I am a college student majoring in Biology and minoring in Japanese. I like french fries with mayonnaise, but I despise ketchup. I play the flute and am learning how to play the bagpipe. I love dragons. My favorite color is green, but I'm also quite partial to purple, black and blue. I am more or less asexual, but not aromantic (that is, I am utterly uninterested in sex but am not uninterested in romantic relationships). Is this a sufficient number of factoids about me, then? :)

I have a dA account with the same username, sans the space between ‘sargent’ and ‘snarky,’ so if you’re curious to see my artwork and some more of my writing please go there. I also have an LJ - under the name sargent_snarky - where I ramble on about life and also post more of my FFIV fanfic.

Writing/fandom Status

All my stories are on hiatus, except for A Moment Too Late, which I am still actively working on (although I've rewritten the next chapter a half dozen times already - can't seem to get it right. grr.)

Permanent Obsessions: Dark is Rising Sequence. Final Fantasy IV. Good Omens. Silmarillion. Supernatural.

Current (and likely to be temporary) Obsessions: Assassin's Creed. Darker than black. Dresden Files. Fire Emblem 9/10. Mononoke. Smallville.

Reviewing

I do not always review stories, even if I really like them for multiple reasons. I may be reading the story during a brief free moment or when I’m tired, or I may be in a mean and nasty mood and wish to spare you a snappish series of less-than-kind remarks. Or perhaps I simply don’t have anything to say but am curious as to how and if you’ll continue something. Therefore, if you receive an Author Alert or Favorite from me but no review, my apologies, but that’s just how it’s going to be.

Also, when I do review, I like to leave thorough, thoughtful reviews, and if I am crunched for time, am especially tired, or am multitasking, chances are good that I won’t be able to do that, and I don’t want to cheat you out of the constructive criticism you deserve as an author. Therefore, please don’t take a lack of reviews as an insult. If you’re on my alerts, I am definitely reading your work, and I like it.

That said, I really love receiving reviews myself, and while I can’t force you to write them, I sincerely appreciate each and every one. They are very encouraging, and those that give constructive criticism are extremely helpful.
