Carson and Barrow get locked in the wine cellar for an evening and have to talk to each other. It's not something either one of them really enjoys.

Following a day(s) in the life of our favorite butler, housekeeper, and those with whom they cross paths. Set in 1927 during what would be Series 7. In response to Chelsie-Fan's prompt for Series 7 that we will not be getting. It will be updated each Sunday at the regular Downton Abbey viewing time. Canon.

January 1922: Part of the 'Moving' AU. Charles and Elsie continue to build their life in Hull, visit Downton, go to Germany and eventually take their trip to Italy. Life happens along the way. This is, essentially, my take on series 4 and beyond (WAY BEYOND)!

A violent incident obliges Barrow to revisit his perspective on a few things and forces Carson to confront some unpleasant truths. The Carsons are married, but this story is non-canon, set in 1926. The rating is for violence in the first chapter and for the discussion of "mature subjects" in subsequent chapters.

Elsie hasn't visited her sister Becky in some time. When Cora offers her the opportunity to do so, Elsie must address her conflicting feelings for Becky. Meanwhile, Cora gets to exercise a little noblesse oblige in her housekeeper's favour. Not my usual bailiwick..., but Becky as one-time-plot-device struck me as a little callous.

Charles and Elsie have a visitor at the Abbey. Set with series 5 characters, but lets just pretend Charles and Elsie are a tad younger.

Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes find out that getting married is a lot more complicated than a proposal and an acceptance. This story charts their progress through the obstacle course between engagement and wedding breakfast. Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes feature prominently, but the story is told from the perspectives of different characters. Canon in spirit, with much original material.

Modern AU: When Professor Hughes decides she's had enough of being alone and waiting hopelessly for her dear friend to fall in love with her, she sets into motion a chain of events Professor Carson might not be ready for. With Elsie embracing a new 'live a little' attitude, the Downton University faculty will never be the same again but could Charles really lose the woman he loves?

A short ficlet, total fluff, set in series three. Written around that time, AND my first published fic! (kindness & reviews appreciated!)

Mrs. Hughes is apprehensive about some "aspects" of marriage that she had not considered when she accepted Mr. Carson. This story explores her internal agonies as she tries to come to terms with the problems of a woman in "late middle age" approaching marriage for the first time. Meanwhile, Mr. Carson is dealing with his own demons in a related matter.

After the deaths of Lady Sybil and Matthew Mr. Carson is not coping very well. Mrs Hughes finds herself hovering over him more and making sure he's eating. Her worst fear is that he overworks himself trying to help Lady Mary.

AU. Elsie Hughes runs a struggling shop in the small village of Argyll. But when her Goddaughter, Anna convinces her to to attend the Ghillies Ball being held by the new Lord of the Manor, she will find something that she didn't even realise she was missing.

Sequel to Love Never Dies. Charles and Elsie struggle with two divorces, keeping their relationship a secret, and more "bumps" along the way.

Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes are well-respected for their ability to keep their cool in stressful situations, but can they keep their cool when it comes to each other? Carson and Robert grieve at the grave of Robert's father, the Sixth Earl of Grantham, and take the first steps in forging the relationship that will see them through the next three decades in the life of Downton Abbey and make them, eventually, friends. Set about 1897. Introspective and a little melancholy in places. One-shot.

Troubled by Carson's behaviour, the Dowager intervenes. She tried to enjoy these last weeks she had with him as much as she could, tried to imprint every moment they had together in her memory, knowing that once he had left, it would never come back. Mr Carson is forced to consider retirement.
