Poll: Please let me know which of my WIP's you'd like to see updated? I'd love to finish them ALL one day but the likelihood is... Well it's probably best to first focus on completing the fics most anticipated by those who read them! Please take a moment... Thank you! :) Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 40 stories for Dark Angel, Avengers, and Thor. In a nutshell: 30-something. Mother of 3. Prone to escapism. Changable. Procrastinates over most things yet at times energised and enthusiastic when hit with alarmingly stupid and random ideas. Periodically tries to finish off near-complete fan fics, though usually burns out of inspiration before getting too far. Hasn't slept since the early-90's. NOTE ON FANFICS: This Burden I Bear - Was a response to Prompt #29 at Lokane Fanfic Prompts. The details of which are: 'Loki's plans to fake his own death go awry when Thor actually dies during the battle instead. Afterward he and Jane have to save the universe because, even though he's an asshole, the whole universe dying means there'd be nothing left to rule and that is simply not acceptable to him. In addition, Jane is all that remains of the only two people Loki really cared about and he will not let anyone kill her and take the life they died to preserve.' Use the line: "you are all that remains of everyone I have loved" It's also inspired by Mswyrr who made a beautiful Tumblr gifset in response to the prompt. (I wish I could post the link, but it seems ffnet no longer allows them?) The Hand That Feeds was inspired by the following Tom Hiddleston quotes: "He's buried deep in the darkest recesses of Asgard in a dungeon, unthought of, unseen and forgotten. And when you're written out of life like that, when you're written out of history, and your family have no interest in who you are, people who used to be your friends.. you've got a lot of time to think. So I'd say... if he's not there yet, he's on his way down." (on whether Loki has hit rock bottom in TDW) "He just gets lost in the wrong districts of the universe. You know like the dark alleyways, the backstreets. And the people he meets are not kind. And he really has to survive on his wits. And also with this kind of reservoir of pain based on the events of that film. Really just we kind of established that there's this terrible, almost year long journey that he goes on through as it were the jungles of the universe and it is deeply scaring. And it hardens him." (From Nerd HQ, on what may have happened to him between Thor & Avengers) FANFIC STATUSES - AS OF 23/09/16: The Enemy of My Enemy, This Burden I Bear and The Hand That Feeds are the only WIP's I'm working on for the foreseeable future. Occasionally I get an urge to churn out a Loki-centric one-shot, so Chaos Theory is a collection of oneshots I will add to whenever the inspiration hits. I currently have no plans to continue any of my outstanding Dark Angel fics in the foreseeable future. Much as I still love the show, my time in its fandom is over. (Okay wait, never say never. I still have half a chapter each of Control, Epiphany and She Asked For It waiting to be finished off. And an angsty alternative ending to No Need To Argue yet to be posted. One day I just might. ;)) ll l lll ll l lll ll l lll ll l lll LINKS OF POTENTIAL DISINTEREST: - A Loki fansite containing fanfic recs, character studies, and latest news/editorials in relation to the Thor movies and upcoming Thor 3. - All of my Loki-centric animated gifsets, screenshots, meta and fanart are posted here first. My gifsets and screenshots are available for people to repost for their own Tumblr meta. - A Thor movie fansite. Currently offline because of a backlog of outstanding webhosting fees *sigh* - A long-standing Dark Angel fansite and fanfiction archive, established in 2002 as a multishipper forum, before branching into a fullscale website. As of 2013, TBW continues to serve as a fanfiction resource, a fic archive, and a memorial to an amazing show. - My graphic/web design portfolio and mummy blog where I rant about bad hair dye experiments, messy play with the kids, and zombies. Oh, don't forget the army of cats and plans for total world domination. Of course. (Actually, most of the blog content still hasn't been transferred over from my old blogspot account. ...One day!) ll l lll ll l lll ll l lll ll l lll |
