Author has written 61 stories for Big Time Rush. Okay, so it's kind of odd that I like Big Time Rush at all given how usually I poke fun at and have such disdain for people who get their start via Nickelodeon or Radio Disney or things of that sort. But what can I say? The show's good. The music's good. Or maybe it's just that there's nothing else good on at that time slot... If I had to say what my three favorite recording artists/bands are, then in no particular order, they would be Jason Mraz, Big Time Rush, and Kris Allen. If you stretched it out to five, then I would add (again in no particular order) Simple Plan and Yellowcard to the list. As for television, again I have a pretty ecclectic taste when it comes to shows that I like. You can't really pin it down to one specific genre of TV shows. Some of my favorite shows that are more current are Big Time Rush, Dancing With the Stars, American Idol, The Voice, Penguins of Madagascar, Glee, Survivor, Big Brother, Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, The Secret Circle, Teen Wolf, CSI, CSI: Miami, So You Think You Can Dance, New Girl, Victorious, iCarly, and Family Guy. As for movies, surprise, surprise you cannot pin it down to one genre. Although, I'll tell you one genre I do NOT do when it comes to movies: horror. Let's see I'm a fan of those comic book-turned-movie movies. I'm a fan of movies that take place back in medieval times (you know, with dragons, wizards, elves, dwarves, and things like that). I'm a fan of musicals. Oh, and I'm a huge Twilight fan too! I loved Joyful Noise. I used to be a pretty serious gamer, but now, not so much. I still play video games. Just not as often. I'm a huge RPG fan though. Specifically Final Fantasy. It all goes back to me being a sucker for all things medieval. My second favorite genre when it comes to video games would probably be racing games. My dream job is to be a singer, but right now, I'm a cashier at a Wal-Mart Supercenter. Let's see. My favorite BTR character is Logan. My favorite characters usually end up being the ones I can relate to the best and/or the comic relief characters. From favorite to least favorite, I'd rank the guys of BTR as follows: Logan, Carlos, James, Kendall. James seems a bit too self-absorbed. In Season 1, Kendall to me was so perfect that he was boring. IMO, the first time his character had flaws was in the second season premiere "Welcome Back Big Time." In that episode, he was all jealous and insecure, but at least it shattered his perfect image, and made me like him more as a character. As far as singing is concerned, I'd rank the guys of BTR as follows: Logan, Carlos, James, Kendall. "Intermission" just confirms my belief that Logan is the best singer. Have you heard it yet? It's totally a Logan song. He sings the majority of it. James may be the best singer, but IMO, he oversings. Logan and Carlos, ESPECIALLY Logan are the two most underrated singers in BTR. It's a shame they don't have more solos than they do. It's a shame how they don't get to sing the lead as much as Kendall and James. It kind of reminds me of how nauseated I got watching the High School Musical movies, because it became The Troy and Gabriella Show, and everyone else kind of faded into the background. Or in Glee, how that is pretty much the Rachel and Finn show, and all the other people in Glee Club kind of take a backseat to them. It's the same way in BTR. Carlos and Logan take a backseat to James and Kendall. It's sickening really. As far as couples are concerned, I like Kendall/Jo, but I LOVE Logan/Camille. Although James and Camille ruined that for me in 'Big Time Girlfriends' and I haven't been the same since... My favorite bromance/slash is Carlos/Logan, or Cargan. My second favorite bromance/slash would have to be James/Logan or Jagan, ESPECIALLY after 'Big Time Sneakers.' The Jagan moments in the episode were a total WIN! I feel like they totally made the episode. Then 'Big Time Songwriters' So...much...Jagan...Kogan was the first BTR bromance/slash I fell in love with, but now it is a distant third... I'm not totally opposed to slash. I mean I'll read it. It's just most of the time, slash fics are so unrealistic. It's like "so-and-so wakes up one day and realizes that he has feelings for so-and-so." Blah, blah, blah. It's practically the same story every time. I personally don't believe people just wake up one day gay. I don't believe people just wake up one day and are like, "Hey, I think I love my best friend who happens to be a guy!" It may be a personal preference, but I'm more of a fan of relationships that grow and develop over time. Like there might be that spark at first sight or whatever, but the more time spent around that person, the stronger the bond, the stronger the attachment becomes. I kind of feel like Logan is the heart of the band, and no, I'm not just saying that because he's my favorite. It seems like a lot of people close to him are fiercely protective of him. Part of the reason could be because he is "so scared of everything." Anyways, I'm so not a part of BTR's target demographic, but meh, who cares? I started a C2 Community for Logan/Camille fics. If you'd like to be a part of my staff, PM me, and I'll be glad to accomodate you. Frankly, I'll need all the help I get. I don't come on here often enough, and the last thing I want is for some great Logan/Camille fics to slip through the cracks... Miss Fenway is my fan fiction wife. Yes, that means I'm a dude... I have a bad case of FCMD--Favorite Character Mutilation Disorder. I'm sorry Logan...and Carlos...but mostly Logan... Awards and Nominations 2011 BTR fic award for Best Humor Story "My Best Friend Is a Vampire" Oh, the irony... 2011 BTR fic award for Best Logan/Camille Romance Story "Big Time Disaster" Nominated for 2011 BTR fic award for Best Logan/Camille Romance Story "Til I Forget About You" Nominated for 2011 BTR fic award for Best Logan/Camille One-Shot "Three Little Words" BTR got robbed at the KCAs! End of discussion. On YouTube, my user name/profile is FishStickFriday. I'm thinking of doing some a capella covers of BTR songs and posting them up on YouTube. This Is Our Someday is already up. It has been for some time... On Twitter, I'm @FishStickFriday. I may regret this later, but I'm back on Tumblr. My username is fridayfishstickfriday (I THINK it's all lowercase...). So follow me if you wanna. Just not too many people. I don't want to sift through countless pages of dashboard again. That's actually kinda why I left the first time... I'm no longer accepting anonymous reviews, so take a couple of seconds (gasp!) and log in if you wanna leave me a review. I've came to the conclusion that when I DO get flamed, it's via an anon review, so this is me attempting to put a stop to that... Okay, I'm getting sick of people saying that guys can't be emotional. Like people can't flame me in anon reviews anymore, so what do they do? They sign in, but disable the private messaging feature, so I can't even reply to their review. Like I don't know if it's gender stereotypes, societal standards, or their own personal beliefs, but guys are not robots incapable of feeling emotion. News flash: guys cry too! If you have a problem with how emotional the guys are in my stories, that's one thing, but for you to think that guys aren't SUPPOSED to be emotional that guys aren't SUPPOSED to cry is just plain ridiculous! I realize that often I model the characters after myself a little bit; How would I react? How would I feel? How would I think? I am a sensitive and emotional guy myself, so sometimes, yes the guys get portrayed as such in my stories. I recently became addicted to The Hunger Games. There. Now you know me a little bit better. |
