Hey, I'm ShootingStarz01... Also known as Aquatic Angel, {Maria} Isabelle Springer, or Starz, Starzy, Starlett... Etc. Basically, you have permission to call me anything that doesn't imply something offensive or profane!

I'm a Christian, 26 years old, and I've loved a certain blue hedgehog since Sega released their demo disk for Dreamcast and I played Sonic Adventure's first stage for the very first time. So, roughly, 1998 or '99. Sadly, I haven't approved of the story and characterization of many sonic games since the release of Sonic Heroes, so I make myself at home in my own personal Sonic AU. I really like using my own characters, Xarach in particular, so they may be prevelant. I may alternate between referring to them as OCs (original characters) and FCs (fan characters) as the general lingo everyone uses seems to fluctuate and i have no idea how it works anymore.

While I may not write fanfiction about everything I enjoy, I have a number of interests other than Sonic which may occasionally bleed through my work in form of references.

Inspirations:

My stories are inspired by many different things. Splitting Truth and Merging Lies were both inspired by dreams, and many of the original elements of these dreams were kept as they were, or, to the best of my memory. Other stories have been inspired by text-based roleplaying games I engage in with my friends, or simply from my imagination when I think up something interesting. I may do occasional crossover type fanfics, typically having characters from one set of fiction take the roles of the characters of another set.

I am also sometimes lightly inspired by other fanfiction writers... Rarely I am even inspired by my own, boring life. I would have to say that my favorite fanfiction writer is NetRaptor. She's probably the most inspirational writer who's works I have read (and in hindsight she may have inspired me much more heavily than I realized). She's finally published her own novels (look here: !!). I've wanted to read them, but I suffer exteme executive dysfunction and have not yet. I do know however that her stories are realistic and believable, even with such unbeleivable fantasy elements, and they always stir up emotion within me. I really hope to read her published fiction sooner than later! (I'm so proud of her~!)

-Splitting Truth was inspired by a graphic dream I had at the age of... I'd say anywhere from 13 to 15, though I don't remember exactly. After having such an exelent dream, I let it sit in my mind and on paper idlely for quite awhile. Eventually, one day, I wanted to tell my dream to some friends, so I started to adjust the dream to make more sense, and revised it.

-The character of the Voice was inspired by a scene in Sonic Battle, as well as the music to White Jungle in Sonic Adventure 2.

-This was also inspired from a dream of mine.

-The first chapter of this story is almost the same as the first chapter of Splitting Truth. Afterward, everything changes.

-The only reason this story exists is because of The Voice. The subplot regarding him was what I built the entire story off of, but I tried to think of a main plot, something more interesting regarding Shadow, so others wouldn't be bored with it.

-This is the sequel to Merging Lies and Splitting Truth; it assumes both events happened.

Status: Chapter 6. (Unlike the prequels, this is not constrained to 10 chapters, so I don't know how long it will be. It may be twice the length. Assuming so, I'm estimating we're at 30% completed.) Hiatus.

Status: For now this has been completely scrapped, and I have decided I will remove it from the site. If I can successfully gather the inspiration I need to completely rework the story (more of a necessity than my own choice) it has been discontinued.

For years I desperately wanted to be a writer but I now lack the motivation to write often, and many various factors have led to discouragement and depression to where I have pretty much given up on that dream. I now write for fun whenever I'm not suffering lethargic bouts, distraction, or stuck at my retail job.

Unfortunately, many of the works of fanfiction (or even original fiction) which I have been most excited for likely can never be released for over time either various personal (or interpersonal) reasons. I am currently struggling to regain energy and incentive to write again despite this, as I have always wanted to show God's love and grace through my writing.
