I have recently graduated from Utah State University, and am Finally working and settling into my first 'grown up' job. Now that my schedule has settled down, I set aside some time each week to do some writing. I have been reading Harry Potter fanfiction for years and enjoy a well written story. I will continue to write on my stories as a venue for stress relief, but my updates will not be as quick as they have been in the past.

I have several stories outlined on paper and a couple plot bunnies fighting to get out. I have them written down, but plan on focusing on Winter's Child, as that seems to be the most popular of my stories. If you have any questions, or something confuses you in any of my stories, feel free to PM me, and I will answer.

I am an 'anti' Harry & Ginny and will probably never write one. In fact, the more stories I read, and exposure I have to the world of Fan Fiction, the more I find that I enjoy a good Weasley bashing story. I find the characters of Ron and Ginny almost...offensive... If Harry should have ended up with anyone in the books, it should have been Hermione.

I do want to let you know that all feed back is welcome, praise, criticism, telling me my spelling or grammar stinks, anything at all.

I was surprised at the reaction to the first chapter that I posted. I wasn't expecting that many reviews in two days, and to have all but one be encouraging. I have read authors notes saying that reviews are almost like a drug, and I didn't get it until I got some. Now I understand how reviews make an author happy. So please, feel free to leave me a review.

I have decided to start posting two other stories that I have been working on over the last several months. Both stories are of epic length. Each should be close to 100k in words. I will be working on both as time goes on, and will try and update each at least twice a month. If I find that one story is more popular than the other then I will focus my updates on the more popular story to three times a month and the other once a month.

The two stories are 'Harry Potter and the Winters Child' and 'Harry Potter and the Power He Knows Not'. Winters Child will be a Harry/Daphne story where Harry was kicked out by his uncle when he was very young and found his way to Diagon Alley and made friends with a young Daphne Greengrass. The Power He Knows Not will be about an older Harry who was raised by Sirius until he was 14 when Sirius was killed. It will highlight how being a marauder and thinking outside the wizarding box will help him defeat Riddle. I do not have a pairing in the one as of yet, but am leaning toward Harry/Hermione, maybe Harry/Susan, but not sure how a Harry Susan would work...

05 Mar 2014 - I have noticed a much greater interest in Winter's Child and so will focus my time and efforts to that story. I will still be posting to Power, but at a much slower time frame than Winter's Child.

06 Mar 2014 - I have decided to take down the Power He Knows Not story. After reading it a few more times I have decided that there is a better way to present the story. One that is not so cliche. So I am going to take it, put it in the blender, toss in a few strawberries, add some ice cubes and a dash of sarcastic attitude and see what comes out. I will add an authors note to the same effect when I re-post it next week.

12 Mar 2014 - I am posting a story I have been considering for the last couple months. It is called Harry Potter and the Nature of Magic. While it is a time travel fanfic, it is different enough that it won't seem recycled. Please read and review and follow as fate uses Harry as her personal chew toy.

On a different note - I have published all the chapters of Winter's Child I have written so far, so the updates will fall back to every other week. I am also planning to post to Nature of Magic every other week, so they will both make progress to completion. I have both stories outlined and plotted out so check back weekly for your update fix.

28 Mar 2014 - I need to apologize to everyone. I had the next couple chapters written for Nature of Magic and Winter’s Child as well, and stored on a flash drive along with a good amount of my school work from the last few years. Then like the almost brilliant person I am, I left the drive in the computer lab up on campus. Needless to say it was not turned in, and I was unable to find it. So I have had to re-write the chapters for both stories. I’d blame genetics, but we all know that would be a lie.

01 Apr 2014 - I found the first fan fiction I wrote over the summer on my laptop, and decided to publish it for April Fools Day. It is a definite one shot where Harry pranks the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Enjoy!

08 Apr 2014 - I have had two small plot bunnies jumping around my head recently. One is going to be comprised of as many stupid ways for Voldemort to die as I can think of, and the other will be a series of short fic-lettes where in Ginny keeps trying to kiss Harry, and Harry keeps avoiding it - we'll see how this one goes.

I have decided to post the beginnings of the other two stories that I have started. First will be Harry Potter and the Traveler, which is another time travel fiction. The second is named Harry Potter and the Monster Within, which tells the story of Harry, who found his animagus form while very young, but must fight constantly to control the monster side that is brought with it. I hope you enjoy both, and will be updating each of my 4 main stories once a month each. My smaller little fic-lettes will be for when I need a break or get stuck, or just want to toss a grenade into a cauldron to see what happens. :-)

09 Apr 2014 - Does anyone know of a website that will help me with writing an angry Minerva McGonagall? You know, where her Scottish accent comes out? I have a couple very specific scenes where Minerva’s temper will get away from her, but need help translating/writing it well. Please PM or message me.

28 May 2014 - Thank you for your patience as the last month has been a whirl wind of finals, graduation, and job hunting. I have the next chapter for Winter's Child finished and sent to my editor/beta for review. I hope to have it back tomorrow and posted. I will also be writing Winter's Child as one large book instead of breaking the story up. I have posted a new poll dealing with Ginny Weasley and her part in the story. Please take a minute and participate in the poll. I anticipate getting to year 2 in the next couple months, so need to decided how her part will play in the story.

02 July 2014 - I have a job, and my schedule is settled, I have also set aside some time each week for writing, so the stories will continue. I am going to focus on Winter's Child, but will throw the odd ball chapter at some of my other stories as time goes on. As a side note, I am going to take out the Winter's Lord sneak peek, as it causes some confusion and discontent. If you didn't get a chance to read it, and want to, PM me, and I will send you a copy to read.

05 Aug 2014 - Thank you for your patients everyone, I promise you will not be disappointed. My schedule has settled, and I will be writing for about 30 minutes a day during my lunch. I anticipate posting 2 chapters a month, or as often as I can. Again, thank you for your patients while my life has taken a couple really awesome turns (graduation and employment). I do have a couple one-shots that came to me while pondering my stories, and I will probably write them out before I loose them, but they will not be multi-chapter stories. But Winter's Child takes precedence.
