Athos, Porthos and Aramis weren't always the Inseparables. Treville brought them closer, but Savoy brought them together.

Athos is drunk and says something. d'Artagnan suddenly has the irresistable urge to prove himself, which makes the Inseperables seem a whole lot less inseperable. Then, a mission goes terribly wrong... WARNINGS: Torture scenes, violence, probably some swearing here and there.

There is a rift between Athos and Aramis because of the truth that they share and the lies they use to cover it. There is a mistake and a mission and things come to light, some of them that Athos wished had remained in the dark.

It is a treacherous and dangerous journey taken by the soldier during war. Set after the declaration of war with Spain and during the subsequent campaign, watch the Inseparables travel a tumultuous physical and emotional journey that only gets harder when they believe they have lost one of their own.

After the skirmish in Pinon (S2 E5, 'The Return'), the boys are on their way back to Paris. There is only one little problem: Athos didn't escape as unscathed as it seemed at first look. *&* Slightly off- cannon, as well as a bit AU. Lots of H/C and Angst and 'some' Athos-whump. *&* Main focus on Athos and d'Artagnan and their bond.

S2, after Through a Glass Darkly. Out of favor with the King, Treville and d'Artagnan are assigned to transport prisoners to Soissons. When their party is ambushed, Rochefort sends the Red Guard after the prisoners under the guise of protecting the King. But the Inseparables mount their own, dangerous rescue, brotherhood holding more importance than a a doomed outcome.

Summary: A collection of brief moments between our musketeers (especially d'Artagnan and Athos), that would otherwise go unnoticed; swallowed up in the hectic parts of a day to perhaps end up in the recesses of memory – tucked away. Chapter Fifteen: As the hour before a mission draws near – our musketeers share a moment of love, allegiance and brotherhood.

A mission gone sour. A pursuit through the trees. Hounded by would be assasins will the Musketeers make it back to Paris in one piece, or will complete exhaustion itself be the death of them?

It's an ordinary rainy day for the Musketeers until a convicted killer- with a connection to Aramis- is reported to have escaped from prison. Tasked with finding him, they managed to trap him in the catacombs beneath the city streets. As they venture down to find him things go from bad to worse... will the hunters become the hunted? Lots of whump and caring!brothers. R&R?

The holiday season is upon Paris, but one particular musketeer is moodier than normal, which is making his friends nervous.

Written as an entry to the third 'Fete des Mousquetaires' challenge with the prompt 'Frozen', this story is set on a snowy Christmas Eve in Paris when the Inseparables make an important discovery. Belated season's greetings to you all.

The boys become entangled in a conspiracy of monumental proportions with one who will stop at nothing, even torturing and killing, to get what he wants.

When the King sends Treville on a mission outside of Paris, the Captain leaves a trusted second in temporary command. Nothing can go wrong. Can it? Set in the months between Seasons 1 and 2.

A what-if vignette of sorts, set after the end of the second season. Aramis has been reclaimed, war declared. They encamp in wait for the opening salvos in a hotly contested area of both French and Spanish claim. The four bond, especially glad to be together again in these calm-before-the-storm-moments.

Only once in his life had Tréville disobeyed orders from his king and he would be executed for high treason should Louis ever learn the truth. When Richelieu threatens to bring this secret to light, can Tréville hope for help from his loyal Musketeers or will they turn away from him, once they have learned the truth? Decisions have to be made and more than one life is at stake.

The Musketeers thought they were bringing Athos home to heal but instead they find themselves embroiled in a battle from an unseen enemy that could bring the entire Musketeer garrison to its knees. This is an enemy unlike any other the Musketeers have faced and they are unprepared for the thief that will steal their breath away and possibly rob them of their lives.

One wrong punch and Aramis' life is made a living hell. But it's his own stubbornness that could be his downfall. Set before 1.08.

It's early winter in the south of France. Athos and Porthos find themselves stuck in a swamp while trying to rescue their horses from bandits who may or may not be simple horse thieves. Aramis and d'Artagnan stand a valiant defense of their mired friends and all of them pay with various levels of injury and regret. -Complete.

"Your only job is to survive." Athos' voice caught on the last word and d'Artagnan could feel the amount of fear the man held for him. He could not deny his friend so he gave a shaky nod, promising himself that he would survive for as long as possible, the only question being, would it be enough?

When the desecrated corpses of murdered nobles start appearing around Paris, the musketeers are tasked with finding the murderer. The case itself is enough to put anyone on edge, but why does Athos constantly feel that someone is watching him?

Constance recovers from the events in Emilie's camp with assistance from the musketeers..

Plagued by the first of numerous withdrawal symptoms, a misstep puts Athos' musketeer career in jeopardy before it even actually begins. This story opens a week or so after the events in Worth Saving, a bit of 17th century rehab sponsored by Aramis and Porthos.

Does exactly what it says on the tin (though within the framework of friendship, not slash). Written for the kinkmeme prompt "Five times Aramis told Athos he loves him and one time Athos finally declared his feelings to him". OP kindly indulged my inclination to write it as BroT3/BroT4 friendship instead of Athos/Aramis romance.

d'Artagnan waits for news, word of anything that would explain what had happened to his friends.

He manages to hook a finger in d'Artagnan's shirtsleeve, finding it stiff with crusted salt and rusted blood. 'Athos,' he rasps. 'And Porthos.' D'Artagnan's eyes darken. 'I'll find them,' he swears, and is gone.

They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Athos has good intentions, but not even the fulfillment of a lifelong dream can keep him from the bottle.

As he rode out of Paris, tears once more clouding his vision and despair pooling in his belly, he couldn't help but wonder at how easily he seemed to have been cast aside.

In the filthy, overcrowded city of Paris, a miasma of sickness spreads its tendrils down every alley and into every home. The Musketeer garrison is detailed to the gruesome work of collecting the bodies piling up in streets and houses. Inevitably, the Inseparables must fall as well. For one who hears the siren call of oblivion, this could be the honorable farewell.

Athos tries to deal with the repercussions of Anne's reappearance in his life, whilst his brothers try to convince him he is a good man, aka the Milady Arc.. Spoilers for the entire season, not a romance, but a tale of missing scenes, angst, hurt/comfort, humour and brotherly love as a route to eventual healing. .

d'Artagnan is a patchwork of people and he knows it. The ache does not come from knowing that he has taken others into himself – there is no one there he recognises who he does not love and admire – but instead is born of a sense of knowing that he can never be as great as the shadows he stands in.

Milady is finally out of their lives and out of Paris. Athos is trying to put the past behind him, but somehow it isn't that easy. How would he respond if his past sins began to hurt others in ways he could not anticipate or stop? Post Season 1.

When Athos rides into the garrison one morning, badly wounded, it's up to the others to find out what happened. Does his haunted past have anything to do with it? (Of course it does!) Set after season finale. No slash. Containing spoilers.

Set S1, between episodes 3, Commodities, and 4, Good Soldier. A voluntary mission turns d'Artagnan from a wayward recruit into a Musketeer in all but name. However, first things go very, very wrong. As they do. And the men are pushed to their limits to keep their brotherhood intact.

Of all the tasks they completed, night shifts at the palace were always the worst. Or, Musketeering would be easier with coffee.

Set post S1. It's an unwritten rule of the Musketeers not to delve too deeply into another man's past; it's simply enough to be one of the brotherhood. D'Artagnan finds that life as a newly commissioned Musketeer does not run as smoothly as he might have wished. Especially when he crosses paths with an old foe of Athos. Will d'Artagnan continue to profit from his lessons and let his head rule his heart or will his Gascon pride be his downfall? Set between 1.8 and 1.9.
