Lord of the Forest (Harry Potter)

Synopsis: Answer to moonfeather58's Wands and Potions challenge. On a business trip to France, Harry is abandoned at three years and left to die. Close to death, Garrick stumbles upon him while in France looking for rare wand cores and enlists the help of Pomfrey to bring him back to health. It is during when he is nursed back to health that Garrick falls in love with the abused child and takes guardianship of him. At Hogwarts, the wizarding world's expectations of Harry are brought low and many shun him for being nothing like his parents, it is here that he seeks solace in the library or the infirmary, enduring bullying from some professors and students alike. After an event that Ash can't remember, he wakes up to find himself in jail in Viridian City. It is then that he finds out from Officer Jenny that he he has been accused of Max's murder along with learning that his Pokemon have either fled or been given to other trainers. Ash leaves Kanto, but not before being given one of his pokeballs containing a dear friend inside and a one-way ticket outside of Kanto. Arriving in this new region, Ash rescues our favorite trio and they disappear off the face of the earth. Months later, Ash finds a child lying in the woods and decides to adopt the child. All is well until eleven years later when someone from Harry Akiyama's old world comes and Harry is forced to go back but when he discovers betrayal from not only his own kind and his adopted father...can this new family manage to overcome the odds or will Ash and Harry end up losing what they have?

Riddled with guilt and wanting to escape more fame, he leaves Britain and the wizard world behind him, only to wind up in America where he is turned by a vampire. Forsaking his last name in favor of his heritage, Harry remains with his sire who teaches him about the vampire world. Six months into his journey, Harry makes his way towards where Victoria's coven is, drawn there by some unseen force which is soon revealed to be his soulmate. While the wizarding world looks for their savior, Harry finds himself drawn into another battle but when the past catches up with him, must decide who he will side with. Borders 2: Hunters of Mist (Harry Potter)

Synopsis: It is 1942, just barely a year after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The war is raging on in full force, Allied and Axis powers at each other's throats. The Dark Wizard Grindelwald has taken advantage of all this. He is swiftly turning fear into hatred, and turning wizards against each other for reasons based on blood status as well as race. There are rumors that he is in league with the notorious Muggle Adolf Hitler, for their views and methods are viewed as very similar- twisting fear and choosing scapegoats in order to scare masses of people into compliance. Nevertheless, despite the jagged lines seeming to cut between their countries, the school comes to a consensus that the school year must go on as planned. Letters are sent, supplies are bought, and students and professors venture to school. A hush has fallen over them all, however, for this is a time of war. It may seem to be a Muggles' war, but little do the students know that the war that is being waged extends far beyond Muggles. Grindelwald's influence is spreading quickly, and the battles only fuel this. Bloodshed seems to be inevitable in the future, and students whisper to keep their allies close, and their enemies closer.
