 Author has written 25 stories for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Veronica Mars, Harry Potter, Supernatural, and Arrow. Wow, it has now been over 10 years since I first discovered fanfics in general and this site in particular. In the beginning I was in middle school reading General Hospital fics and attempting, very poorly, to write my own. I don't think any of those attempts ever made it to the publishing stage and they all remained unfinished. Since then I've gone through phases with several different fandoms from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Harry Potter to Veronica Mars. These days I don't write nearly as much as I read and I'm a lurker in the Supernatural fandom more than anything. Current Fandoms: Supernatural - I'm a big fan of the close relationship the brothers had in the beginning of the series. I love fics where they have the chance to act like brothers again in light of the mistrust and betrayal we've had to watch growing between them over that last few seasons. I don't have any real set ships in this fandom but I just can't do wincest stories. Harry Potter - My guilty pleasure is Harry/Severus mentor fics. I like stories that touch on the politics of the wizarding world and enjoy stories where Harry isn't completely clueless about his place in wizarding society. Give me a powerful, independent Harry Potter with his friends by his side and an adult to mentor him and I'm a happy camper. Arrow - Who doesn't love Olicity? I don't mind Oliver with Sara but Laurel/Oliver just doesn't do it for me. I love Thea/Roy and I really don't think there are enough Oliver/Roy friendship/mentor stories out there. Ever since Oliver saved Roy in Salvation (1x18) and again in Three Ghosts (2x09) I've loved their mentor/friend interactions. I don't think there are nearly enough stories about them in the brothers-in-arms, apprentice/mentor capacity. I'm certainly out of the habit of writing fics but I've recently found myself in love with the series Arrow. I've found myself searching out fics to add to certain scenes, looking for those tags to my favorite episodes and so on. Finally, after not being able to find that one fic that just wraps everything up "the way it should have gone" to my liking, I was inspired to try my hand at another one-shot. This might be a one off thing or, who knows, maybe I'll be back in the fanfic writing business. :) |
