way to get things in this world and always fight for what you believe in. I love cooking and I truly believe that friendship and love can defeat any evil in this world. That is why Tiarna is one of my favourite Princesses- because she is most like me and isn't afraid to speak her mind and get the job done- just like me. I also love Belle from 'Beauty And The Beast' as we both have long brown hair and brown eyes. I love reading and that has sometimes got me hurt as I have walked into walls, nightstands and once I walked into a lamp post just because I was reading a book. Please don't ask me why I was walking outside while reading a book, I am really weird when it comes to books. To me, Belle is really strong and although the Beast, at the beginning of the movie was supposed to be this mean and scary creature, she didn't show anyone she was scared and put on a brave face. That to me proves that she is amazing because she knew that she wasn't going to let the Beast break down her self-esteem and make her seem afraid and it is also why I love Belle so much. My favourite Disney Villain has to be Cruella DeVil and it has been since I watched 101 Dalmations at the young age of four. Cruella DeVil was really crazy and although she tried to kill and skin puppies for a coat, I really wanted to understand why she wanted to do that. I was taught that everything happens for a reason so what fascinated me as a child was that unlike villains like The Evil Queen who wanted to be the fairest in the land or Jafar who wanted to rule Agrabah, Cruella DeVil didn't have a seeable reason to hurt the puppies. That made her so much more interesting to me and someone who I believe I could have a normal conversation with if she was real, unlike with Maleficent where we would just talk about her childhood because that is something I want to see a lot more of in movies like Maleficent 2. My favourite characters in Descendants have to be Mal, Audrey, Evie and Uma. Firstly, one of my favourite characters in Descendants has to be Mal. Mal stands out in the crowd with her purple hair and edgy outfit, but even when she was blond and wore dresses, she was still unmistakably the leader of her group. She may not have been born into a position of power like Audrey but Mal grew up leading and protecting her friends, a trait you can clearly see when she turns into a dragon to protect her family, that is on the boat, from Uma. Everything Mal does is to protect and made sure her friends are happy, even going to the extent of hiding her own feelings so her friends could enjoy their new life in Auradon without having to worry about Mal. Those reasons are just some of why I think that Mal is an amazing character. Dove Camron played Mal perfectly and let the audience understand Mal's struggles. Instead of making Mal this fictional character, Dove Camron used her amazing acting skills and made Mal seem like a girl you could really understand and talk to- like she was real. My other favourite character is Evie. Evie is the fashionista of the group but she can also be the big sister. In times when her friends don't need protecting, Evie acts like she is the middle child in their family- almost like she is working behind the senses and making sure that everything in the group works smoothly so no one gets hurt. But when something happens, Evie takes over as leader of the group and helps sort out the problem, no matter who it is that is in trouble. In Descendants 2, Ben gets kidnapped so Evie takes control of the group behind the senses, making plans to rescue Ben while also helping Mal deal with everything because she knows that Mal would do something stupid to get Ben back if she had the chance. Evie acts like the big sister of the group and Sofia Carson played Evie amazingly because you could truly tell when Evie was sad and about to cry but just hiding it, so that means that Sofia Carson was able to communicate with the audience Evie's secret feelings. Thirdly, my favourite character is Uma. Uma controls her part of the Isle and although she was considered the 'villain' in Descendants 2, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her but also be wary about her. Unlike Harry who lets everyone see his anger by using his eyes, Uma held in her anger which made her even deadlier because you couldn't tell if she was about to smile or plan an attack on someone. That kind of uncertainty made me more wary of Uma's plans than Harry's. Harry Hook was vicious, ruthless and crazy and sometimes that can work against him as you can clearly see when he is close to attacking, giving the other person time to defuse the situation or time to run. With Uma however, she was smart in that sense and didn't let anyone see her anger that often which made her even more of a threat than the hook-wielding pirate she called her 'First-Mate'. China Anne-Mcclain played Uma really well and integrated herself perfectly into the storyline while also making all the other characters change slightly so it was as if the 'Rotten Four' were really revisiting an old enemy. I rarely see this good of acting on Disney and it is really good to see an actor be in a movie that people of all ages can watch, not just children. Lastly, this is the only Auradonian that is on the top of my favourite list and that is Audrey. I am a massive fan of Mal so at first, I didn't really like Audrey as she was really mean to the VK's when they first arrived but as I watched the movie more and more, I realised why she did the things she did. I like to believe that Audrey was scared that Mal and her friends were going to hurt her family so she put on a brave face and tried to make Mal and her friends feel like they didn't have as much power as they did when on the Isle so they wouldn't hurt her friends. Audrey didn't make the VK's feel like they have no power because she isn't mean, she is just misunderstood like Evie, Mal and Uma. The actress who plays Audrey, Sarah Jeffery, played her in a way that when you first watch Descendants 1, you think that Audrey is like a side-villain but the more you watch it the more you realise that maybe Audrey isn't as bad as she may seem at first look.
