Author has written 44 stories for StarTrek: The Original Series, Star Trek: 2009, Heroes, and Harry Potter.
Update, September, 2018: I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy on September 21st; in the coming months, I'll be having chemotherapy. Given that I have ongoing chronic illnesses that already sap my energy, I will probably be unable to reply to comments until I'm finished with chemotherapy, and that won't be until the Spring. But please keep leaving them! A thoughtful comment on one of my stories really gives me a lift, and I SO need that right now.
My pen name is intended to be truth in advertising. :-)

I have no connection with the weirdlittlestories website; I didn't know that person existed when I chose this pen name, and I apologize for any confusion.

I'm a middle-aged woman who's loved Star Trek TOS in general and Mr. Spock in particular since I was 11. I'm a Kinsey 5, but I'd make an exception for Spock. :-)

I have a chronic illness, which limits my ability to do things. Some days, my illness limits me a little; other days, it limits me a lot. I do intend to finish all of the stories I've started ... eventually.

Because of my chronic illness, I am rarely able to reply to comments. I DO read them all with great attention, though, and I do LOVE every single one of them, even when my health doesn't permit me to reply. I apologize for being so limited in what I can do.

I've written some stories where Kirk and Spock are the closest of friends and other stories where they're lovers, so if only one of those appeals to you, you'll need check the descriptions. I have them organized by categories below.

Although I do sometimes write stories where Kirk and Spock are lovers, I almost never write M/M sex. I'm mostly a lesbian, myself, so male bodies don't interest me much, and I can't properly convey the enthusiasm that the guys should have for the activity. :-) I focus on the emotional aspects, which tend to be the ones I find most interesting, anyway.

Did I mention that I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in real life? Yeah, a Vulcan mind meld is my all-time favorite fantasy ... to see what's really IN another person's mind. *sigh*

Although Star Trek will probably always be my main fandom, I've recently started dipping a toe into the waters of Harry Potter fandom. I loved the HP books madly but never thought of writing in that fandom until a friend tried to recruit me for a fest she was running. I identify as a Ravenclaw, but all the houses have merit, and I think it's best to be a blend of all the houses, if possible.

Disclaimer: I'm going to borrow Ster J's wonderful disclaimer, since it fits me so well. I don't own Star Trek; IT owns ME! :-)

Mainstream Star Trek stories

Non-Slash

"Episode Epilogues" — A series of tag scenes for each of the episodes of TOS. Friendship only.

"Physician, Heal Thyself" — McCoy's time on an all-Vulcan ship teaches him some things about himself, Spock, and the perils of judging aliens by human standards. Friendship only.

"Personal Gods" — Kirk and Spock both meet ideas that are important to them, manifested as humanoids. Friendship only.

"The Sense of Wonder" — Kirk learns more about Spock — and also cures his own ennui — during a meld with Spock.

"Timelines Try to Repair Themselves" — I "fix" reboot Jim to make him more Kirkian. Implied slash between the Primes.

"An Embarrassing Savior" — A mainstream adventure tale with only friendship. WIP (Work in Progress)

Slash and Pre-Slash

"Amanda Enlightens Jim" — A conversation with Spock's mother dismantles the one objection Kirk had to becoming Spock's lover

"Defending Vulcanity" — A visit to the Enterprise from Spock's half-human cousin shows Kirk how to woo Spock. Pre-slash.

"Legally Friends" — Kirk and Spock realize that they want to be lovers when they undergo a ceremony to celebrate their friendship. Pre-slash to slash (but we fade to black after the first few kisses).

"They Say Vulcans Can't Lie" — A K/S story that partly proves and partly disproves that truism. This is probably my most popular story.

"Practice Pon Farr" — When Spock says they can't be lovers unless Kirk can handle pon farr, Kirk suggests that they have a "practice" pon farr, to see if things will work between them. Spock is dubious, because past human lovers haven't been able to handle Vulcan sexuality in all its glory, but of course Jim Kirk is experienced, tough, and an adrenaline junkie. :-) WIP

Short Pieces, Mostly Character Studies

Non-Slash

Amanda's Advice for Newlyweds — Why marrying an alien is actually good for your marriage

An Angel's Soul — Chapel talks to Uhura about what she saw in Spock's mind during "Return to Tomorrow"

Captain Christopher's Insight — The 20th-century man explains to McCoy why he should appreciate Spock

Exceed His Grasp — Kirk vs. Yoda. Kirk wins. :-)

Expressed DNA — A fluffy little meditation on Spock's hybrid nature, featuring Kirk, McCoy, Chapel, and M'Benga

Guardian — Thoughts that disturb Spock's meditations. Friendship only.

Idiomatic — Spock explains why he pretends not to understand idioms. Friendship only.

Implications of Known Facts — Fangirlishness about Spock, through Uhura's eyes. S/U

A Man of Integrity — Spock learns some things about himself when someone from the Enterprise's crew must have their character tested by an alien "god" in order to finish their mission.

Rebel — Spock Prime tells Kirk that he and Spock are more alike than Kirk realizes. Friendship only.

Reining In McCoy — What I think Kirk should do about McCoy :-) Friendship only.

Shepherd — Very short piece about Spock. Friendship only.

The Size of the Chain — A short piece about Vulcan emotions. Friendship only.

Strength Training — What it costs Spock to maintain his emotional control. Friendship only.

Spock's Appeal — Silly fangirlishness about Spock, (thinly) disguised as a story. :-) Friendship only.

Spock vs. Roddenberry — Spock re-writes the script for TMP, to remove the elements of that movie that I thought were a mistake. Available at Archive of Our Own, where I am also WeirdLittleStories, since RPF is not permitted here on FanFiction.

The Telepath's Burden — Kirk learns that telepathy has costs as well as benefits. Friendship only.

Vulcan Sex Ed — What do Vulcans learn about sex, and how do they learn it?

Slash and Pre-Slash

A Logical Form of Relationship — A short piece for slashers about the status of homosexuality in Vulcan society

Love Does Not Equal Sex — Kirk and Spock have a relationship that's romantic but not sexual. Available at Archive of Our Own, where I am also WeirdLittleStories.

Romance is Built In -- Kirk explains how he feels about the drama of Vulcan sexuality.

Top or Bottom — Vulcans don't have the same assumptions humans have about various sexual activities. K/S Slash

Essays
Mistakes to Avoid When Writing TOS — Exactly what the title says, this essay is intended to be helpful, not prescriptive. You can do anything you want in fan fiction — that's part of the goal and the glory of fanfic — but if you actually want to get your TOS trivia correct, here are some commonly made mistakes that you might wish to avoid.

What Shatner's New Book Tells Us About K/S — Shatner's biography of Nimoy sheds some light on how Kirk came to behave in such a way that many fans think Kirk and Spock are lovers.

BDSM-oriented Star Trek stories (NOT for everybody)
Whipping Boy — What else was in the "evil" Kirk during "The Enemy Within"? How does Spock deal with Kirk's less socially acceptable qualities? How does Spock help Kirk accept this side of himself and even use the opportunity to bring them closer together? (This features intense BDSM and sadistic Kirk/submissive Spock and is definitely not for everybody.)

The BDSM Photography Project (available at Archive of Our Own, where I am also WeirdLittleStories) — A RPF story featuring Leonard Nimoy and the reader. There's no sex in this story, but there is a moderately intense BDSM scene. This is one of the best things I've ever done, but it's very definitely not for everybody. :-)

Trust and Control — Spock and Uhura have a D/S relationship. WIP

Blood Fever (called "The Price of Admission" elsewhere) — A het pon farr story with a female OC, featuring violence and pain. Not for everybody. (I wrote this story before I'd ever read any Star Trek fan fiction. It was writing this and thinking, "Now that I've written this thing, what the heck do I DO with it" that led me to the fanfic community. I'm still finding my way into that community, so if there are places you think I should check out, please do feel free to suggest them!)

Star Trek Game Mod

I've made a Starfleet career as a mod for the computer game The Sims 3. It's free on ModTheSims, where I am Corylea.

A Petition for the Dissolution of this Friendship by HeronS reviews
When Spock comes to Kirk to "petition for the dissolution of their friendship", Kirk realizes that he really has no idea what this relationship would mean in Spock's alien culture. A story about friendship and culture clashes, and the fact that "t'hyla" and "measured, proportionate reactions" don't seem to go together. (As evidence for that, let me just say: The Search For Spock.)

Kirk thinks it's an inarguable fact that he and Spock are very different, but Spock Prime begs to differ. (Although this story is set in the reboot universe, it's at least as much about the TOS characters as about the AOS ones; it's reboot because Prime was the right speaker for this little tale. (Rated T for language, but there's neither sex nor violence in this story.))
