I'm 33, single, and I have always had quite an imagination. I have three slash stories running through my head right now, which I'm currently writing. Five complete one shots. One other fic that is completely written. Can't my mind just let me be finished with one before it starts thinking of another? I have a few more in my head. I'm also helping OCDJen on her stories, so if my updates aren't as regular as I'd like them to be, that's why. My favorite character in the books is Alice. My VERY favorite character for fanfic is Jasper, duh. I mostly love Edward/Jasper slash. I, personally, found Bella to be whiny and irritating and weak in the books. The vampires and wolves were all cool though.

A couple of friends on here and I would like to make a Kill Bella off day. That would be awesome.

I don't read stories about cheating, period. If it's written well, great, but I still won't read it.

Pet peeves on this site are people that put author note's in the MIDDLE of the story. It goes at the beginning or the end, nowhere else. I will slap you upside the head if I see it. I'm not kidding.

Glad my sister got me into the fanfiction stuff, it makes a bad day at work tolerable. (She's into the Buffy fanfic, haha. I might have to try that out later, I loved that show. Although I don't think I could ever be as funny as Joss Whedon, I love him.)

My favorite authors: (at least the ones I can remember)

Stephenie Meyer (Twilight)

J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter)

Diana Gabaldon (Outlander series and absolute favorite author, I cried when I was done reading them because my friends were gone)

Jan Karon (Mitford series, absolutely hysterical)

I know there are some others I am forgetting here, but these must be my favorites since I remember who they are.

Love music, the only thing that I really hate is gangsta rap, gag me please. I don't like country either, it is usually irritating to me, usually if someone else sang the song in a non- country version, I almost always find it better. Maybe it's because I live in Texas and get really tired of hearing it... Currently I have a serious addiction to The Kills. They are a little strange, but that just makes it better. Love The Kooks, and some various other people, predominantly I've noticed I tend to like people from the UK more. I have yet to figure out why.

My friend told me after he saw my profile that I have to add more musicians than that, so here they are. Again at least the ones I can remember, I'm sure I'll miss someone great. The Kills, The Kooks, Bedouin Soundclash, The Black Keys (every time I hear them I like them more, not less), Mother Mother (weird band, all the songs are either crazy or about death), Lady Sovereign, Brett Dennen, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Muse, Faith and the Muse, most 80s music (it's my guilty pleasure), The Dead 60s, The D'ubervilles, 311, blink182, tantric, Placebo, A.F.I., Brandi Carlile (if you ever get to see her live, she is awesome, her live songs are much better than the edited ones, it ruins the soul of her voice, Tim and Phil and Josh that play with her are awesome too), Tegan and Sara, Northern State, City and Colour, Runrig and Flogging Molly. I tend to prefer indie music over the others, probably because they aren't overplayed and they can say exactly what they want. I didn't list any of the most famous bands or people on purpose because duh, that would just be stupid, as my friend would say.

I like movies, but there are very few that I'd actually watch more than once.

I love to travel. My favorite place to be though is Oregon, if I could move there right this second I would. Unfortunately, reality and all my family living here takes a bite out of that.

I've lived in many, many places, Texas being the predominant place. I've also lived in a variety of situations whether it was the country, the middle of nothing, the mountains, the inner city where I was afraid to go to school, another country or the country club. I was easily happy in each place and consider myself adaptable.

Hi all!

So happy to have my turn to recommend some great little fics, though I have had a job and a half going through them all. :)

There have been some of my faves already recommended on here and pimped to death, that I thought I would pimp out two little, golden, unknown fics and Authors.

My first is: Scares and Nightmares by Ealasaid77!

When Amy first told me about this fic, I got very excited, very fast. If any of you read my stuff you know I have a thing for the more heart breaking, more angsty fics. I really do get all happy when things start to go wrong. :)

This fic is not for the faint hearted. It deals with some real life experiences and how sick and twisted this world can really be. Having said that, there is also a strong message of hope and that things can and will get better.

Here's a snipet.

"Fine, except I didn't want to be here today, now did I?" I asked him bitingly. He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Okay Jasper, you didn't want to be here. Are you feeling any pain at all today?" He asked me.
"Only my arms, they feel like they are on fire. It's not like I can't deal with the pain though." I said. I'd lived through much, much worse.

"Jasper, I need to take a look at your wounds, if that's okay?" He asked me and I nodded. What did it matter now anyway? I was sure once I got out of here I'd do the same thing, only succeeding that time.

The doctor pulled the sheets back and pushed up the hospital gown looking at the old and fresh scars on my thighs. Tracing them his jaw clenched tight in anger. I'd seen that look, but where? "Do I know you?" I asked him.

Shaking his head no he said "No, I don't think so." Then he looked as though he was debating something berfore he leaned down and whispered in my ear "But I think I know what you're going through."

He unwrapped my arms and took a look at the long gashes I'd left there. They'd be ugly things for sure, but as I didn't plan on living much longer it didn't matter. I knew I had stitches where the deeper gashes were so he didn't cover them back up instead letting them heal with the air over them.

Then the doctor pressed against my belly feeling all around. I assumed he was seeing by hand if I'd done too much damage to my liver. I guess what he saw so far was a relief to him, but he told me he wanted to order more tests to make sure. I wanted to tell him not to bother, it wouldn't make any difference. I chose to keep my mouth shut as long as possible knowing they'd never let me out if they thought I would go back and do that again immediately.

So there you have it. Run, don't walk and read these two awesome little fics!

Aaaand we're back! We're on a roll, people! Three weeks in a row ;-) Anyway...The Captain and I are here to bring you the best we could find, so don't forget to grab a towel, and perhaps a kleenex or two. First up, here's the Captain!

Last week, OCDJen rec'ed a fic called Scars and Nightmares by Ealasaid77. I haven't read just for kicks in a long time, but something just pulled me into that one. I wasn't able to stop reading until I had finished all the posted chapters... And then I just had to read more. Luckily, she's writing another slash story...one I again couldn't put down. This one is called Strange Desire: Jasper and Edward and was initially intended as a one-shot...that just kept growing. I'm certainly glad it did, because I'm loving her Edward and Jasper.

They've been friends for over twenty years. Jasper was orphaned at a young age, and adopted by Carlisle and Esme Cullen. Edward was kicked out by his parents in junior high, and taken in by the Cullens. The reasons for all of this get explained along the way.

Edward and Jasper have not just been friends, they've been best friends. Jasper doesn't have many people in his life, as being around them takes a lot out of him. Edward does have a lot of friends, except...Jasper doesn't know them and they don't know Jasper. Why? Because Edward is bi, and madly in love with Jasper - only he's never let on; he thinks Jasper is straight as an arrow...and so does Jasper. Edward accidentally gets outed though, when Jasper walks in on him jacking off while watching gay porn.

"Edward… it's okay." I finally found the words to put his mind at ease even if mine wasn't. "We are still friends. I just wished you had told me that you were gay." Although that didn't explain the many girls I had seen with him through the years and absolutely zero guys. He hadn't dated anyone in almost as long as I had. His job as a doctor in the ER I think was too stressful and unpredictable for most people to stick around for long. Sometimes even I went days without seeing him.

"Jasper… I'm not gay. I like both men and women." He finally breathed out. Okay, well that explained some of it, but why had I never seen any guys?

"Edward, why haven't I seen you with any guys?" I asked him curiously.

He shrugged and said "They were just for quick fucks. I rarely slept with the same guy twice, and if I did it was in the same twenty-four hour period. I never wanted to be with any of them in a relationship."

"Why?" I asked him.

"Um… well, you know I have unrequited love for Bella and now that she is happily together with Jacob, it just seemed like I'd never have the relationship I wanted." Edward told me.

"What about a guy? You don't feel the same way about any guy?" I asked him still confused.

"I do feel that way about a guy. I want to be with him more than I've ever wanted to be with anyone, but he doesn't feel the same way." He told me and I was instantly angered by the person that wouldn't be with him. Why wouldn't they?

"Jasper, this person is not gay and that is a huge problem." Edward told me.

I looked down when my heart did an instant little happy flip that he was still mine. Whoa… where'd that come from? I wasn't gay, or never thought I was. I had had very few dreams where I was with a guy, but every last one of them Edward was in. I just assumed it was because we were close and nothing more. I did get a little jealous when he brought girls home, but I thought it was because I was jealous of the sex he was getting and I wasn't. Now that I was thinking it through though, I realized no, I was jealous that they were having sex with Edward and not me having sex with him. Shit, shit, shit. What was I supposed to do with this?

"Well… how do you know they aren't gay?" I finally choked out when I came back to myself.

Edward raised a brow at me and said "I've never seen him with a guy or seen him do or say anything that would make me think he would welcome my advances."

I just stared at him incredulously and finally said "I didn't know you played for both teams until today Edward and I've known you twenty-four years."

What happens next probably isn't hard to guess, but if you think that's all there is to this story, think again. The boys go through a lot of ups and downs - to the point where they almost lose it all. Not just once, but twice.

Ealasaid77 weaves a good tale, bringing a lot of things to light that most of us often times forget - or simply don't think about at all. I love that she does it, and she does it with subtlety rather than in your face or over the top. Oh, and have I mentioned yet that the lemons are fuck hot and plenty? No? Well, believe me, they are. On both counts. Again though, she uses the lemons to show things some of us wouldn't even think about, and also to help develop the characters. Y'all know I love a good lemon...but I love it even more when they're not superfluous.

There you have it, folks. Another week, another couple of fuckawesome stories to read. We hope you enjoy them, and if you do be sure to leave these wonderful authors some well-deserved lovin'. See you next week!

Strange Desire

So often in fanfiction we come across stories of unrequited love between canon and non-canon couples. Strange Desire by Ealasaid77 explores the unrequited love and strong bond between Edward and Jasper. It’s a beautiful tale that will immediately capture your heart.

I absolutely love this story! Not only does it contain plenty of incredible lemons, but it also examines issues of sexuality, illness, miscommunication, friendship, acceptance, and love. Your heart will swell and break for these two, but you will always root for them! Strange Desire is one story that you do not want to overlook!

The Major's Army Interview

Hey ya'll! Lt. Agget here for another Interrogation! I know I was AWOL for the past two weeks, but The Major had mercy on me, cause I had some sick kids. But now, I'm back and raring to go!

Today, I bring ya'll a lovely slash writer called Ealasaid77. She writes smoking hot Edward/Jasper fics such as Scars and Nightmares, The Cellar Door, and she did a freaking brilliant tearjerker one shot called Goodbye, My Angel. Ealasaid77 writes her characters with such depth and emotion, all the while keeping them real. It's truly a pleasure reading her work.

And so begins the interrogation of Ealasaid77...

1- First things first-Why do you like to write about Jasper?

Honestly, in the books I liked him okay, but Alice was my favorite. What got me into him is reading fanfic with Jasper in it. It didn't take long until I was far more hooked on him than anyone else. He's usually a real man, that's why I enjoy him the most. I'm not sure why I like writing him the most other than I just do. In my head, he's always more attractive both inside and out than any of the other characters.

2- How did you get into fanfiction?

My sister kept telling me that I'd enjoy it, for years she's been telling me that. I thought I'd hate it. Only people with no life read and write this shit, right? That may be true for some, but I enjoy the lack of fade to black scenes that you normally get in regular fiction. After reading the Twilight books so many times, I decided to give fanfic a chance and maybe find a stronger Bella. The free entertainment value was definitely a plus, as well, in this economy. Then I started writing, as I used to write when I was younger. I never thought it would amount to anything and yet I've kept going. Writing has improved my grammar quite a bit, as well as anyone else that writes. What you should really ask is what got me into slash. I started with stories about Jasper/Edward/Bella, and gradually weeded Bella out. I also feel as if my gay friends should have stories, too. Let's face it, if it's not in fanfic or erotica, you are unlikely to find any story with gay characters as the main ones.

3- Give us some of your favorite stories.

Stories are hard to pick out. I read mostly slash with Jasper/Edward as the characters, unless I already know and love the author. If you've written about them and I haven't reviewed it, then I haven't read it. That doesn't mean I won't, if it's good, it just means I'll get to it later. I love HP/DM stories, too. I'm still making my way through otta's spreadsheet, hehe.

I like crackfic and darkfic more than any others, just because most never dare go there. A good crackfic can make a very bad day much better. I don't really love syrupy stuff, kind of makes me nauseous to read it.

There are so many author's I like that have written more than one thing. You guys should all know by now I love OCDJen's work, even when she uses angst more than me. She's my girl. Nisa Cullen, aka, my twitter stalker, has a new story out called 'Hidden Thoughts' that's only four chapters in, she made me the bartender in the third chapter. If you read it, and know me, you'd know how hilariously ironic that is. 'If on a Winter's Night' by Touchstone67 is the fic that has stolen my heart for the moment.

Diana Gabaldon is, hands down, my favorite real life author.

4- Where does your writing inspiration come from?

Mostly my dreams or music. They heavily influence everything I say, whether I acknowledge it or not. Sometimes conversations I have with people will inspire something, but that's far more rare for me.

5- Tell us about yourself-anything you’d like to share.

Ahem, I do NOT wear cowboy hats. That goes out to my twitter stalker that thinks I should. You shall never see me write lol on any damn thing, if you do, then it didn't come from me. When you use that in normal speech, then it's time to stop. Phenomenal. I absolutely hate that word. Not that there is anything wrong with the word itself. What's wrong with it is people overusing a word that should be reserved for something that actually is... phenomenal, which is almost never. People have a tendency to use it for everything. Argh!!! Anything truly personal that you want to know about me, just ask. I doubt I'll put it here for posterity. People can find you far too easily. A warning though, I am extremely blunt, so if you want to be coddled, don't come to me.

6- What's your favorite thing about the fandom?

The amazing people I've met. That's what's kept me here more than anything else. There is some pettiness with some people, but I have made some good friends here. They've gotten me through some rough stuff in my life. All of those people actually know who they are. *a big hug to all of them*

7- Any advice you could give to new writers?

Hmm... I'd say find a prereader and a beta, good ones are hard to come by though. When you find one you love and trust, don't let them go and don't piss them off. However, if you read my stuff you'd know I don't use a beta, and only sometimes use a prereader when I'm uncertain about something. Maybe some different advice then? Keep notes, a lot of them. I probably have as many notes on what I write or will write as scenes, sentences, or story lines drop into my head as I do the amount of work you actually get to see. As soon as something enters your head, try to get it written down somewhere before you lose it. You may not remember later and it may be what keeps your fic from being lackluster.

Also, I suggest holding on to things instead of getting so excited you post right away after writing something. Don't do it, slap yourself before you do it. I'm serious. Step away from the computer, come back later and go over it again. People can tell when you rush shit. Most things I've gone over at least six times, if not more, before posting. Never, ever, delete the whole thing when you are frustrated before letting another pair of eyes look at it. Make sure the person is blunt, and not just someone who goes along with everything you say, and doesn't want to hurt your feelings. One, you'll never be a better writer that way. Two, it will come back to bite you in the ass later if someone isn't honest with you.

Take constructive criticism to heart and learn the difference between that and flames. Criticism is good, if it has any basis in truth and can help you, so don't get offended. Ignore flames completely, if you give them attention they come back twice as hard.

Write for yourself alone. If you do, that will make you happier than trying to change it to others expectations. You do this of your own free will and will only be happy if it's what you want. Not that others can't help you make something better or have good ideas, just don't let them derail you and where you are going.

You may need to find people to do a Writer's Challenge with to get you pumped about writing. However, turning everything off is usually better, no distractions.

It's a damn good read. And it kinda gives me a stomach ache, you feel for them so much.

Okay, folks. I’m giving you fair warning. Bring out a box of Kleenex before you settle down for this read. Ealasaid77 has written something beautiful, that despite its brevity will bring you to tears. I know it did me. In Goodbye, My Angel, you see Edward as he lays his husband to rest. You get to hear about how they met, and lived. Feel the bond that they shared.

Short as the story is, it is no less powerful for it. There isn’t much I can tell you about it, due to the length of it, because then I’d give too much away. I will encourage you to read for yourself, as it touches upon things you or I might take for granted. It certainly does make you think.

And cry.

Definitely cry.

Their first meeting, however, will make you smile, so I will give you that much. There’s more though, so be sure to check it out, and leave Ealasaid77 some love. And maybe a hug or two.

My angel's eyes spotted me watching him in stunned awe. He came closer to me and I shook, not knowing what to say or do, afraid I'd fuck it up. I couldn't figure out why it would matter, I didn't plan to give myself to anyone ever again, in any capacity.

As he stepped up to about a foot in front of me, he tilted his head and waited for me to say something. All the while with that brilliant smile. The only thing I managed to stumble out was, "My angel." I wasn't even sure he heard it, until his smile became impossibly wider.

"I'm no angel, beautiful," he denied

Tell us a little about yourself?

I'm blunt, and try not to come across mean, but I am honest. If you want to get to know me better, just ask me. I won't bite, at least not fatally. I'm also a little weird... you won't notice at first, but I really am.

How did you get involved with FanFiction?

After reading the Harry Potter and Twilight books too many times, I decided I needed to branch out. My sister had been trying to get me into fanfiction for years already. One day I started reading some fanfic on another site, and eventually found this one. This one seemed to have the most, so I stayed and kept reading. When I started writing, I wrote canon. Right now I'm not even sure why I started actually writing as opposed to just reading. I never even thought I'd have more than one idea. However, I used to write when I was younger, all the time. All my other stories are slash and will probably remain so.

What inspired you to write this story?

Hmm... The Cellar Door? That was for OCDJen, for her birthday. Her story took me two months to write, while I didn't work on anything else. Honestly, I never thought it would turn into a full, short fic. It was only meant to be about 6k, and turned into over 30k. Of course, because Jen is my favorite person here, I had to make sure it was as perfect as I could get it.

What sites do you post on?

Fanfiction.net The other ones I rarely update, so I'll just say this one.

Has this story been nominated or won any awards?

This story? No. Some of my others? They have been nominated, never won anything.

Do you have any other stories or any in the works?

I have two T rated one shots called Promises and Goodbye, My Angel. Both of them are sad, but with hope. All the others are under M rated. Blood Lips is Jasper/Edward slash, with a bit of a threesome thrown in with Bella. None of my other stories are written that way. NO WORDS was written for hmm... the person's birthday that asked to interview The Cellar Door, hehe. Those are all one shots. However, every story I've written started out as a one shot, and rarely remain one. Scars and Nightmares is a hard one to read, just as a fair warning. Strange Desire is my baby and my first slash story that I'm still working on. I Ain't Playin' Your Game is the one I have the most fun with, it's fluffy, in a way, but without being sickeningly sweet.

What stories are you reading right now that you love?

If on a Winter's Night, now that story is powerful. Anything funny or dark is most likely to draw me in. If it's too high on the syrup I'll eventually flounce. I do the same thing if the angst is off the charts. Some people go so overboard on the angst I feel like I'm reading a 13 year old girl's emotions and as I read pretty much just slash... Yeah, it bugs me.

If you could have lunch with any Twilight fanfiction author who would it be and why?

Well, OCDJen of course. If she ever comes to visit me like she says she is, then I will. She's the closest friend I have in the fandom. Naelany too, we have some good private conversations, and I want to live where she lives now.

If you could put any Twilight character with any other fictional character, who would it be and why?

Hmm... I've never really thought about it too much. Jasper and Spike (from Buffy), maybe? That would be cool. Hint, hint. Ahem, you know who you are. (*hangs head* It will get done one day *Miss Sarah*)

Some of that is rehashed of a previous interview I've done. I will add something to it though. Number one, please stop starting every sentence with I. If more than half your fic starts a sentence with I, you need to rethink your sentence structure, even if it's in first person. Number two, and I can't take credit for this one (this came from a friend of mine), but maybe a light bulb will go off in your head when you see it...

"Let's eat grandma," or "Let's eat, grandma." All it takes is one one comma placement to save grandma from being eaten and the grandchildren from becoming cannibals. Please, people, remember that when you get confused.

Quick... tell something random?

My favorite food is, hands down, popcorn.

Choosing just one story from this amazing author was hard. Ealasaid77 has some amazing stories.

It thanks in part to Ealasaid77 that I decided to stick around the fandom and read and write slash myself, she was one of the first authors to ever answer a PM from me on ffn and she put me in touch with OCDJen, whom this particular was written for.

The story deals with Edward breaking up with his boyfriend James, and what a nasty piece of work he is. James just happens to be Jasper's brother. Both of our boys end up being hurt by James' actions, I won't tell you what exactly he does, you'll just have to read it yourself. The story is complete, so no waiting for updates.

Ealasaid77 has an amazing way with words, she pulls you right into the story and keeps you gripped. I was that gripped I forgot to review because I just wanted to jump straight into the next chapter.

Along with this story Ealasaid77 has some wonderful other stories posted. NO WORDS was actually written for my birthday, and yes I did squee when I found out she wrote something for lil ole me.

Another great multi chap she is working on now is I Ain't Playin' Your Game. What I love about this one is Jasper will just not give in admit he likes Edward, it's funny, witty and I can't wait for more.

Here's a sneak peak at chapter one

"No. The answer is still no," was my reply. Alice drove me nuts sometimes. She was my sister, but as soon as she found out I was gay she automatically wanted to become my fag hag. Most of the time I just wanted to kill her. Don't get me wrong, I had female friends, that were friends because they just were, not a single one of them would I consider a fag hag. Hell, I never thought I needed one, but Alice insisted. Yes, one day I would mow her down if I could.

"Please?" Okay, now she was starting to whine like the little annoying sister I knew her to be.

Sighing I asked, even though I knew it would be bad for my health, "Why?"

The smile that crept across her lips outshone the Cheshire cat's. Now I was worried. Why did I bother to ask? "I think you'd like him, he's blond, blue eyed, beautiful, just like I know you like. He actually looks a lot like James, but I actually like him." Aha, she finally admitted that she didn't like James. I knew it.

In the back of my mind I wondered if it was James' brother, he had a twin. They weren't identical, I knew, but he said they looked a lot alike. I never knew his name. I'd never met any of James' relatives for that matter. That was one reason I didn't trust him. He just said they weren't on speaking terms anymore, but I knew for a fact that he was living with his brother before James moved in with me. Well no, not moved in, infiltrated. I never asked him to move in, it just gradually happened, until one day he no longer went home. Sometimes I wondered how the hell that happened, how did he end up in my house? There was no excuse for that, I would never have allowed it before. It almost seemed like I just didn't give a shit, maybe I didn't. James was easy, no emotional connection. He was not someone I would have sought out for that fact alone, but my previous serious boyfriend was so emotional that I thought I had whiplash. I couldn't take anymore of that, so I sought out the person furthest removed from it, James. That worked for a while. Now though... the only reason I was still with him was his looks, so sue me. The sex wasn't even good enough for me to stick around, but I did. Or at least the sex wasn't good anymore, either that or I was over any kind of lust I'd ever felt towards him. We hadn't been fucking for a while. It was official, the more I thought about my relationship with James, the more I thought I'd lost my fucking mind.

At some point Alice had begun talking again; not only did I not hear it, I didn't even hear the drone of her voice in the background. When I tuned back in again I heard her say, "... but you probably should know he still has a boyfriend right now that he tells me he's madly in love with." What? Then why was she trying to set me up with this person?

"Alice," I practically growled out her name, "why are you wanting to set me up with someone that is already happily dating?" Crossing my arms I glared at her, daring her to give me a good reason.

"I think if you just met him that you'd hit it off," she defended.

"So Alice, what you are saying is you want me to meet this person and basically both of us to cheat to be together?" Raising my brows in disbelief at her I willed her to deny it.

"No, but I think if you knew there was someone better out there you'd get rid of James. Besides, I just want you to meet him. I don't think he'd be able to date someone else for a while, even if he left that guy. They are pretty serious," she responded. Groaning in irritation, I turned and headed for the door.

"Where the fuck are you going, Edward? I wasn't done talking," Alice demanded.

"Home, where I belong, not the twilight zone," I told her, turning the door handle.

I will try to keep up with these as I can, so I don't lose them. Helps me to remember why I write in the first place.
