FAQs

Q: "Is Anya (Intervention) a self-insert?"

A: No. While I share a few similarities with Anya (as I do with almost all of my original characters) she is NOT me in any way, shape, or form.

Q: "Why is [insert story here] no longer on your profile?"

A: I've deleted several of the stories I've written during my time on FFN. Fade to Black, They Looked Like Strong Hands, Swing Life Away, House's Ass, Talk, Alone, Love House, Merry Little Christmas, Retribution, Harry Potter and the Devilishly Handsome American Doctor, Always, Empty and Get Happy were all sent to the graveyard because they are simply so terrible that no amount of rewriting could fix them. If you liked them, you have my sincerest apologies. Also, This Dysfunctional Family was almost completely deleted. The only thing left of it is Not the Way You Like, which was really the only redeemable oneshot in the collection.

Q: "Are you planning on writing more Mooseley?"

A: At the moment, no...but who knows what the future holds?

Q: "Holy changing usernames, Batman! Who are you, again?"

A: Nowadays I go by VivatRex on the interwebs. Previously I was moosesquirrelkittenandking damn near everywhere, Known Unknowns before that, and in my wee tweenage years, I went by HouseMDforever. But ignoring the different names, it's all the same idiot at the keyboard.

Q: "Wow, some of this is really bad, but some of this is really good. I'm confused. Do you suck at writing or not?"

A: I have been writing fanfiction for a very, very long time, and my older stuff is very, very bad! I'd like to think my recent stuff is far better. If it's been updated or published within the past five years, it's probably okay, but some of the stuff on my profile was written as early as the tender age of 13, albeit published later. One could argue that I should mass delete all of the embarrassing nightmares from my ancient attempts at fanfic, but it's nice to remind myself how far I've come.

Q: "Hey, what the heck happened to Mr. Crowley?"

A: Unfortunately, to have continued Mr. Crowley as I originally intended (i.e. following the two of them up until Crowley's death, which would line up with...I think s4 of The Blacklist if we take the two lost years into account) I would have had to continue watching The Blacklist. Which, I'm uh...not gonna do. Nothing against the show. I don't know what the quality is like nowadays, but I know how Daddygate culminated, and let's just say watching the show makes me intensely uncomfortable now. Never had that happen before with a fandom. "Oh hey, this thing you ship? Guess what HE'S HER DAD HAHAHAHHA." Yeahhhhh. So I just messed around with a few things to make it a complete and much shorter story.
