It was time to prove to himself, and everyone else, that he belonged at Beacon, and that he has what it took to be a Huntsman. The Vytal Tournament was coming up, but he wasn't just going to compete. Instead, he sought a different way to help people. If he could not wield the weapons of Man to protect Man, then he would make them for others to wield in his stead.

Rejected from Beacon, Jaune gets an offer to take a new path into the unknown world of the supernatural, and quickly learns that grimm aren't the only creatures that stalk the night. It might not be what he wanted, but if it means keeping his dream alive, he can adapt. After all, dealing in magic can't be any harder than being a huntsman.

After sleeping with all the single mothers in Mantle, Jaune thinks his mission in life is complete and is ready to die, until Jacque Schnee himself invites him to a party at the Schnee Manor, promising him that Willow Schnee will be attending.
