I wrote five Alias fanfics back in 2002-2003, but at the time I didn't have the program I needed to publish them here on . You can still find my old stories at , under the profile name nosleep3. I'm debating whether to publish them here or not, although I imagine the Alias fics don't get much reader traffic these days.

If you are waiting for Angels and Devils, the sequel to Fate Worse Than Death, I regret to inform you that once I wrote it and went back and read it, I hated it. It's too long and self-indulgent and I'm not inclined to work on it anymore. It's not getting published.

If you are curious about Cracked!, yes, I'm still working on it. But I'm stuck, and I've got other projects I'm not stuck on that need my attention.

Beauty and the Beast fanfiction is new to me. I'm not sure what all is out there, but there doesn't seem to be that much on FFn. I'd appreciate recommendations for fanfics that are well-written and do not contain a ton of grammatical errors.

If you've read this far, you must really be interested, so I'll tell you these things about my bizarre life.

1. I was raised by divorced alcoholic parents and elderly grandparents who loved me but hated each other.
2. I spent a significant portion of my childhood in biker bars.
3. I learned to use firearms when I was in second or third grade. I'm not a bad shot.
4. I've lived through three major hurricanes and a lot of minor ones (if a hurricane can be minor).
5. My husband has a tendency to work in occupations that are tough on most families. He's been a Marine, an EMT, and is currently a cop. And although I don't think it's right to define yourself by your husband's career, being the spouse or child of someone who does those things is almost its own occupation, and I think women who deal with that kind of life deserve more credit.
6. No matter my religious upbringing, either the imposed or the self-imposed, I regard myself as a Freethinker. I don't think one group or another has the market cornered on faith or spiritual truth. That's just arrogant, and I think there's already enough arrogance in humanity without imposing it on our deities, too.
7. I believe in genetic memory. I think that might even be one source of what we call "deja vu" and it may even be why certain talents and abilities tend to run in families.
8. My brother is a rapper. No, seriously.
9. Though I've moved around a fair bit, I now live in the same neighborhood I grew up in. It's a crap little neighborhood, but it's MY crap little neighborhood.
10. I was born a Rockets fan, and I'll die a Rockets fan. HOUSTON ROCKETS FOREVER! CLUTCH CITY!

Anyone still here? I have one thing more to tell you:

Unless some publishing contract falls into my lap or I run for public office, I will NEVER pull my stories. Let's face it: you would pull your stories, too, if someone offered you money or if you were trying to win a school board election or something.

Other than those circumstances, I officially give instructions (yes, this means you, my next of kin) that my stories need to remain on the internet forever. I worked hard on them, I wanted to share them, and this is where they belong. Even if I die. Don't take them down, not ever.
