Author has written 11 stories for Gakuen Alice, A song of Ice and Fire, and Gakuen Babysitters/学園ベビーシッターズ. UPDATE (SEPT 7, 2015): Hello, lovelies. To those who are curious and maybe wondering whatever happened to me, basically, Life got in the way. I plan on finishing "I've Come To Need You", but my other stories have a very small possibility of ever getting finished. If you're interested in adopting any of them, feel free to pm me. ICTNY definitely has NOT been abandoned. Although, ugh, *shamefaced* it's been years since the last update. Been lurking for a few years on this site before finally making a profile of my own. More often than not, nowadays, I lurk and comment on because I find it easier to browse through stories over there than here (the tags are extremely helpful without being completely spoiler-ey). And I can download fics onto my reader. Anyways... My stories: Gakuen Babysitters-- I used to update as frequent as once a week, then a week turned into a month. Hopefully, I can stick to at least an update a month and hope to finish it sometime before the next semester starts. A song of Ice and Fire-- I love, love my stories here but I don't think I'll be able to update NBNWBG anytime soon. Inspiration has dried up. You know those times when you get so into a fandom, you end up churning out a dozen or so stories with even more ideas put on the back-burner then suddenly, boom, you stop writing...yeah. I can't be completely sure that I won't finish it though, just--not right now. The following are just a few profile-ey things and some ramblings... Fandoms/Pairings I'm into a lot, a-freaking-lot of fandoms, but, for some reason, have only posted fics on Gakuen Babysitters and AsoIaF. A few of the fandoms that I have obsessed and still obsess over are... (listed below are the fandoms I visit on , mostly because has one of the largest archive of fics under these fandoms) Gakuen Alice- it was what got me into fanfic in the first place. I don't follow it anymore but it will always have a special place in my heart. Natsume/Mikan Naruto- in the past, when I was just an impressionable young lady (gawd, I'm getting old), I never really saw past NaruHina. It wasn't long before I encountered the wonderful world of BL and yaoi. It was a turning point for me. I could never look at two male leads in a series (bromance abounding) without weighing the possibilities of there being something more to their relationship. Damn you writers. SasuNaru or SasuNaruSasu (with the occasional, and quite rare if I might say, NaruSasu)...reasons why later ShikaTemaGundam Seed/Gundam Seed Destiny- I don't give a flying fuck about the characters except for Cagalli and Athrun, who, surprise, I ship. Everyone else can all die and I couldn't care less. The only thing they're good for is minor/background characters in fanfic. *breathes heavily* I obviously feel quite deeply about this though I haven't obsessed over this fandom in a long time. Harry Potter- I rarely read fics of HP, and when I do, they usually lean towards crack and parody. No specific pairing but I may be a bit of a Harry/Ginny hater and I do prefer a Draco/Hermione pairing now and again. (listed below are other fandoms that I obsess over though I don't follow here on . rules!) Hawaii Five-0- Ermigerd, Steve/Danny. Ermigerd. I can't even. X-Men: First Class- I've always been a fan of the XMen franchise and comic verse. Then XMFC came out then all the feels, all the feels, ohmigod. Suits- Harvey/Mike ...and a few others Though, more often than not, I ship slash, I don't really care if a pairing is slash or het. As long as the writing is so fantastic that the story actually makes my feels have feels, then, well, *clicks 'favorite' button*. Quite often did I start shipping a certain pairing, not because of seeing the chemistry in canon, but because of some really amazing stories out there. For example, I love the show Psych and I'm a fan of the canon pairing as the next person, but then I read this really amazing Psych slash fic (Lassie/Shawn) and I fell in love. I don't actively ship them but I'm not adverse in reading more about the pairing. That happens a lot. I don't actively ship a pairing sometimes but the stories where I read them make the pairing look so much better than canon, it's hard not to fave and fangirl over. I'm more of a SasuNaru shipper than a NaruSasu shipper. Not because I think Naruto is girly but that I find it the hottest thing ever when someone like Naruto willingly submits (and likes/loves the act of it) by bottoming for someone like Sasuke (the broken dark seme who finds comfort in his uke). I have a headcanon that the seme/top should be in awe of how, despite being completely undeserving of the uke, the uke allows the seme to have the 'power'. The fact that the uke allows it, allows their relationship, is a power so much greater than the obvious one seen in who tops and who bottoms. A song of Ice and Fire (thoughts and shit. Warning: some angry feels) It is so unfair how awesome they made Tywin in GoT(HBO) because we all know he's going to die at some point, and the way he goes is just...as much as how awesome I found it when I read the scene in the books (the whole thing with Shae and Tyrion), I find myself not wanting to see it in the TV series. Weird. HBO shamelessly ships Jon/Dany but at least they give us Gendry/Arya. I ship Gendry/Arya, mostly because I know Jon/Arya will never happen. *sigh* I don't particularly ship Aegon/Arya but it's fun to write. All my feels go to Jon/Arya and whatever is left is for EveryoneAwesome/Arya so there's little to spare for Aegon/Arya. As much as I love strong women, I never did like Dany, even when the TV series started showing. I love dragons but my heart was always for the direwolves. I only started warming up to her through a few fics where she's an awesome side-character. I hate Jeyne Westerling. Hate is a strong word but somehow I can't find a less appropriate word to describe my feeling towards her. I don't know why. I'm an irrational person at times and it definitely shows in my prejudice against all fics where she's made a sort of central character (especially when she's pregnant with Robb's child. Gawd, I hate those fics). There are a select few fics I've read where she's sort of likable in the face of my irrational hate for her but even then, it's only because she isn't exactly a main character. As plausible as the RL=J theory is (and how inevitable it looks to be in the books), I hate, absolutely hate the idea of Lyanna going with Rhaegar willingly. I don't care how nice a writer can make it sound in a fic, how romantic it was and shit, with the whole forbidden love thing going on. I have so many issues with this, gawd, I could write a whole essay. My main issue doesn't even have anything to do with the age gap, hell, age gaps don't matter. If Lyanna and Rhaegar really did 'fall in love' and did run away for the sake of luurve, my issue lies in the fact that it was selfish. Fucking selfish. One, Rhaegar had a family. He had a wife, and although it may have been arranged, love or fondness must have surely grown after having two children. I don't fucking care if there was a prophecy that the dragon 'must' have three heads. Though Elia couldn't have a child anymore, couldn't he have tried and made whatever he did with Lyanna sort of legal? He was crown prince for fuck's sake. He could have waited or did a fucking effort of re-establishing the Targaryen tradition of a polygamous marriage. But nooo, he went behind everyone's back, unlawfully taking an unmarried girl away from her family without even so much as a short explanation. We're told that he was an intelligent young man and quite the opposite of his father. 'Love' made him blind, I suppose. He didn't even ride back to defend whatever honor he had left until it was too late, even when the entire kingdom was at the brink of war, he did nothing to try and prevent it. He could've made whatever eloping they did with Lyanna legal, or at least, less disgraceful. He could have tried to protect his still existing wife and children. If the eloping theory is to be believed, then it would also mean Rhaegar left the entire kingdom to burn for the sake of *quote*love*unquote*. I would actually prefer the theory that he took Lyanna by force, even if that implies rape/non-con. Why? Because at least I wouldn't have to hate Lyanna. I don't want to hate Lyanna, mostly because Arya is my absolute favorite character in AsoIaF and Arya is compared to Lyanna most often than not. Lyanna was said to be intelligent and spirited. If she did run away with Rhaegar willingly, without so much as a note of explanation to her family (a note which, although would have shamed their house, would have lessened the likelihood of her family going to war), that would mean 'love' lead her to selfishly throw away whatever honor she had as a lady and a woman. She could have asked Rhaegar to at least make her a sort-of legal mistress, a concubine of sorts with an established place in the palace. She could have done something, anything so that whatever child she had with Rhaegar wouldn't be labeled a bastard. If she did run away willingly, that would mean she hadn't even tried to do anything about her father and brother dying, the kingdom going to war over her. Rhaegar had ample time to return to King's Landing before the Starks were executed and officially declared war. What kind of man lets his 'beloved' woman's family die so horribly? He was said to have a good enough hold on the happenings in King's Landing, his counsel good among the people. He had power and he didn't use it. He could have forcibly put himself on the throne on account of his father being mad. He could have made a case for himself. He could have partly redeemed the act of taking away Lyanna by coming forward and doing something about it. He didn't. He left his wife in children in the most dangerous place possible. He, and maybe Lyanna were off fucking in a tower while Brandon went to King's Landing for his beloved sister. He did nothing. And only after the king was dead, only after the fact that he didn't have to face his father despite how heroically Rhaegar is portrayed sometimes, only after the kingdom was at fucking bloody war and his supposed lover was in labor, only then did he decide to face Robert. Rhaegar is a fucking coward and no matter how sweet the romance that can be spun about his and Lyanna's story, I won't forgive him. Fuck. I have issues and this is me dealing. |
