![]() Ok, my name is colourfulchatterbox (I do have a real name, but I will not release it over the net :P) I am 18 years old and I'm on a gap year before university :) I live in the UK, but I wish I could live in the US...the first step is visiting there...I have one brother and a mum and dad who use me as their personal slave. My natural state is hyper =D I use smileys and caps WAY to much!!(and exclamation marks...and dot, dot, dots - ellipsis) I am told I am TOO nice...which can backfire when trying to give good advice...but I try my best to tell the truth =D I live in Converse All Stars, my aim is to own all colours. Right now I own, black, bright blue, grey, black and white, brown, green and white, red and cream, shiny purple and camouflage...I've got quite a way to go... Next shoe to own is Doc Martens :) I love reading, mostly paranormal romance books, but I will read most things once =D. I got into fanfiction because I got annnoyed with the endings of the books I've read...I am building up to writing my own fanfiction, I just have to learn how to write properly first (I will not subject you all to my terrible writing :P) In regards to music...I will listen to everything once, I judge no one based on their music choices, I really don't like people who do that. This list keeps getting longer... In regards to movies, again I will watch anything once. I don't really have favourites, but heres a list of the ones I can watch over and over again without getting bored: This list is not in any kind of order, it's just the way they came into my head =P In regards to books...I will read most things (as mentioned above...) I cannot list all my favourite books, I will forget some of them, it would take up to much space and I would feel the need to explain each one...so I'm going to settle for choosing my absolute top authors and explaining why I like them and which books I like most...here they are: L.J Smith: I love the Dark Visions trilogy, the Secret Circle trilogy, the Vampire Diaries series, and the Night World series (waiting impatiently for Strange Fate!!)...and her other books, but I do love her. Eva Ibbotson: Her five adult books; A Company of Swans, A Song for Summer, The Secret Countess, The Morning Gift and Magic Flutes are all fantastic. They are classic romances that NEED to be read. Maggie Stiefvater: LOVED Shiver, I read it 5 times in a row. And then I borrowed her other books (Lament and Ballad) from the library and found them just as good. (still prefer Shiver though...=P) Linger RULES. Forever could not have had a more perfect ending. I've read the series about 8 times and I have absolutely NO complaints. That is extremely rare with books...I don't even need fanfiction to fulfil the void. ;D Sarah Dessen: I have only read a few of her books and the ones I have read I have really really liked...I have read Just Listen and This Lullaby 3 times...I'm going for a second time on The Truth About Forever. I have also read Along for the Ride, That Summer and Last Chance. Didn't like That Summer and Last Chance as much as the others...but I am a sucker for cute guys and a romance...I have yet to get my hands on her other books... Kevin Brooks: I have read all his books apart from his most recent books Killing God and iBoy. I LOVE them all. Find them. Read them. Stephenie Meyer: This one I have to explain!! Before I read Twilight, I stuck to classic girly books full of cute NORMAL boys and happy endings, with the most predictable plot line imaginable. But since I read Twilight I realised I can handle supernatural stuffs and found that I love them, I also discovered that Stephenie Meyer isn't the best (sorry to those who think she is...read L.J Smith and you'll see what I mean.) I uncovered a whole new genre - PARANORMAL ROMANCE. I LOVED it. So because of Twilight I now have a whole new range of favourite books =P I do love The Host though, I think that is her best book. Becca Fitzpatrick: For Hush, Hush. It is AWESOME. Anyone who has read it will agree. (Crescendo. Still need to get my hands on it...) Gemma Malley: The Declaration, The Resistance and The Legacy. Fantastic books set in the future. A must read. I met her!! And got my books signed, she rules. Meg Rosoff: Her books - How I live Now, Just In Case, What I Was and The Bride's Farewell - confuse me beyond belief, but I still love them, read each of them 3 times minimum =P Simone Elkeles: An author I only just found...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the boys in her books. Perfect Chemistry, Rules of Attraction and Chain Reaction. Her books are as hot as they sound. So much UST in these books...and they are for Young Adults!! :P There are rumours of a movie...here's hoping... Liz Rettig: My favourite book of hers is Jumping to Confusions, I am still hoping for a sequel =D But her other books are great too =D Suzanne Collins: The Hunger Games. Need I say more?? I am waiting for all the official pictures before I pass judgement on the cast, but I know the main three can act :) OK this list is getting way to long...I didn't realise I had this many authors I loved :P Any fanfics that I think are AWESOME will be on my favourites...same goes with authors :D I try to review positively, most likely if I don't review it means I don't want to flame you...I'm not a big fan of negative comments...my review lengths differ...sometimes they are abnormally long, other times they are like a line. It might be the amount of time I have to write a review...other times it might be there is really nothing else for me to say :D Yeah...:P Okay, so that concludes my favourites =D It was longer than I thought it would be... I think you all know enough about me now =D That's if anyone can be bothered to read this essay... :P I think that's it...if I think of anything else I will add it on =D colourfulchatterbox =P |
