![]() Author has written 4 stories for Final Fantasy I-VI, Lord of the Rings, and Golden Sun. Hey, I'm Reasons of Heart. I'm into Lord of the Rings, Legend of Zelda, Naruto, Final Fantasy (IV and VI), Golden Sun, and Fire Emblem, but primarily Final Fantasy. Okay, maybe I'm a little obsessed with Final Fantasy IV and VI. I mean looking through every page of Final Fantasy I-IV to find the best stories is a little crazy. Getting through all of the archive is manageable because it's only about 106 pages of stories to look through rather than the thousands that other archives have. FF games I actually played through: FF Tactics, FFI-III, FFIV, FFV, FFVI FF games I'm familiar with the story: FFVII (except for advent children), FFXII, FFXIII (all three) Favorite Genre: Adventure Recent games played but don't like most of the fanfic for: Rune Factory, Overwatch, Pokemon (have played many of them, most recent Sword) Mini Q&A: 1. Do you have any other literary interests besides games? ... Oh, I like to learn languages, besides knowing English and French, I am trying to be more proficient in Chinese (Mandarin) and various related dialects. 2. How do you get motivated to write? Usually random bouts of inspiration when I have downtime. Also, an outline is good to develop if already have inspiration. And though I don't draw well (can't do digiart or anything fancy), sometimes drawing a sketch of the main characters of a story motivates me because it helps me to visualize their personality. If you are creating an OC as a protagonist, it is very important to have an image of them in your mind. Well, at least for me. Updates: Guess what? 2020. I plan to update everything I have on ff at least once. I already revised and updated FoGW 7/1/20. Next, on the list is probably The Psychoanalyst to stay in verse. If not, it'll be Uncharted Isles because that one's the easiest for me to write. Current Stories: (in the order of importance) The Fate of Gaia's Wrath - Final Fantasy IV. Slightly AU, but loosely follows the original plot. Darkness is rising not only in Baron, but the entire world. The motivation to end the rapid expansion exists wholeheartedly. But if there is any hope of vanquishing it, the Warriors of Light must first stayed united. The fine thread of fate blows loosely in the wind, only to be caught by Titan's angry fist. So why the AU? Personally, I don't think Kain is well understood. By changing some of the events and adding a few OCs, I think we can learn more about him and the evident CecilxRosaxKain tensions can be eased (the latter part will be hard to do). I like the minor characters like Yang, Yang's wife, and Tellah. I want their story to shine as well. Status: I've posted up to Chapter 6 on 7/1/20! This is the first action part of the plot I would consider. Anyway, I'm looking forward to characterizing Rydia in the next chapter or so. For Aria, it'll take her a little longer because I have to explain some of her complicated past. Also, I'm assuming that Kain/Cecil's journey began a lot earlier than Aria started her training. I have random chapters of this done in no particular order. This one's priority, so I'll be updating this one the most frequently. The Outcasts - LoTR. Theodred is dead. Theodred is dead. Eowyn wept bitterly. For she was alone. Truely alone. For Eomer to lose a man he dearly loved as a brother made him never the same. He would be at war with Mordor, with Saruman, with whoever dealt this grievous blow until his soul rested in peace. But there was more to the story. Theodred's body wasn't found yet. Basically, this one's about getting to know Theodred better, exploring the unexplored lands of the east, and sorting out Airelyn's complicated past. Status: I haven't updated for a long time, but if I make sufficient progress on The Fate of Gaia's Wrath, I will try to update this one after. It will take me a bit of time to be back in this fandom again (will see an update if I update all the other stories). Basically, the status is that the story's not abandoned. It's just a bigger undertaking than I would have realized. Warning: This story is probably my darkest yet and multiple character deaths are expected. The Psychoanalyst - FFIV. There was only one person who could do the job. I mean mending the psychological states of the Warriors of Light once they returned. I told them it's best if they let out all their pain rather than keeping it inside. In turn, they told me how everything would have been different if they had. Yes, I'm talking about Anna. Since Anna is still alive, this story's an AU. I bet life would be much more interesting if someone told her what she missed while she was presumed dead. I suppose that makes it a bit of a novelization. Here's my attempt at pulling out all the funny parts of FFIV. Maybe I'll forget the psychology since I'm beginning to forget most of it from two years ago. But at the same time, I like to make fun of Sigmund Freud and the psychoanalytical perspective. Do I care that there are no reviews? No, not really. This work is experimental. I'm not great at writing humor but it's worth a try. Status: Will update probably concurrently with The Fate of Gaia's Wrath since they are both novelizations anyway. The Uncharted Isles - GS TLA and DD. Basically it answers the question how did Alex and Veriti meet. When it the origin of Amiti was first exposed, I thought it seemed so random. But then it brought up some interesting philosophical questions. Could someone as cold and calculating as Alex ever love someone and why was he in Ayuthay in the first place? Has some political intrigue and a little drama if you're into that. Also, slight romance since it is truthshipping. Motivation for writing it so far: Amiti is such a cute child. I don't want his lineage to be convoluted or too sad or it would make me sad too. In truth, I actually want to see heartwarming interaction between Amiti and his dad ...not realistic... not gonna happen. Status: I have 7 chapters written, but I have my outline so theoretically I could finish this one if I was really motivated. Update soon? I actually have a pending chapter 8, but I am unsure about it because I don't want Veriti's path to be too obvious. I have to tread carefully if we're doing a political intrigue story. I'm still going strong with this story, but just so you know, I have a different version that characterizes Alex a bit better. Future ideas: 1. This is probably not a completely original idea, but I'm thinking of writing something about an academy in Baron where Rosa, Cecil, Kain, Aria (my OC), and Anna attended together at least in some part of their early life. Maybe I'll cut down on some of those characters. After all, I can't do everyone's POV. Status: Not started, contingent on finishing my novelizations. 2. FFVI novelization from Terra's perspective. It is, in my opinion the best Final Fantasy, after all. I really admire novelizations that exist for this game since I'm not sure if I could motivate myself to do it. Another spin-off could be an idea I got from Caves of Narshe a while back in which Locke took too long and Shadow had to recruited to save Terra at Narshe. Another AU: Pre-canon. Terra grows up in Thamasa raised by Strago, being fully an adult when Gestahl finds and captures her. She will also interact with Relm and Shadow earlier on. Contains a theory that Terra is actually older than how she appears humanly due to being half-esper. Status of all three: Not started except for the last one. 3. I've looked at some very old fanfics, which tend to focus on Kefka's insanity or the abuse he suffered from as a child. I read one from 2002 called "The Rape of Tzen" that was very shocking indeed. Of course, my initial thoughts were about the genocide of the Nanking Massacre and then I felt the connection between the two horrific events that struck me with the senselessness and brutality of these acts. This could end up being a very dark story, but it would be interesting to trace the causes of Kefka's nihilism and madness back to a particular hatred of Tzenian monarchy and the corruption of his mind by esper infusions. I distinctly remember one of the Tzenian villagers saying that all the Tzenian royal family was killed. Sounds like genocide to me (not to make light of the Nanking Massacre). Status: A few chapters written and it includes a theory of two Gestahls (father and son). 4. The Uchihas need some real attention. No, not fangirls hanging off their legs. So that's why I was thinking of making a story about some half-blood Uchihas running around, assuming Danzo left them alive in the Uchiha Massacre. I don't believe that Sasuke was responsible enough to take care of himself as a young child. If Naruto had Iruka, Sasuke must of had a caretaker in his life. This caretaker is more Uchiha than she thinks and that puts her in conflict with Itachi. Status: One chapter written. Likely will not pursue any Naruto ff. | |||||||
