Hey all! I'm Sirensoundwave. I don't have much to say other that I'm a total otaku, am an adult who still watches cartoons written for teens (I know far older people who still watch the Flintstones so leave me be) and love all things Japan. As you can see from my avatar, I am a Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon fan; specifically of Sailor Pluto. My penname is inspired by her 'Dead Scream' attack and the attributes of my OC Sylphine (who is in no way related to the senshiverse). I'm 26 and a private duty nurse with way too much free time at work. I write fics all the time but have never published any until now cuz they are all on paper. I'm a yaoi gurl; my favorite story list and my own story Night Fall make that painfully obvious. Don't know what yaoi means? No offense but how did you find this site? I am working on it!!!! 3/15/14 OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE: Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault.Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. Created to be Gabriel's Evil Angel, he has a much greater influence over the OUAT world than any one knows. Felix and Pan both share a related and tragic connection. One was murdered by his con artist family when he almost exposed their latest scam. Years later, one went insane and slaughtered his own family after learning the other's fate. I am facing the very real possibility of having to quit nursing because I am in so much pain. So much so it keeps me up at night. Some days I cannot walk. Sometimes I can't stand. Raising my arms above my head is exausting and if I look up suddenly, I get vertigo. It took me 15 minutes to open a soda bottle yesterday. I've tried several medications over the last 3 years that are effective for a little while before they just stop being useful. My doctor doesn't really know what more he can do at this point. Though not overly fond of my job, the idea of being completely unable to work is not something I look forward too. I'm not even 30 yet... 9/24/12 Got my invite to archiveofourown (AO3)!
