Author has written 7 stories for Danny Phantom. Story Update as of 3/25/18: Yo, I'm not dead. A couple of things have been permanently discontinued and it's noted below. If you've sent me private message in the last year or . . . well, two or three and I haven't responded, sorry. I mostly abandoned this site and everything else for a few years. My life's been hectic, I've picked up a couple of chronic illnesses that make my day to day life range from tolerable to wishing I could stay in bed all day, and . . . yeah. Excuses are excuses and you don't have to accept them, but that's essentially where I'm at. For stories, I'm working on Just Five Minutes again. I'm actually just about done with it (as in writing what I think is the second to last chapter or so of it now). It's likely very different since I originally started writing it many years ago and barely remember where I intended it to go or how I wanted it to resolve, and I probably didn't hit the challenge one hundred percent correctly, but . . . it is what it is. I'm planning to finish it this month and then post it when it's done, and if you like it, awesome. If not, I totally get it. But I'm not going to post any part of it until it's completed. I also have another story I ended up writing that is kind of a Lost variant from my fic list below and it requires a lot of editing. It's done, but that'll likely go up after Just Five Minutes. Questions, comments, snide remarks? Feel free to PM me. I will *try* to pay more attention and respond if you send me a message. Apologies again for failing to do so these last few years. When I started on this site I was in my early twenties and found myself sucked into the phandom after getting hooked on a kid's show that I caught by accident when I was hanging out with my stepbrother one day. Now I'm thirty, expecting my first kid, finishing up yet another college degree that I'm probably not going to use, and still working a job that I don't super love. I started writing fanfiction originally to get practice with my writing. I'm a little embarrassed by a few of these fics, if I'm being honest, but I've resisted the urge to just delete them outright since I know there were still a handful of people that enjoyed them despite my own misgivings about them. I'm hoping to start working on original fiction in the near future, so my getting back into fanfiction has a lot to do with polishing up my writing skills some more before re-attempting to write some short stories and eventually a novel. I know that if I don't start now and have a kid it may never happen, so I'm doing my best to get into writing at least 400-500 words a day if I can since it feels manageable despite everything else happening in my life. I'm a total nerd. I love reading, writing, LARPing, video games, D&D, and just about any other nerdy hobby you can think of. My favorite authors vary with the time of day, as do my favorite shows, movies, or games. In Progress: 101 Oneshots: My response to MiniHayden's challenge, and it will include a variety of genres. Currently rated 'T' since I know I'll hit that line somewhere. Expect updates to come every one to two weeks, depending on life stuff. And, naturally, if you ever see one that you want to continue, feel free to do so. Just PM or mention in a review that you're going to do it, 'kay? On Hiatus: Just Five Minutes: In an attempt to make money, Tucker and Danny decide to charge twenty bucks for a date with Danny Phantom. The last thing they expected, however, was for Valerie to take them up on their offer, or for her to actually start to like Phantom. Slight AU. Danny x Valerie. Rated 'T' primarily for language, and definitely a romance and humor kind of fic. Response to an old challenge by ghostanimal. Admittedly not my usual style, I know, but I needed something sort of silly to make me smile. Ten Minutes to the End: Time is running out and the key to everyone's survival rests in Jazz's hands, yet when something unexpected happens will she still have any hope of making it in time to save the ones she loves? No PP. This is no longer a one-shot. I'm currently working on it, but expect it to be a while before it updates since I'm still figuring out how I want to proceed with it. Discontinued/Up for Adoption: Lost: After a terrible accident in the Fenton's lab, Danny is presumed dead by his family and friends; however, it turns out that he's still alive and is now trapped within the Ghost Zone. Will Danny be able to find his way home before it's too late? This story is AU and is rated 'T.' I have the basic outline for the story written out, and it's going to be pretty long. Also, unlike with The Ghosts of a Memory, I don't have most of it pre-written and ready to edit, so expect updates to be somewhat sporadic for this one. Discontinued, primarily because I never got the original inspiration I had for it back, but up for adoption on the off chance that anyone is interested in reading it. Completed: The Ghosts of a Memory: After missing for several weeks, Danny returns with no memory of what happened to him. Determined to find out the truth, Danny tries to uncover the mystery of his disappearance even though he risks destroying himself in the process. No PP. Rated T for what will eventually become totally obvious reasons. This is my first multiple chapter fanfic, and although it's pretty rough and a bit cliche, it has a soft spot in my heart. :) No Exit: After crashing in the Ghost Zone, Danny, Jack, and Maddie are trapped inside the wreckage of the Specter Speeder with no way to escape . . . or so Jack and Maddie think. Revelation fic. One-shot. No PP. This is mostly just an old one-shot that I uploaded after stumbling across it on my computer one night. Not terribly original, but it was one of the first DP fanfics I ever wrote, so I've got a certain amount of fondness for it as well. ;) Potential Future Fics: That's the Truth: After saving the world from the Disasteroid and becoming a world famous celebrity, Danny ends up starring in a week long reality TV special. It seems like it's all in good fun, but as the show progresses secrets are revealed and shock waves go well-beyond harmless entertainment. Post-PP. Based on a fic from my one-shot collection by the same name. A Star in the Darkness: Captured by Walker during a quest to save her lost son, Maddie Fenton is forced to work alongside a strange ghost named Phantom to escape the prison and continue her mission. But will this ghost help Maddie find her son or ultimately destroy what little hope she has left of being reunited with the boy who went missing in the Ghost Zone nine months ago? AU. Mother/son bonding fic. The Runaway: After receiving his ghost powers in a terrible accident, Danny Fenton runs away from home and finds himself on the doorstep of an all-too familiar billionaire. Vlad is more than willing to assist the boy; however, when it comes time for a certain reunion, it may turn out that the billionaire wants something from Danny in return after all. Plot bunny adopted from Jeanette9a. AU. No slash. What Is and What Should Never Be: Ever wonder what would happen if Danny told his parents the truth right away? If he was captured by the GiW, if he and Valerie hadn't broken it off, or if the accident at Wisconsin University had gone yet another way? This fic explores the infinite possibilities and realities that could have and sometimes would have existed if not for a certain Master of Time . . . and why Clockwork ultimately decided that none of these futures was the one that the world needed the most. Extreme AU . . . yet not. Response to a challenge from WingsofTech. |
